Karl Rove on Campaign ‘08

February 3rd, 2008 at 02:00am Mark Noonan

When Karl Rove talks about politics, wise people listen. Most importantly - he’s pointing out that making sweeping predictions at this point is foolhardy.

That same Karl Rove who predicted that the GOP would hold both houses of Congress because he had “the math” and the MSM polls were all wrong.

Rove has done immeasurable damage to the political process with his divisive, dishonest campaign tactics.

Anyone who “listens” to Karl Rove has serious moral deficiencies.

    LiberalMind,

Another curiosity of modern times - the divisive and dishonest Democrats accused Rove of being divisive and dishonest, and rank-and-file liberals believed them, even though the truth was right in front of them.

Someone has to do a doctoral thesis on just why liberals are so easily led by the nose…

  • 3. LiberalMind  |  February 3rd, 2008 at 2:42 am

The truth about Rove has nothing to do with Democrats. His actions speak for themselves, from push polling lies about John McCain in 2000 to the swift boat lies about John Kerry.

Liberals are hardly led around by the nose. We do not have Fox News telling us who to hate and how to think. And no liberal would want that noise anyhow.

Rove’s strategy has always been to break America in two, hoping to wind up with 50% plus one to win elections.

And anyone who would work to get so retarded an individual as Bush in office has serious problems with their sanity.

  • 4. Mark Noonan  |  February 3rd, 2008 at 2:54 am

    Liberal,

Interesting - I never knew they allowed mentally retarded people to be fighter pilots.

Other than that, you are just a crashing bore - hate filled, but a bore.

  • 5. Marty13  |  February 3rd, 2008 at 6:42 am

Mark sez, “I never knew they allowed mentally retarded people to be fighter pilots.”

You are absolutely correct Mark. Individuals diagnosed with even mild MR, are not allowed to fly even obsolete fighter planes. As a matter a fact, I’ve heard that those who can’t pass drug tests have their flight status revoked.
At least W got to wear his TANG flight jacket around Harvard Square while obtaining his MBA.

Liberal, T.Boone Pickens still has $1,000,000 for you ! Just prove any of your insane rants or those insane rants of your traitor buddy Francois Kerry and the check is yours!

And Bush is retarded and Rove insane? Guess what? No one has collected the money yet. Your entire world is a lie. And such is the life of a Demoturd.

It seems that Karl Rove has earned the reputation he deserved. Reputation? I think most of America has the impression that Rove is a sneaky, vile, selfish, cunning, heartless bastard. Let’s face it. Good. You reap what you sow.

I’m glad he’ll go down in history as a shrewd Machiavellian prick.

No one trusts him. No one really likes him. Oh sure you’ll have him over for dinner. Your gullible. To you, Karl Rove is swell. A great guy.

After all, you have the anti-christ Bush’s picture above your bed.

Say your prayers to Bush and go nighty night.

    The devil has spoken.

  • 9. bozo the neoclown  |  February 3rd, 2008 at 8:48 am

Karl who? The fact that neoclowns would take the word of such a non-entity is on par with them calling one of “dionne’s psychic friends” for political advice and speculation

LiberalMind & Jason, I’m curious; do you know who Bruce Lindsey is? How would you say he compared to Karl Rove?

  • 11. Marty13  |  February 3rd, 2008 at 9:30 am

Bruce Lindsey?? Ok Spook he appears to be the Kathy Bates charactor Libby Holden in the faux Clinton bio, Primary Colors. He was the go to guy when Bill’s personal life threatened to impinge on his public. What’s your point?
Are you suggesting Lindsey body of work for BC has had the Balkanizing effect that Rove’s have had?

Funny about the drug testing pilots thing. They didnt start drug testing Soldiers till the 90’s, long after Kerry was discharged.

I wonder, do they test Congress?

    They should.

    6. SEW | February 3rd, 2008 at 6:48 am Liberal, T.Boone Pickens still has $1,000,000 for you

This rant is hollow. Texas Trash Pickens has changed the bet and will not give out the money unless all of Kerry’s records from the moment of birth to today are released.

  • 14. plainjane  |  February 3rd, 2008 at 1:09 pm

Is this the same Karl that predicted a strong neocon win in ‘06?

If I had my choice, I would like Rove up on stage with the Repug nominee at ever campaign event, just in case the voting public somehow forgets the incompetence of the current Republican administration. A picture of him kissing the candidate would be even better.

  • 15. SEW  |  February 3rd, 2008 at 1:26 pm

13 plainjane “This rant is hollow”

I must have missed the records release. Will you provide the link for Francois’ military records that he has promised to release on multiple occassions. Link please, no BS spin.

    14. plainjane “Is this the same Karl that predicted a strong neocon win in ‘06?”

And both Billary and Hussein start most sentences with “when I am President.” How will these mutually exclusive predictions work out?

  • 16. Ricorun  |  February 3rd, 2008 at 1:39 pm

SEW: How will these mutually exclusive predictions work out?

Sequentially maybe? Lol! I’m sorry, I just couldn’t resist. But I’m impressed you used the phrase “mutually exclusive”.

As a person who has met Karl Rove, I have to say that the level of hatred directed towards him is astounding…he’s really just a soft-spoken guy with keen political insights.

You know, I think that James Carville is wrong on just about everything, but he’s an excellent political observer, and when he’s got something to say, I’m going to listen.

  • 18. SEW  |  February 3rd, 2008 at 2:24 pm

Rico, technically you are correct. Good cover with ‘maybe’, I don’t think so, but who knows. And when each states ‘when I am President’, my guess is that both are referring to 08. But even then with a Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton ticket, a win and an impeachment of Billary, 08 could work too. Shouldn’t be too difficult for her to lie under oath.

I still like your Aitch for H. Sharp mind regardless of politics.

It’s comments like these that just mistify me and re-inforces the kool aid theory! Could you produce some kind of evidence please? Even just an eensy weensy bit!

That’s right, you only have The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, etc. etc. etc. No liberal would want that noise anyhow? Ha, Lol! Hey liberalmind, did you ever post a response to our beloved forefathers? No, couldn’t step out of rank and file?

Sad thing is, you liberals really are principled and believe strongly in what you believe. Unfortunately you believe in failed, unethical policies that usually have a soulbinding moral attachment.

That’s what I call being led around by the nose!

Not to mention …blah, blah, blah no point to comment just a chance for a bitter, nasty person to clutter a blog

  • 21. SteaM  |  February 4th, 2008 at 5:30 pm

Rove is no genius. He’s not insane. He’s just really good at being everything that is wrong with our political system. Dirty, underhanded, little nerdy, win-at-all-costs, worm who had his day.

I say, if you want to hold onto him as your hero then go for it. He’s only going to drag anyone down who associates with him regarding politics.
