  your reaction to this is very strange mark. All the author is stating is that racism is still a problem in America. Surely not even you are insane enough to deny this? Obviously tons of progress have been made but to argue that racism doesn’t exist in America is , well, just insane.

  That is a breath-taking statement Mark. You truly do show your racism with that remark. When NYC was attacked on September 11, 2001, the entire nation came together to help clean up the damage and get the city back to normal as possible. However, when Hurricane Katrina hit, despite the promises from President George Bush (standing in the dark in NO with the light shinning on him) that our nation would rebuild the City of New Orleans. Unfortunately for those folks, the damage was much greater than that in New York City. Also, those hit the hardest were very poor for the most part. So they were sent to various cities across the nation, and those who have stayed were put in government-issue trailers that are toxic. Does that seem ok to you? I guess it is their own fault for not having the wealth to provide shelter for themselves. But the honest truth is that there are very poor citizens in this country. You do not have a problem sending 12 BILLION dollars to Iraq every month but you have a terrible problem helping a US city recover from a devastating natural disaster. And you are the one who brought up the fact that this is a city that is mostly black, lead by a black mayor. I will give you this - he did a crummy job of handling that disastrous event, but that does not dissolve our responsibility as a nation of helping this city and its citizens rebuild. You are just full of compassion. There is not a doubt in my mind that if this had happened in a city such as Denver or Dallas or Kansas City the government would have been there in full force to assist in the rebuilding just as it did in New York City.

  SURE it does…… just ask JE$$E, AL, LOUIE and all the race hustlers.
  The real issues for blacks is
  1. ILLEGAL drugs.
  2.ILLEGITIMATE ( un married) birth rates Close to 72%
  3.High murder rates.
