What Media Bias? Part 109

You remember the famous pictures of Yasser Arafat giving blood for the victims of 9/11? It was a hasty photo op arranged after CNN et al, in an accidental outbreak of moral clarity, broadcast all that footage of folks in Ramallah jumping up and down in the street celebrating the attacks while crazy old biddies passed around the candy.
In The Weekly Standard, Scott Johnson reports on the event’s apparent exposure as a hoax. In the words of Charles Enderlin:
Arafat didn’t like needles, and so the doctor put a needle near his arm and agitated a bag of blood. The reporters took the requisite photographs.
“The reporters” included Reuters, the Associated Press, and the BBC. I wonder if they’d care to comment.
I think that everyone realised at the time how bogus and staged that was…but one still does wonder why the MSM feels compelled to report such clearly false things as true…

Because 95% of reporters are liberals and their agenda is emotionally driven and clearly evident in every article they write. Objectivity is no longer the foundation of journalism, it has been replaced by hyper-sensitive, irrational reporters who view events through thier agenda driven prism.

Because Arafat was their guy. He was the one who they could always count on to provide these photo ops without any risk to themselves.
To go out and take a REAL look at the PLO and the various radical factions would have shown that the Israelis had a legitimate reason to be so aggressive in their anti-terrorist activities.

And our lefty troll “friends” or demoncrats, as I now love to call them, wonder why we are more than a little suspect of the MSM’s reporting of such things as “global warming” and the “clintons”.
It is to laugh that they hold themselves up as the ones who question everything yet they unquestioningly lap up the MSM’s liberal tainted spew with glee, abandon and a consistency that would make an atomic clock jealous.
Useful idiots indeed.

I note that the Usual Suspects are very very quiet on this—probably remembering the other staged events that were passed off as “news”.
