Ogonowski To Challenge John Kerry
January 13th, 2008 at 10:40am Matt Margolis
Last year, Republican Jim Ogonowski was narrowly defeated by Niki Tsongas in the race for the 5th Congressional District. It is now being reported that Ogonowski is planning to challenge John Kerry for his Senate seat. Does he have a chance of victory? I look at various factors that will come into play in the race here.

As maddeningly inconsistent our junior senator from MA is, Jim Ogonowski hasn’t a prayer. Feel free though to give generously to his campaign.

He has about as much chance at defeating Ol’ Spitball as Chucklebee does at defeating Hitlery. Actually, he probably has more, but that means he loses by less…

I actually do think he has a chance. Lots of people are upset with Kerry and are looking for something and someone different. It depends on Ogonowski’s message.
From the election he ran a few months back, I was not impressed. He ran on that terrorists are coming here and we must have more military. Sounds more like Rudy to me.
