From The State That Brought You Gay Marriage…
January 10th, 2008 at 07:39pm Matt Margolis
In 2003, the Supreme Judicial Court imposed gay marriage in my state… and now our governor, Deval Patrick (Obama-lite to you), wants to impose allowing illegal immigrants to get the in-state tuition rates for state colleges and universities … without going through the legislature.

that is he wants to allow illegal aliens to PAY state tuiton
2. Bigfoot | January 10th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
He wants illegal aliens to pay all right, but LESS than the amount paid by either:
Non-Massachusetts U.S. citizens,
Legal resident aliens living outside of Mass., or
Foreign students who legally have visas.
Obey the law, pay higher tuition.
Defy the law, pay lower tuition.
Good one, governor!
(sarcastically speaking, of course)
Although it’s been a while, I still remember quite a few grad student teaching assistants who fell into that last category.

If you folks up there in Massachusetts dont rally up the possee, and get some serious action to fight this stuff going, we might just sever ya from the union!!

sigh - you guys are crazy. You have to accept the fact that like it or not there are millions of illegal aliens that have been in this country for many years. The vast majority of them are upstanding and hard working people. It is your typical xenophobic fears and the likes of Ann Coulter who would demonize them. Let me remind you that except for those of you who are native americans were are all illegal immigrants or decedents of illegal imigrants so give your fear mongering a break…

liberalIT,
You are selectively choosing a point in history and saying that anyone coming to this country after that arbitrary point is an illegal alien (although I am not sure how illegal applies given there was no laws then etc.). You could extend that and say that Native Americans were illegal aliens as well since they arrived to this land from somewhere else as well. What a sophmoric argument you are making.
The fact an illegal alien can get instate tuition and pay less to study than my US born son (should he decide to matriculate at a NJ post secondary institution) because he is from out of state is wrong. Period.
Stop race baiting. Stop inanely mentioning Ann Coulter since she has nothing to do with this.
This has ZERO to do with race and everything to do with laws, due process and equality.
The fact you distill our opposition to this down to some racist reaction is sad, pathetic and so unbelivably typical of the feeble-minded left these days.
Why not just give illegal aliens free health care? Free food? Free rent?
Why not give everyone everything for free? I mean, it’s our right to have everything, anytime right?
You guys are ridiculous.

GOP4ME,
Watch out–libretardTHC’s gonna revert to the enviro-whacko theory of “all humans are illegals.” Don’t argue with her; her rhetoric is recycled from the DailyKooks crowd.
Matt, are you sure about this tuition thing? I think in order for these illegals to participate, they must first enter into a gay marriage. lol
7. js | January 11th, 2008 at 8:16 am
out of the 21 million illegal aliens in this nation, it would not be hard to imagine AQ drumming up a small group of hispanic speaking radical muslims from the ME and assembling a military force that our Troops would have to deal with
if they can smuggle pot, coke, and horse by the ton across our borders as well, they could also smuggle guns and bombs
working to pacify the illegal immigrants, let them live here without serious consequence, after they knowingly came here, broke our laws, and lied to us, is a dangerous thing to do

So I guess those other 10 states suck as well. Or is it only Mass that sucks because it is a Democratic Governor that Matt doesn’t like?? Or does it only suck because gay marriage is ok in this state?
I’m not sold one way or the other on if this is good or not. I just want to know why you people are outraged about this, but not about other states.
Please clarify.

In 2003, the Supreme Judicial Court imposed gay marriage in my state…
And shortly thereafter, society as we know it in MA collapsed and disappeared, just like Mark Noonan predicts will happen when gay marriage is acepted and…wait, society didn’t disintegrate? Gee, what a shocker!

Mike Huckabee did sign into a law a program that did just that in Missippi. Not heard how he opposes it, or regrets having not opposed more vigorously now.
12. Brian (Boston) | January 11th, 2008 at 2:50 pm
The judges were upholding the State Constitution. Everyone is considered equal. Not unequal. Not equal and separate, but equal.
Article I
All people are born free and equal and have certain natural, essential and unalienable rights; among which may be reckoned the right of enjoying and defending their lives and liberties; that of acquiring, possessing and protecting property; in fine, that of seeking and obtaining their safety and happiness. Equality under the law shall not be denied or abridged because of sex, race, color, creed or national origin.
And here is the section about marriage:
Chapter III
Article V. All causes of marriage, divorce, and alimony, and all appeals from the judges of probate shall be heard and determined by the governor and council, until the legislature shall, by law, make other provision.
Since there is no law either way on what the definition of marriage is in the State, the judges ruled for equality.

Just exactly how did Mike Huckabee sign into law such a program when he was the govenor of Arkansas?

“All people are born free and equal and have certain natural, essential and unalienable rights”
So please, explain the natural purpose of a mans seed in the lower bowels.
Can you affirm that purpose with testimony from a Medical Doctor please.

JS, what the heck are you talking about?
16. Just Another Taxpayer | January 11th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Sunny,
You are right. However, Huckabee did sign ito law a program that does what Mr. Margolis is complaining Deval Patrick is trying to do in Massachusetts right now. Has Mr. Huckabee been castigated for this?

in reply to 12. Brian (Boston) above, referring to the quote he posted (I take it, from Mass. Constitution)
simply pointing out that sodomy is in fact not natural and should not be considered to be an “inalienable right” guaranteed by the referrenced quote….there is nothing “natural” about it to be straight forward and truthful
18. JS | January 11th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
Article III. [As the happiness of a people, and the good order and preservation of civil government, essentially depend upon piety, religion and morality; and as these cannot be generally diffused through a community, but by the institution of the public worship of God, and of public instructions in piety, religion and morality: Therefore, to promote their happiness and to secure the good order and preservation of their government, the people of this commonwealth have a right to invest their legislature with power to authorize and require, and the legislature shall, from time to time, authorize and require, the several towns, parishes, precincts, and other bodies politic, or religious societies, to make suitable provision, at their own expense, for the institution of the public worship of God, and for the support and maintenance of public Protestant teachers of piety, religion and morality, in all cases where such provision shall not be made voluntarily.
This is also from the Mass. Constitution.
19. JS | January 11th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Isnt it aweful how they took such a document upholding piety and religion and morality, and turned to justify legalizing homosexual marriage?
Just aweful.

JS, much of the 3rd article has been changed through amendments.
Who says sodomy is not a natural act? Sodomy has been around long before Christianity.

Thats a really stupid reply Brian.
http://www.mass.gov/legis/const.htm
you really need to be up on the truth and reality if you want to debate
Article 3 still exists in the constitution, just as it was before…superceded, they really didnt change much of the jist of it
“As the public worship of God and instructions in piety, religion and morality, promote the happiness and prosperity of a people and the security of a republican government”
the point being, piety, religion and morality is represented as the backbone and security of a Republican Government, yet, the contradiction that sodomy is not natural (then and now) nor was it moral when these words were written (as goes to the intent of the founding fathers who wrote it)
deviant sexual behavior should be rejected in the spirit of the Mass. constitution, not embraced as a civil right nor a just cause to impose upon society some imagined equality issue with natural behavior

And again, I will challenge you.
What is the natural purpose of a mans seed in the lower bowels.
I can scrape up the analysis from MD’s, that actually says its an unnatural and unhealthy practice. Matter of fact, the Mass. Courts had a letter from several thousand medical Doctors attesting to that very fact, yet, they chose to violate the spirit of the Mass. Constitution, and impose upon this great nation an abomination in conflict with the very moral codes that created the bench they sit at

JS, and I can provide thousands of years of human history where sodomy was acceptable.
Is it because the church says it’s unacceptable? Should we outlaw gays from having sex?
27. js | January 12th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
Please, provide thousands of years of human history after I die. Up till now, in my life, and the lives of the people who wrote the Massachusettes constitution, sodomy is an immoral act.
Im not insterested in your obsession with some illusional acceptability of sexually deviant, unnatural behavior.
28. js | January 12th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
“Is it because the church says it’s unacceptable? ”
Are you always unwilling to face the truth? Do you really need to insult religion to defend your lies? I challenged you on the medical facts, your give this as a reply? Its stupid, is this the best ya got ??!!
“Should we outlaw gays from having sex?”
Actually, in every state of the Union sodomy law made it illegal.
The Supreme Courts liberal acceptance of immorality as a right resulted in legislation that they should never have done, because it violated the rights of the States.

and further, technical discussion of the medical aspect and, to your demise, a confirmation that sodomy isnt a natural human act;
The structure and function of the male and female human reproductive systems are fully complementary. Anatomically he vagina is designed to receive the penis. It is lined with squamous epithelium and is surrounded by a muscular tube intended for penile intromission. The rectum, on the other hand, is lined with a delicate mucosal surface and a single layer of columnar epithelium intenuea primarily for the reabsorption of water and electrolytes. The rectum is incapable of mechanical protection against abrasion and severe damage to the colonic mucosa can result if objects that are large, sharp, or pointed are inserted into the rectum (Agnew, 1986).
