Jesus what a game!
The Giants are giving Brady one hell of a fight tonight!

great game. I was worried for a while but that last one to Moss to break all those records couldn’t have been scripted better…

I have to hand it to the Pats. That’s one hell of a team. But I hope they lose in the playoffs.

neocon, this is one example of two conservatives who disagree. I agree that the Pats are one hell of a team. But I also hope they run the table, even though, for the longest time, I’ve been a Pats-hater. But, you see, back in 1972, I was, and still am, a big Redskins fan. And you know how the Dolphins finished their 17-0 season…

Huck,
I would want the Pats to run the table for people like Brady, Bruschi, Vrabel, and even Moss, all of whom I admire. I don’t know why, but I just despise Belichick and am growing tired of their dominance.
However, I am and always have been a 49er fan, so I can’t really fault other teams for dominating. The 49ers in the 80’s were very dominant. The team in 1985 or Montana, Rice, Taylor, Craig and Rathman were unbeatable.

neocon, I used to be a Pats-hater for the same reason I’m a ‘boys-hater. Their fans are, for the most part, unbearable. I’ve met very few Patriots/Cowboys/Sox fans who weren’t total a**holes when it came to their team. I used to love watching the Red Sox pull the el-foldo in the WS, and in ‘86, while in England, I recorded Game Six. I had a friend who was an ardent Sox fan, and whenever he used to slam my O’s, I’d offer to let him watch the Game 6 video, from the bottom of the ninth on. This would shut him up quickly. Well, once the Sox finally won in ‘04, I erased all my hatred of the team and accepted the fact that how I feel about sports teams merely affects me, and not others.
Of course, I’ll be watching the ’skins-’boys game very closely today–with much pessimism, of course. It’s who I am, but I have serenity in knowing that it’s just sports, and not life. As in politics, I don’t let other entities influence my happiness. Life will go on, regardless. I had predicted a 7-9 season for the Redskins; happily, I was wrong. I still stand by my prediction for the Super Bowl, 34-31, Cowboys, but I’ll still be pulling for a Pats perfect season, unless the ’skins should pull off a miracle.
Go ’skins! Go Pats!
