CPAC, Part I Hillary’s Money

Paying My Debt

February 7th, 2008 at 08:15pm Matt Margolis

Well, we are at Morton’s Steakhouse. As I lost the Superbowl bet, I am paying for Mark’s New York Strip. I am getting the filet mignon.

Cheers.

The excessive consumption of beef is seriously damaging the environment.

Critical rain forest acreage is turned into cattle grazing land while the byproducts of factory farming degrade the water and air.

    LiberalMind,

Ok, then you can join us Catholics and only eat fish on Friday’s during Lent…and if you really want to give the environment a shot in the arm, then you can fast from Holy Thursday until the end of the Easter Vigil (fasting means abstaining from meat and only eating one light meal, and two smaller meals which don’t equal the one light meal in the course of a 24 hour period…though what I’ve just hit you with is a 72 hour fast…)

I really do not really pay any head to these Pagan holidays. To each his own, I guess.

I often consider the cost to the environment when selecting foods.

I do not eat bluefin tuna nor do I consume veal or Chilean seabass. I rarely eat red meat mostly for concerns about my health.

If some species is endangered, I abstain.

You think cattle grazing is bad, check out the numbers for starch (corn, et. al.) based biofuels.

    Mark,

Have you had a liberal spit in your food before tonight?

Maybe in Brazil, but here in the USA, we use grass fields and prairies. Beef cattle also help the environment by providing fertilizer. (Yes, there is a good use for bull[bleep].)

All this twaddle about “damaging the environment” makes me hungry for a nice rare porterhouse.

OMG is there no end to the liberalism. Let the guy enjoy a steak.

OMG is there no end to the liberalism?

One can only hope, but, sadly, there is no vaccine or cure yet.

Nothing better then an 8oz medium rare fillet mignon. Man do I miss summer. Might have to set up the bbq in the shed when I get home tonight.
