Count Every Vote? Obama’s Sermon on the Mount

Hillary is a Monster?

March 7th, 2008 at 12:55am Mark Noonan

So says a member of Team Obama:

HILLARY Clinton has been branded a “monster” by one of Barack Obama’s top advisers, as the gloves come off in the race to win the Democrat nomination.

In an unguarded moment during an interview with The Scotsman, Samantha Power, his key foreign policy aide, let slip the camp’s true feelings about the former First Lady.

Her comments came as Mr Obama, whose defeats in Texas and Ohio on Tuesday were largely put down to a series of negative attacks on him, vowed to turn up the heat on Mrs Clinton over her claims to be the more experienced candidate.

The fragile truce was blown apart as the pressure for the nomination intensified, with Mrs Clinton winning in Texas and Ohio.

Ms Power told The Scotsman Mrs Clinton was stopping at nothing to try to seize the lead from Mr Obama.

“We f***** up in Ohio,” she admitted. “In Ohio, they are obsessed and Hillary is going to town on it, because she knows Ohio’s the only place they can win.

“She is a monster, too – that is off the record – she is stooping to anything,” Ms Power said, hastily trying to withdraw her remark.

The heat of the campaign, certainly - but the longer the goes on, the harder it will be to patch things up for the fall.

I think it is priceless to hear certain demoncrats speak of the Clintons in the same manner, and for the same reasons, as the GOP has for years.

They are monsters and it is amusing to hear the ‘Rats finally speak the truth. It’s just too bad they will only admit it amongst their own.

It is kind of like Canadians and their healthcare. They will sit and bitch about what a horrible system it is (and rightly so) unless of course an American is within earshot and then their story changes 180 degrees.

    Hillary is a “Monster”.

LoL! Thermonuclear democratic infighting. This is fun to watch! :)

    Here’s a shot for Barack Hussein Obama…

    Obama’s Grandmother Lied

(Via Lgf): “Yesterday’s edition of USA Today had a story about Barack Obama’s grandmother in Kenya, in which she slams the Clinton campaign for circulating photos of Obama in Muslim garb—and then states that she is a Christian: Obama’s grandma slams ‘untruths’:

Obama’s grandfather had converted to Islam from Roman Catholicism and taken the name Hussein, Sarah Obama said, but his children had inherited only the name, not the religion. Each person should be able to choose how they worshipped, she said.

“In the world of today, children have different religions from their parents,” she said. She, too, is a Christian.

Lgf, “Just one little problem with this statement. In April of last year, Sarah Hussein Obama told the New York Times she is a DEVOUT MUSLIM:

Sarah Hussein Obama, who is his stepgrandmother but whom Mr. Obama calls his grandmother, still rises at 5 a.m. to pray before tending to her crops and the three orphans she has taken in.

“I am a strong believer of the Islamic faith,” Ms. Obama, 85, said in a recent interview in Kenya.

Muslims are allowed to lie to non-Muslims for the benefit of Islam. Since Muslims are allowed to lie, why should we believe anything they say?

    GOP,

At the end of the day, if Democrats lose in 2008, the only thing they’ll have to blame is themselves - they had a chance to rid themselves of the Clintons in 1998 when Bill was caught lying under oath…given a choice between upholding the law and defending a Democrat, they choose defending a Democrat…and now they’ve got one they probably wish they could get rid of.

    Mark…Mark…Blame themselves?

No, it’s always some evil GOP/VRWC like suppression of black voters in Dem-controlled districts, Diebold voting machines in districts that use other brands, and deliberately confusing butterfly ballots designed by democrats.

Again there is not much that separates Senator Obama and Senator Clinton. Whoever gets the nomination, will be supported. They both have the heart and desire to rid this country of President Bush’s incompetent and neocon infested administration and prevent four more years of it under the new name McCain.

Republicans should be worried as to what happens at the Republican convention when McCain’s’ liberal moderates, from the days of Nelson Rockefeller, who now control the party, start to make some subtle changes to the Party Platform or ignore the platforms already written. It will be all smiles for the cameras, but the backrooms will be filthy.

Just today it is reported as Americans lose their homes to predatory lending, Democratic Congressional investigations reveal three chief executives with ties to this mortgage crisis were paid $460 million over five years. How is this possible when their companies are looking for government bailouts? Just a guess but most of these earnings were probably kept offshore so heaven forbid they pay taxes to help pay for roads and bridges that carry their butts everyday. This is what this election is about. If you think the electorate that gives President Bush a generous 32% approval wants these same failed conservative policies repeated by McCain, you go with that thought.

janie strikes again. That is to say, swings (wildly) and misses.

“neocon infested”? My oh my, janie, do you EVER have the slightest idea of what you are talking about?

What is a “neocon”, janie? Do you have the slightest idea, or is it just another of those buzzwords you have been told are horrible insults, and therefore invaluable to your nasty rhetoric?

    “Neo” = “new”
    “Con”–short for “conservative”

You do realize that the word was coined to describe people like me, people who saw the light when they were liberals and moved to the conservative side of the aisle, don’t you? It’s been used in a lot of different ways since, then, so many that it is basically meaningless—-so meaningless that when a rabid Lib like yourself uses it, it is just proof that your real intent is to try to throw out slurs, even ignorant of what they might really mean.

You’d pitch a major hissy fit if one of us commented on the “Liberal infestation of the Democrat Party”. Yep, that Dem Party is absolutely INFESTED with Libs.

But you don’t stop there. You manage to drag in the offshore banking thing—really being pushed by Lefty minders these days—and more Big Business crap, and of course the Popularity Meme. It’s just a hatefest of one radical Lib mantra after another.

You seem to be gleeful about the prospect of “back rooms” at the GOP convention being “filthy”. No surprise—nothing thrills you like filth. But look to your own, little lady. The long knives are being sharpened on the Left, and what fascinates us is the willingness, the eagerness, to use them on your beloved Hillary, now that there is a new kid on the block.

And look how you are steadfastly ignoring the actual thread, the actual post about Barack’s mother lying, misrepresenting her religion. Hmmmm. Wonder why she would do that. Think it might have something to do with being willing to say whatever she has to say to get Sonny in the White House? Do ya think?

But don’t acknowlege that—go for the “no one LIKES Bush” whimper you love so much—though it does open the door to the simple fact that “no one” likes Pelosi, even more. Ouch.

At the end of the day, if Democrats lose in 2008, it’ll be because between now and November:

    a. ten brigades will have been taken out of Iraq.

    b. home foreclosure rates have dropped to 0.5%

    c. home mortgage delinquency rates have dropped 0.7%.

    d. a gallon of gas has dropped to $1.63

    e. unemployment rate is down to 2.9% nationwide

    f. Osama bin Laden has been blown apart by a JDAM.

    g. a barrel of oil is $39.03

    h. the dollar is up 17% against the Euro

    i. The DOW is above 14,790.

    j. Home prices are up nationwide at 6%.

In other words, not a chance in hell.

Hillary is a monster. I believe there is nothing worse that could happen in this election then to let the Clintons any where near the executive branch. Democrats would essentially be shooting them selves in the foot should they nominate HC.

The comment by the advisor that called Hillary a monster (although technically true) should not have been made to the media. She tried after the fact to retract it, but of course could not. Then the Obama camp had to issue an apology to Hillary, making his camp look like petty name-callers. Finally, Obama had to fire the aid who up til now had been an asset in his campaign. All of this hurt Obama and shows that Hillary has dragged him off message and into the gutter where she likes to play. He seems confused about how to get back on message - the message that had him riding on the crest of a tidal wave of victory. He has shown no skill at bouncing back. Some say he has a glass jaw. Hillary is having her way with him. And it ain’t pretty.
