“Our rights come from God - not government”
And, David, that dovetails with the fact that a government that’s powerful enough to give you everything you want is also powerful enough to take everything you have.

Spook,
What I “want” or “need” government to do is to provide security (read: Military, etc.) in support of all the of the United States, and appoint Constitutional judges to the Supreme Court. After that, please don’t hinder my already rough climb into the “good life” of my choosing. To each their own after all.
Before this starts a hissy fit—President G.W. Bush has not, and never has, violated the U.S. Constitution. Not so much as I have proof he (and his staff) has not but rather the lack of proof (except for twisting words) that “he is killing the Constitution” group has proven the exception.
Everything else I have belongs to me & my God. Work hard and do for oneself while doing as best one can for others. Just my $0.02 cents (before HillaryObamaEdwards taxes).
-David
BTW, give the presidency to anyone of the Dems and we will see just how powerful the government is at taking things away…after all it takes a …country?
