Rep. Steve King’s Remarks on Obama Dear Oil Speculators

The Victory Chairwoman Speaks

March 11th, 2008 at 11:14am Mark Noonan

Carly Fiorina is in charge of advocacy for the McCain campaign and the RNC:

HUMAN EVENTS had the chance to talk to her about the campaign and what government should and should not do to make America’s economic future brighter.

What attracted you to McCain’s campaign?

Fiorina recounts that she first met him in 2000 when testifying on the subject of internet taxation and the dangers of taxing a promising new technology. She recalls that, “He got it immediately.” Fiorina explains that McCain has been a supporter of permanently banning internet taxes and phone taxes and understands that “tax policy can either encourage or kill innovation.” She continues, “I was reintroduced to him eighteen months ago after reading his book Faith of Our Fathers. I concluded he was a man of tremendous character, real authenticity and right on the major issues of our time.”

Ms. Fiorina is most famed for her successful stewardship of Hewlett-Packard and I have heard her touted as a possible Veep. Regardless of that, McCain has picked a clear minded person to enunciate just what is good about John McCain and the Republican Party as we move into the fall campaign. One of the major things in a successful campaign is message discipline - the ability to keep the discussion on the issues which matter and to get out our side’s views in a manner comprehensible to the American people. I think we’ve got the right person for that job.

“Ms. Fiorina is most famed for her successful stewardship of Hewlett-Packard and I have heard her touted as a possible Veep.”

Apparently another case of neoclown revisionist history. Seems like she was FORCED out of her position by the board of HP:

I have to agree with Bozo on this one. I work for one of HP’s competitors. We were sad to see Carly get forced out. The new CEO, Mark Hurd, has turned HP around and corrected many of Carly’s mistakes. I hope she is a bit more successful on this job.

I also heard she was forced out of HP.
