Obama Will Have to Disavow These Obama Supporters

Check out this video - note the Cuban flag at one point at Obama headquarters with a picture of the mass-murdering thug Che Guevara superimposed.

Lay down with kook lefties…

    Nah..Its probably a bunch right-wing bush-bots trying to stir the pot…..

  • 2. Mark Noonan  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:04 pm

    Zach,

    Of course!

One does wonder, however, how people ostensibly involved in helping an American be elected President of the United States would fail to have an American flag prominently displayed…and what in heck would make someone think that a pic of a commie thug is an appropriate bit of decor for an American campaign headquarters?

  • 3. eric  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:09 pm

    Mark,
Funny, I just posted this in your other thread about Chinese Spies and the 2008 election. Clearly, his camp does not understand that Che was a murderous thug. Or they do and don’t care.

  • 4. Nietzsche-Is-Pietzsche  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:18 pm

FAUX News…?. Jesus why didn’t you get it from a less biased source of information, like say RNC Headquarters?

  • 5. Mark Noonan  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:36 pm

    NiP,

Yeah, Fox News put the flag there….

  • 6. hermie  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:38 pm

There were also no denials from the Obama camp regarding this report.

  • 7. eric  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:39 pm

Nietz, nice ad hominem. Do you dispute that Senator Obama has a Che flag in his Houston campaign office?

  • 8. Brett Michaels  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:40 pm

It wasnt his campaign headquarters. It was an office that belong to volunteers.

I can volunteer for McCain and fly a swatika outside my house. Does that mean McCain supports it?

Please do a modicum of research.

“The office featured in this video is funded by volunteers of the Barack Obama Campaign and is not an official headquarters for his campaign.”

  • 9. Mark Noonan  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:42 pm

    Brett,

And just as soon as you can find a set of McCain volunteers stupid enough to fly an enemy flag, you’ll have a point…

  • 10. eric  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:45 pm

So his volunteers are daft and have no problem flying a Che flag. Great.

  • 11. Retired Spook  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:48 pm

Clearly, his camp does not understand that Che was a murderous thug. Or they do and don’t care.

eric, I’ve generally found that those who celebrate Che know exactly who he was and consider him a hero.

  • 12. eric  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:51 pm

    Spook,
That is truly sad. Have you ever seen the movie Motorcycle Diaries? Talk about romanticizing a murderer …

  • 13. Doug  |  February 12th, 2008 at 1:59 pm

You are missing the point, the flag probably was intentionally put there by Obama’s campaign to try to shore up hispanic support, after all that is what they need to take Texas.

  • 14. eric  |  February 12th, 2008 at 2:06 pm

    Doug,
You’re right. All those Cubans in Texas love Che.

  • 15. Nietzsche-Is-Pietzsche  |  February 12th, 2008 at 2:11 pm

    Mark-

Wonder if Fox will show anyone of the dozens of people wearing a Confederate battle flag T-shirt or hat at a Republican rally? Talk about reinventing history…

  • 16. Mark Noonan  |  February 12th, 2008 at 2:31 pm

    NiP,

I’ve been to GOP rallies, haven’t seen any Confederate flags…I suppose there have been some out there from time to time…but just as soon as you find a GOP campaign headquarters with a rebel flag on the wall AND NO US FLAG then you’ll have a point…

  • 17. Doug  |  February 12th, 2008 at 2:32 pm

    Eric,

Look at it from the point of a democrat, color of the skin and whatever type of genitalia you have are more important in the voting booth. The exit polls show that, heck you had one democrat during the CA primary saying how Hispanics just won’t vote for a black man - I couldn’t understand what he was talking about, but if that’s the case, does it really matter to Obama how many Cubans are in Texas or just that there are hispanics there?

His office in Texas was bare except for a hastily put up little sign. They knew Fox was coming so they had to figure out the best way to decorate it, they chose Che, had to have for a reason, they knew it would be on Fox.

  • 18. Nietzsche-Is-Pietzsche  |  February 12th, 2008 at 2:38 pm

Awwwww Mark so you …blah, blah, blah deliberately twist what was said to make it appear worse

  • 19. Joel  |  February 12th, 2008 at 2:46 pm

Barak Osama Bama has already shown is disrespect of the American Flag. Maybe he would salute another countries flag.

  • 20. Concerned Citizen  |  February 12th, 2008 at 2:55 pm

    NiP,

You sir are an obtuse moron if you think that there is nothing wrong with a campaign staff flying a flag with the face of a brutally oppressive socialist icon on it.

I imagine that you would not find it inappropriate if a Republican campaign flew a nazi swastika or if volunteers for Clinton decided to sport the KKK banner at their next rally?

It is funny, you call us nazis, but it is the left who champions oppression and holds brutal murderers up as iconic figures. Ah, the hyporcacy of the liberal mind.

  • 21. Bigfoot  |  February 12th, 2008 at 2:57 pm

I wonder what these Obama supporters think of the death penalty, as they unabashedly display the picture of a man whose major accomplishment in life was executing people.

  • 22. Mark Noonan  |  February 12th, 2008 at 3:06 pm

    Bigfoot,

Its getting rather thin for the people who still carry the torch for Cuba’s revolution - once upon a time they could say that the revolution had ended the ruthless exploitation of Cuba’s national resources by foreign capitalists…except now Castro invites in the foriegn capitalists to do just that in order to provide Castro the hard currency he needs to pay his goon squads; that the revolution ended the ruthless sexual exploitation of Cuba’s young people by rich, fat, white capitalists…except now Castro de-facto encourages Cuba’s sex-slavery in order to lure more hard currency into the country; that Cuba has a high literacy rate…until we found out that Cuba’s literacy rate was quite high pre-Castro…

All they’ve got left? A romantic picture of Che and universal health care (and even that is being punctured by the fact that Cuba’s best medical facilities are reserved for the use of rich foreigners).

At CPAC, I saw an excellent illustration of Che’s famous portrait…made up of pictures of the people Che had murdered…and yet, there is goes, in 2008 with people backing a man to be President of the United States….they still believe the lies…but, who cares? Yes we CAN!…ignore facts and logic and back a man who has no business running for President of the United States…

  • 23. Baxter  |  February 12th, 2008 at 3:08 pm

    Brett,

As usual it is the liberals that run their mouths about having the facts to only find out they don’t know what they are talking about.

    Audio from news clip.

“Volunteers open TWO NEW OFFICES FOR THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN. Staffers for the campaign are expected to inhabit the offices by the end of the week.”
You’re the one that should do a “modicum” of research.

Spin all you want, this is an Obama campaign office
and these are the people that support him. They also
support a communist mass murderer. They can
take down the flag but the people that see Che as some sort of great symbol of leadership will also be
working for a Presidential candidate that
thinks wearing the American flag is foolish.

Only a liberal could try and spin a democratic campaign office showing support for a communist dictator by displaying a flag with him on it is not really a democratic campaign office displaying a flag
with a communist dictator on it.

    Dam* my lying eyes!!!

    Baxter,

The office is not paid for by the Obama Campaign. The office was leased by volunteers.
The Obama Campaign has zero control over offices it does not lease.

Unless you support a dictatorship, a campaign cannot dictate what goes on at a office that is not paid for by the campaign.

Just like if I support John McCain…he has ZERO right to come into my office and dictate what I post on the walls of my office.

Now if the office were leased by the McCain campaign, it would be a different story.

  • 27. Brett Michaels  |  February 12th, 2008 at 3:26 pm

Please note: I disagree with the flag. But those volunteers have that right to hang that flag on that office that they paid for with their own funds.

    Brett,

You can twist it anyway you like, the clip plainly
states that the office was set up as a campaign office
    for the Obama campaign.

” STAFFERS OF THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN WILL BE TAKING OVER THE OFFICES.”

These are representatives of the Obama campaign plain and simple.

Your attempt to separate Obama staffers and campaign volunteers wearing Obama buttons, stickers and placing Che flags up beside pictures of Obama from ….Obama…. is hilarious
    and ridiculous.

9/11 truthers that run around telling everybody that Bush blew up the Twin Towers are at democratic rallies, not Republican.

People that carry signs that state:

“We support our troops when they shoot their
    officers.”

    “Jesus is a fag.”

    “We support the insurgency.”

    “9/11 was an inside job.”

Are at democratic rallies and anti-war rallies.
The people that vote democratic at these rallies
and yell”we voted the democrats in to stop the war
    and impeach Bush.”
carry the Communist hammer/sickle flag and
set up book stands that promote marxism.

Your Presidential candidate in 04′ made un-substantiated claims of war crimes in front of
the Senate which led to major abuse of our Veterans
returning from war and helped our enemies with their propaganda campaigns while our Soldiers where on the field of battle.
He also has his picture up in their war museum shaking hands with their communist leader with a
statement under the picture praising him for helping
    win the war against America.

One of top democratic activist and movies maker
Micheal Moore has referred to Al-qaeda as “freedom
fighters” and stated “there is no terrorist threat.”
He is treated like a hero by democrats and was seated next to Carter at the Democratic convention.
Moore also just completed a film “Sicko” that states
his praise for communist leaders like Fidel and ensures that their people are treated better than America treats it’s people.

One of the biggest donors to the democratic party
is hollywood, who has many of it’s A lister’s going to
Hugo’s house referring to our president as Hitler and
praising a man who has shut down newspapers,tv stations and any other media that disagrees with him.He has used his government to take over oil, food, and banks pretty much turning it into a communist regime.
While Hugo and your hollywood friends go on and on about the “slaughter” in Iraq and how terrible President Bush is,the real slaughter is in Hugo’s house where more people are killed on a monthly basis than Iraq and Afghanistan(a war Zone) combined.

Code Pink who regularly calls our Soldiers “murderers” and “cold blooded killers”.Sent tens of thousands of dollars to “humanitarian” groups in
Fallujah (who also happend to be shooting and killing our Soldiers). And regularly try to shut down military
recruiting stations with protest, chaining themselves to the doors and throwing red paint, feces, and marking up the fronts of them with real intelligent
sayings like”killer” and “baby killer”.( that’s a great example of the liberal version of free speech right Brett.)
Their functions have been attended and endorsed by Democrats like Murtha and Howard Dean, proudly
holding hands and smiling while getting their pictures
    taken together.

Brett and the rest of his liberal friends can spin and
twist with” these people don’t represent the democratic party and we can’t be held responsible for a few crack pots.”But there is way to many people in the democratic crowd and in democratic leadership that accept the support and money for your claims to have any merit.

This is the base of the Democratic party, there are
very few FDR Democrats left. These people and groups are at Democratic rallies and functions not Republican ones. All the spin in the world
is not going to change the support and money Democrats take from these people.

OBAMAS “churches” mission statement (since coping it, it was miraculously altered)

    Trinity United Church of Christ
    About Us
We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian? Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain ?true to our native land,? the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.
Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:
    1. Commitment to God
    2. Commitment to the Black Community
    3. Commitment to the Black Family
    4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
    5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
    6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
    7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
    8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of ?Middleclassness?
    9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
    10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
    11. Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
    12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.

Here’s the Flag Obama should have flown….

  • 40. Jones  |  February 12th, 2008 at 7:21 pm

It’s not surprising that they would have a Che flag in their office. It just proves that so many of these “anti-war” liberals don’t mind war as long as it is one of their murderous thugs waging the war.

    Two other good examples are:
    - International ANSWER sells Che merchandise directly on their web site

    - Code Pink goes to Hugo Chavez rallies where key speakers include Che’s daughter. My favorite quote from them regarding Chavez was “The most beautiful part of the speech for us was when he talked about the US people rising up”.

How anti-war can these people really be if they idolize murderous, communist thugs and dictators?

  • 41. neocon  |  February 12th, 2008 at 7:41 pm

To the left, it doesn’t matter how many people you kill as long as it is in the name of anti-capitalism and anti-imperialism. Proving once again that the death of innocent people is not their main concern.

  • 42. Christian Wright  |  February 12th, 2008 at 9:41 pm

Che executed people in accordance to his lawful duties, no different from Bush when he was governor of TX. Che executed people who committed treason against the people of Cuba.

Bush just executed whoever fell into his net.
The link below are a list of the innocent people he killed. The list includes mentally handicapped and juveniles.

  • 43. keefer  |  February 13th, 2008 at 5:44 am

    CW–another Che supporter.

I sure hope Christian’s your first name, because you surely ain’t one…

  • 44. Jones  |  February 13th, 2008 at 7:27 am

    Christian,

Lawful duties!?! He conducted show trials and executed members of the former government as well as civilians. These people were not guilty of treason. Che and Fidel had these people executed in order to consolidate power in Cuba.

Prior to that, he was involved in the rebellion that eventually toppled the former government of Cuba. As a member of Fidel’s government, he was responsible for failed communist revolutions in Panama and the Dominican Republic. He even was quoted once saying that if Cuba controlled the Soviet nuclear missiles, he would have fired them against major US cities. Finally, he eventually left Cuba to start wars in Congo and Bolivia. Those wars had the obvious goal of bringing Marxism to these countries.

Based off your reply, it appear that you proved my point. You have no problem with a murderous thug as long as his goal is spreading socialism/communism.

Now, if a Republican had some picture of some low level Nazi flunkie, it would be top story for weeks as a direct reflection of the candidate. Or, if a bible was out in the open at a campaign office………

Liberals are such hypocrites and ignorant tools.

  • 47. js  |  February 13th, 2008 at 9:09 am

“Bush just executed whoever fell into his net.”

    I gotta laught at that.

Your link has a section that said was it really his fault?…and it doesnt do anything but cite legislation that may or may not have passed the TX Legislature.

Its nothing but a clueless grab bag full of could have, would have, and should have’s. The TX Justice System sentenced them to death, and the TX Legislature passed the laws. Bush may have followed them, and did what he felt had to be done, but there are are another 18 million people (+/-) in Texas that are just as guilty as Bush.

Does that mean anything, really? The death sentence exists in every State in the USA. 300 million of us now, and we are all just as guilty as Texas.

Blow it out your behind CW. Its not valid.

  • 48. eric  |  February 13th, 2008 at 9:14 am

“Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981″

Isnt it amazing how Blacks practice racism, yet are the first ones likely to cry about it?

    JS, and FmrMaring:
I will have to agree that there are blacks who are very prejudice, just as there are many whites, hispanics, orientials, etc. who are very prejudice, as well as religious factions.

However, aren’t those of us who dislike social programs such as welfare, AFDC, food stamp programs, Title 19 etc. to say nothing of the social ills in so many communities (gangs, drive by shootings, crime) we are usually the first to complain and ask why don’t the black communities make the necessary changes to change family life and values in their communities? As I look at the list of items on Barack Obama’s churches Black Values System, I do nothing racist about any of the items.

    The are:
    1. Commitment to God

What is your problem with this? I have made a commitment to God, and as most here profess to be Christians, they too have made a commintment to God.

    2. Commitment to the Black Community

For a member of a Black community, is this any different than you making a commitment to your community, where you children go to school, you work, your family worships, shops, socializes?

    3. Commitment to the Black Family

Have you not made a commitment to your family? I have and it is an important commitment to me.

    4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education

What is the problem with pursuing education? I know it was important to me to have an education, having achieved a post college degree. It was imparative to me that my sons have a college education so they could pursue the American dream. The more education a person has the better their chances are of contributing to society and not needing to depend on social programs.

    5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence

Again, what is your problem with this? Should each of us attempt to pursue excellence in all we do each day of our life?

    6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic

Isn’t this what we want from the Black community (and all members of society?) to develope a good work ethic and achieve as much as we are individually capable of doing.

    7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect

Problem with this?? This is what developes ethics and character in a person.

    8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of ?Middleclassness?

Is there something wrong with wanting to be more than middle class? I have always thought this to be a conservative goal - to sieze opportunities to do your best and achieve all that is possible.

    9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community

Don’t we all do our best to give our children the best opportunities possible - that is if we love our children and want them to live the best life possible? Why should this be discouraged in the Black community?

    10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions

That is what makes our institutions strong and viable for each of us and our children and grandchildren. I support those organizations I believe are beneficial to me, my children, grandchildren, community and own personal interests. It is called “freedom of speech”.

    11. Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System

Why shouldn’t Black members allign with those they respect, those who embrace the same values they value and respect? Do you believe that the Black community lacks intelligent leaders? Colon Powell, Condi Rice, Martin Luther King , Justice Thomas, even Oprah Winfery have achieved much in their lifetimes and are respected by both blacks and whites.

    12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.

Why souldn’t one commit themself to a value system that builds self esteme, respect and the drive to achieve something of value in their lives?

Your critizism is petty and ugly. If you can articulate why anything in this Values System is racist or bad, I would like to hear it. I only hope that more black communities across the nation adopt such a system. These communities are so in need of true leadership to change the direction of so many black children who are growing up without fathers in their lives, out of wedlock births that are accepted as the norm, with gang killings on a daily bases in so many cities, high school drop outs, and too many children growing up on the welfare system that they think it is the norm. Insted of looking at this as a bad thing, I believe it is one of the most positive things I have ever seen come out of a Black community, and where better to start such a movement than in the church?
