Hillary To Drop Out?

February 25th, 2008 at 07:18pm Matt Margolis

Flipping through the television channels a few moments ago, I happened to catch Chris Matthews suggest that Hillary may concede to Barack Obama before the primaries in Ohio and Texas…

I don’t see that happening. Hillary will take this fight until the end. Hillary feels entitled to not only the nomination, but the presidency… and as the release of the Obama photo earlier shows, Hillary is more likely to be on the verge of unloading a slew of attacks on Obama… and by no means about to bow out.

Who was complaining about attacks our of Karl Rove’s playbook (yeah right!). The co-presidents wrote the book on political attacks - just ask any of their victims.

Hillary will be like Mike Huckabee on SNL.

Democrats are starting to make fun of Clinton. It’s only a matter of time before she’s out.

No way will Hillary drop out, for the reasons you listed, Matt. However, I think it’s a looong-shot for her to win the nomination.

Update on Islam’s War Against The West:
Study: 3 in 4 U.S. Mosques Preach Hatred of America

2008 (WND): An undercover survey of more than 100 mosques and Islamic schools in America has exposed widespread radicalism, including the alarming finding that 3 in 4 Islamic centers are hotbeds of anti-Western extremism, WND has learned.

The Mapping Sharia in America Project, sponsored by the Washington-based Center for Security Policy, has trained former counterintelligence and counterterrorism agents from the FBI, CIA and U.S. military, who are skilled in Arabic and Urdu, to conduct undercover reconnaissance at some 2,300 mosques and Islamic centers and schools across the country.

“So far of 100 mapped, 75 should be on a watchlist,” an official familiar with the project said. [..] Preliminary findings indicate that almost 80 percent of the group exhibit a high level of sharia-compliance and jihadi threat, including:

    1) Ultra-orthodox worship in which women are separated from men in the prayer hall and must enter the mosque from a separate, usually back, entrance; and are required to wear hijabs.

    2) Sermons that preach women are inferior to men and can be beaten for disobedience; that non-Muslims, particularly Jews, are infidels and inferior to Muslims; that jihad or support of jihad is not only a Muslim’s duty but the noblest way, and suicide bombers and other so-called “martyrs” are worthy of the highest praise; and that an Islamic caliphate should one day encompass the U.S.

    3) Solicitation of financial support for jihad. 4) Bookstores that sell books, CDs and DVDs promoting jihad and glorifying martyrdom.

Hillary will not drop out. I think she is suprised at how much support Obama has received.

Both candidates have lost my vote in November.

Freedom, separation of men and women, is not so troubling, although not politically correct. But the 2nd and 3rd elements arequite serious. The fact that such a large percentage of mosques teach anti-western extremism is one of the reasons why we hear very little condemnation of muslim barbarism from so called “moderate muslims”.

Re: Hillary, she will have to be dragged kicking and screaming off the stage, unless Obama offers her a seat among the supremes. What a disaster that would be.

The purpose of a primary election is, I think, to have a situation in which the basic platform of a party is discussed by those who represent that party, so the party members can decide which of the hopefuls will best represent the party, and the platform, in the national election.

That seems to be what is going on between Clinton and Obama, and I think it is valuable to see two people discussing, not the platform (which is voted on in the national election) but which is most qualified to represent that platform, as well as to implement as much of it as possible if elected.

So the dialogue between the two is important. And I think Clinton is pointing out some of the very real defects in Obama’s qualifications to be president.

It is not often I agree with Hillary—never, on points of political philosophy. But she has made some very good points, realistic and objective observations, which have been dismissed out of hand by Obama supporters.

I have always seen the Democrats as being more emotional, and emotion-directed, than Republicans, or at least since I became a conservative—and that happened partly because of that observation. I made a conscious choice to be more analytical and less emotion-driven. But it is interesting to see that theory proven in an instance where I don’t have a dog in the hunt, where I can actually be completely objective.

I simply cannot see any reason for the support of Obama other than the passionate emotions he stirs in people through his oratory and rhetoric. “He has a vision for America” declaim his supporters—yeah, I’ve read it, and it is pie in the sky, the modern version of the Big Rock Candy Mountain.

And it is good for the party to have one of its own, one of its leaders over the past two decades, discuss this.

I think that those who claim to be Democrats first and Obama supporters second should take a look at what Hillary says. She is a strong voice for the party. No matter how much I disagree with what she stands for, she does stand for it, loud and clear, while Obama is clearly just appealing to whatever emotions he can stir up.

I haven’t had to choke on anything so much since I told my hair cutter that I wanted Hillary Clinton’s haircut, but I have to say that to anyone who is truly aware of and supportive of the platform of the Democrat Party, Hillary is the one who most clearly understands it and who can best support it, and who has the best chance of making any of it happen.

Despite what our leftist friends would have us believe, regardless of which one gets the nomination, they are bound to lose some of the supporters of the other leftist candidate, if the follwoing is any indication:

This evening on the news in Philly they are reporting the result of a political debate between two brothers-in-law, one an Obama supporter and one a Clinton Supporter. It appears that they discourse became rather animated ending on the Clinton supporter stabbing the Obama supporter.

Apparently they have forgotten Rodney King’s famous admonition.

  • 8. phnx  |  February 25th, 2008 at 11:53 pm

In an unrelated incident today also in Philly, a 16 year old yougster was shot dead by an irrate individual who was struck by an errant snowball. The assailant could not be found to ask his political affiliation, but witnesses implied that there is a 96% chance that he’s not a Republican, and an 80% chance he is an Obama supporter.

What’s up with all the violence inherrent in leftist supporters?

    Almiranta,

    Nice post.

It makes me wonder if we will ever see such a reasoned, well written and non-partisan post from our “friends” on the left that “contribute” to this site.

My money is on the negative

Haven’t you learned not to listen to Chris Matthews yet? He’s been down Obama’s pants for quite some time, he and his crew will do whatever is needed to get him the Presidency.

  • 11. Kahn  |  February 26th, 2008 at 12:15 am

Almiranta and GOP4ME, I’ve got to admit that reasoned discussion with the left is rare. I’m afraid I’ve fallen into the habit of poking fun at the outlandish claims I see posted here. It’s just to hard to argue against their nonsense repeatedly.

You know you are right…..hey I was wondering, do you happen to know how’s John McCain’s illegitimate black baby doing these days?

    Phnx,

You’re right, and I agree with you on most of your post. The Saudi Wahabbi influence in American mosques is really dangerous. Saudi-trained imams are preaching Wahabbism to whole generations of “American” Muslims…

WND: Many of the Islamic centers are operating under the auspices of the Saudi Arabian government and U.S. front groups for the radical Muslim Brotherhood based in Egypt.

Frank Gaffney, a former Pentagon official who runs the Center for Security Policy, says the results of the survey have not yet been published. But he confirmed that “the vast majority” are inciting insurrection and jihad through sermons by Saudi-trained imams and anti-Western literature, videos and textbooks.

But, I take issue with the separation of women and men because of Islam’s reasoning behind such separation. It’s gender apartheid plain and simple because Islam views women as “inferior to men”, “deficient in intellligence” and “deficient in religion” as compared to men. Islam also teaches that prayers are annulled by women, donkeys or dogs passing in front,

    * Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: A woman, an ass and a dog disrupt the prayer, but something like the back of a saddle guards against that. (Sahih Muslim, Number 1034)

*Narrated ‘Aisha: The things which annul the prayers were mentioned before me. They said, “Prayer is annulled by a dog, a donkey and a woman (if they pass in front of the praying people).” I said, “You have made us (i.e. women) dogs. I saw the Prophet praying while I used to lie in my bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I would slip away, for I disliked to face him.” (Sahih Bukhari 1.490)

…I think that’s why women are forced to enter the mosque from the rear-so as not to annul the prayers of male Muslims. Islam’s disrespect for women is just sickening.

“What’s up with all the violence inherrent in leftist supporters?” - Phnx

Good question! I heard about the stabbing, but I hadn’t heard about the snowball incident. Didn’t leftists also vandalize Republican campaign offices and vehicles during the 2004 presidential election? It seems like more and more in American and other Western European nations, leftists/socialists are turning to violence when their political will gets thwarted. Ominous trend.

Hillary is going to win the nomination. The Clintons have never lost an election, and they aren’t about to loose one to Barack Hussain Obama.

  • 16. Michael  |  February 26th, 2008 at 12:52 pm

A few months ago, I would not have given much credence to anyone stopping the coronation of the Hildebeast. But Obama has done it and it looked easy. The Clinton camp did the same thing over and over - personal attacks on Obama while he preached hope and change. Of course he cannot and will not deliver those changes, but the contrast put him in the driver’s seat. The only sensible thing is for Ms. Clinton to given in and join the effort to defeat McCain, but she will not quit until they lead her from the spotlight babbling nonsensically, “I know you are but what am I?” Wonder if Billy Jeff was responsible for this crushing defeat? Losers all.

  • 17. NeoClown  |  February 26th, 2008 at 8:13 pm

    Hillary as an Independent?
Now I’m hearing about a lot about McCain, Clinton, Obama, and Nader in November. Very interesting.

    Wow, you are weird.

  • 19. brett michaels  |  February 26th, 2008 at 10:57 pm

I just saw on the news…An Air Force Sgt. killed his two kids and then killed himself.
He wasnt alive to state his political affiliation, but witnessed implied there was an 88% chance he was a Republican and a 98% chance he was a McCain supporter.

I would say the above statement is pretty asinine..

  • 20. brett michaels  |  February 26th, 2008 at 11:05 pm

I’ve been watching on the news..

    Foley..Gay boy lover.
Glenn Murphy chairman of the Young Republicans National Federation..gay incident at party..
    Larry “Wide stance” Craig…bathroom gay…
State Rep. Bob Allen..another bathroom gay…

It seems like more and more conservative Republicans are turning to homosexuality… Ominous trend.

    Again another asinine statement.

People on here like to hold themselves up on a pedestal…when in fact..you are not much different than the extremists on the left.

The odd thing about this…Saudi Arabia is our ally in the WOT are they not?

Perhaps Saudi Arabia has been playing us for fools?

They graciously take our money and train clerics to come to this country to preach hatred of this great country….all the while our government sits by.

When you look at it the House of Saud is brilliant. We are literally financing terrorists to kill us….

  • 22. Freedom1  |  February 27th, 2008 at 12:36 am

    21. brett michaels

You’re just figuring all that out now? over 6 years since 9/11?! Damn, you’re slow.

  • 23. brett michaels  |  February 27th, 2008 at 1:43 am

No, I am not just figuring that out.

My statement was rhetorical at best.
The implication is that our government has sat idly by and stated over and over that Saudi Arabia is a staunch ally in the WOT (President Bush’s words, not mine)
and yet some how President Bush has made this country safer by invading Iraq…while at the same time allowing Saudi trained imams come over here and preach hatred.

Why does our government grant visas to these imams?
Are the Democrats secretly granting them special waivers?
    Should we invade Saudi Arabia?

Sorry if you were offended, but those statistics are the reality in Philadelphia.
