Poll: McCain and Obama Heading for Virginia Victories
February 11th, 2008 at 09:11am Mark Noonan
Mason-Dixon via Real Clear Politics has Obama up 53/37 over Clinton, while McCain is up 55/27 over Huckabee.
For the GOP, it doesn’t matter so much as McCain is already the presumptive nominee - but if Hillary can’t start pulling out some convincing victories over Obama, then she’s toast. The only question: even if well toasted, if she holds Obama to less than a first ballot majority, will she keep fighting and attempt to take the nomination away from the popular vote winner?
We’ll have to wait and see…

I can see her fighting, and using super delegates to try and win if all else fails. She truly seems to believe she deserves this. Ofcourse, I firmly believe she will be easier to beat than Obama, so I actually want to see Hillary win the dem nomination.

Hillary ‘winning’ the nomination via superdelegates or shennanigans via the ‘disenfranchised’ Michigan and Florida delegates would be fun to see.
Obama IS beatable. He’s been cruising on his rhetoric, but if you pin him down on actual policy, he can be proved to be just an empty suit.
Remember, he got the Il Senate seat because the MSM decided that the divorce and child custody records of both Obama’s primary and GOP opponents were ‘important’ to the voter, and went to extraordinary lengths to procure them.
Obama never had to defend his record in the Illinois Senate, his relations with shady contributors, nor his lack of leadership regarding the corruption in Springfield and Chicago.

McCain win? Not with my vote.
4. Joe | February 11th, 2008 at 12:07 pm
hermie,
It wasn’t that the media thought the divorce and child custody records were important. They thought that the reports that he frequented sex clubs with his wife and wanted her to perform sex in public.
That MIGHT be important when judging someones morals and judgement.

Joe:
The ‘reports’ were only the stories which were a product of the accusations that were contained within the sealed child custody hearings. Nasty and sometimes unproven accusations are made between divorcing couples. Recall, that Jack Ryan also accused his ex of infidelity. The MSM took extraordinary lengths to get the records unsealed, which if it was you or I, a judge would refuse. But they found a friendly judge to somehow come to the conclusion that these records were of vital public interest.
Geri Ryan made her accusations under oath, so she couldn’t very well state now they weren’t true, since the judge would then slap her with perjury and she’d stand a chance to lose custody of their son.

McCain will be hog-tied to Bush. Thus he will fail.
7. Sunny | February 11th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
hermie, you indignation regarding Jack Ryan’s divorce agreement becoming public is amusing considering what the GOP did to Bill Clintion and its attempt to impeach. I guess it is different if the sinner is a Democrat rather than a Republican. And you wonder why the word “hyprocrisy” is a term often used to describe Republicans. (And I am sure that Geri Ryan lied about what her husband wanted her to do in public - what else could you expect from a Hollywood liberal type?)

Just keep reminding voters that McCain is “Bush Third Term” and he will (or should given the reality) lose in November.
Praise Jesus that we have less than a year of the “Decider Commander Guy.”
It’s going to take a couple of decades of Democratic government to clean up after Bush’s eight years.
Well, I will even admit that some democrats were accomplices to Bush’s crimes.
9. NeoClown | February 11th, 2008 at 2:41 pm
Clinton, Obama, McCain. All three are good Democrats.
10. Doug | February 11th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
Mark, I saw a poll done yesterday that had McCain’s lead over Huckabee in Virginia diminish by 21 points in 3 days.

Puhleeze, Joey–it’s not important when a Donkaroach does it. Blue dress, anyone? Barney Frank, anyone?
Clinton, Obama, McCain. All three are good Democrats.
Oxymoron alert! Oxymoron alert! “Good” Democrats? There aren’t any…

Anyone ever notice the difference in the number of trolls to good guys who post during normal work hours? Don’t you trolls have jobs? You can only collect that unemployment for what, 26 weeks?
This wasn’t directed at Hermie or kjs…
13. Doug | February 11th, 2008 at 5:30 pm
keefer, what would a troll be defined as in relation to a website that supports Republicans - yeah, that would be someone constantly commenting how he won’t vote for the Republican nominee during the general election. Let’s see, that would by YOU!
14. Mark Noonan | February 11th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
Doug,
Anything is possible - we’ll have to see.
15. Mark Noonan | February 11th, 2008 at 5:39 pm
LiberalMind,
At a time when Hillary looks set to grab the nomination away from an Obama who is winning the actual votes fair and square, you say that there were crimes in the Bush Administration.
Geesh!
16. keefer | February 11th, 2008 at 5:50 pm
Sorry, Douggie, but your argument is flawed. Just because you trolls fall in line behind whomever you nominate, doesn’t make it right. I don’t support McCain, plain and simple. Will I support him if Hitlery wins the Donkaroach nomination? I don’t know, since my absentee ballot won’t be counted anyway.
Later, lemming…

>>Obama IS beatable. He’s been cruising on his rhetoric, but if you pin him down on actual policy, he can be proved to be just an empty suit.
Have you actually checked the extremely detailed position papers on his web site (he’s got a 64 page PDF download called ‘The Blueprint for Change’)? It blows anything away on McCain or Huckabee’s site.
In fact, McCain doesn’t even have a ‘health care’ position on his web site (which is number 1 priority for most voters in recent polls)! In addition, McCain has said he doesn’t understand the economy, but is reading Greenspan’s book! He is basically running for Bush’s 3rd term, continuing the course Bush has set. Considering how the American people think Bush’s presidency has gone. . . well, good luck with that.
BTW, have you seen the new McCain music video (like Obama’s ‘Yes We Can’)? Google for “john.he.is”, or search for it on YouTube! It’s really quite hilarious!

KJST
Im not sure I want to hillery win anything.
I would rather see the empty suit - lightweight Obama win, and be elected, than a CHANCE of the clintons any near the WH.
I believe bama would be a jimmy carter type of disaster for 4 years then out.
Hillary would be 4 years of unbelievable division, crime, and of course ole BJ billy.
20. coulterfan | February 11th, 2008 at 7:24 pm
Didn’t they call Reagan (one of Obama’s favorite presidents because of his inspiring, optimistic vision and rhetoric) an “empty suit”?
21. FmrMarine | February 11th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
Reagan a 2 time governor of one of our largest states called an empty suit by RATS? ….maybe!
bama = the epitome of a TRUE empty suit, but still better than hitlery.
GO mcLame!
22. coulterfan | February 11th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
Wrong again, FmrMarine!
A memo from Jerry H. Jones to Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney said:
“2. Bill Gulley spent an hour and a half or so with Richard Nixon in San Clemente last weekend. RN made one observation to Bill that he asked be passed on. RN feels that Ronald Reagan is a lightweight and not someone to be considered seriously or feared in terms of a challenge for the nomination. He further feels that we are building Reagan into a more formidable opponent than would be the case otherwise by responding to him in terms of our trip schedule -and how we talk about Reagan’s entering the race. He therefore recommends that we take it easy and not build up Reagan in any way through our actions or words.”
Actually, you may be technically correct as all the above are/were rats!
