Hey, Elizabeth Edwards! BOO!
December 17th, 2007 at 08:34am Mark Noonan
Seems we GOPers scare the poor lady:
Elizabeth Edwards, wife of Democratic hopeful John Edwards, lamented with Iowa caucus goers about her fear of the Republican Party.
“Republicans should scare us in a lot of ways,” Edwards said as she was introducing her husband at a town hall in Dubuque, Iowa.
Speaking about Republican candidate Mike Huckabee, who recently surged ahead in Iowa polls, Elizabeth noted, “He seems like a nice charming guy,” before saying that Huckabee, “doesn’t believe in evolution and has some nutty views about what it is we should do about ending violence in our inner city — we should make sure all of our young people are armed. Republicans scare me.”
She went on to warn about the larger party, saying, “Karl Rove may not be working in the White House anymore but you can pretty much be sure he’s going back in the presidential race… I believe he’s going to be back and he’s going be doing that same kind of Rovian politics that we’ve seen before — the kind of attacks that we saw against Sen. McCain in South Carolina we can expect to see against our nominee, ’swift boating,’ all of that kind of stuff again.”
I know we’re supposed to completely lay off Mrs. Edwards as she is dying of cancer - but, come on! This is paranoia writ large! Karl Rove is out to get you! Muhahahaha!!!!
I’ve only met Mr. Rove once in my life - and he seemed to be somewhat less than a spawn of the Evil One. I’m sure he kicks puppies for fun (all Republicans do, ya know?), but he didn’t come across as someone who is hiding under Elizabeth Edwards’ bed with a stack of swift boats all set to go. And I’d like to really know what is nuttier - Huckabee on evolution, or John Edwards thinking he can be President.

So, does dying give you the right to say stupid sh*t? Of course it does. The problem here is that the Breck Girl’s wife drives the negative side of his campaign and is taking advantage of her illness….pathetic.
Talk about being vilified…..geez! These Dems need enemas.

This makes complete sense. Afterall, Elizabeth wears the pants in that family, as most liberal women do in their respective relationships with femme liberal men.
Liberals have an on and off relationship with the truth, and that should scare everybody.

I love you guys (in a strictly straight kind of way)…
“Breck Girl”. What happend to Silky Pony? Do we need Keef here to make up some more names?
Damn that Elizabeth Edwards… she should be barefoot in the kitchen popping out babies!! That would be the only real use for any woman, right neocon?

Miss Edwards reminds us that the democrats are against gunowners, Christians and all other people of faith. Islamic, Hebrew or any other faith that doesn’t accept their Marxist beliefs on our origin. The people should see the difference, and do the right thing and vote Mike

Impaler, any proof of those accusations or is that just what you heard and want to believe?

Joe- She said it!
doesn’t believe in evolution and has some nutty views about what it is we should do about ending violence in our inner city — we should make sure all of our young people are armed. Republicans scare me.”

So if we don’t believe in evolution like Liz we are just a bunch of backwards fools?
8. sleepygene | December 17th, 2007 at 1:20 pm

9. The Lib Impaler | December 17th, 2007 at 1:44 pm

Joe,
Do you have any proof of your accustion towards me?
Or is that just what you heard and want to believe it?
11. Joe | December 17th, 2007 at 3:52 pm
Well neocon,
This comment certainly sounds like you were implying it…
Afterall, Elizabeth wears the pants in that family, as most liberal women do in their respective relationships with femme liberal men
12. neocon | December 17th, 2007 at 4:23 pm
Oh so you were assuming that I meant something, right? So from now on I will just assume that you implied something and will call you on it, ok?
Impaler had better proof of his assertion.
Liberals can be so annoyingly stupid.

By the way isn’t it time for Laura Bush’s release of her Christmas cookie receipe?
14. Almiranta | December 17th, 2007 at 5:36 pm
plainjane is exactly as relevant as usual, though her one silly sentence didn’t really give her time indulge in her ususal vitriol.
Joe, you are just a silly twit way too impressed with what you evidently think is wit.
The Edwards are perfectly matched pieces of work, as mean as rattlesnakes and about as trustworthy. They have, so far, attacked Catholics on their web site, and are now going after fundamentalist Christians as well.
It is very much in character for them to send Elizabeth out as front man, as she can play the cancer card if anyone dares to notice how nasty she is. And John-boy can, and will, hide behind her skirts as she throws out insults and attacks that no one else would have the nastiness to dare.
Anyone who takes a hard look at John’s career, at the arguments he made in court, at the results of his wholly dishonest representation of medical facts in the pursuit of becoming fabulously rich, will have a window into the soul and spirit of this man, and his wife is another example of what he is like and what matters to him.
BTW, has anyone mentioned to them that running against Bush, and his adminstration, is soooooo yesterday?
These poor people—they are so programmed to be AGAINST things they simply can’t find a way to be FOR anything, so they have to keep dredging up boogey men to run against.
I’ve seen the old Snapping Turtle Carville out there pimping for Dems—did Liz get into a snit about that? Or is she too busy looking for Rove behind every scaaaaarrrryyyy shadow?
One thing about the Edwards duo—they are not what you could call ’subtle’. Or smart. Lizzie should take a look at the stats about what has happened to the crime rates in areas where “everyone” IS armed, before she starts thinking that puting words in a candidate’s mouth, claiming he wants people to be able to protect themselves, will “scare” people. Head up, Liz—it only scares CRIMINALS.

Liz
first of all liberals (Marxist’s) have been pro ported to have killed upwards of 100,000,000 people world wide in the 20 century.
Throw in another 40,000,000 USA abortions and….. well lizzy you get the message.
WE scare your kind!
YOU murder in the name of your socialism.
Slight difference

Her comments are not helping Edwards that’s for sure. The American people hate cowards. Hiding behind your dying wife, whom you’ve assigned the role of hatchet person because she dying and can’t be attacked, is a cowardly tactic.
It’s too bad Elizabeth’s not running. She’s showing real courage. She?s standing by her man doing the heavy lifting while battling a terminal illness.
