A brilliant video by John Kerry’s opponent for the United States Senate.

I didn’t know that their was such a thing as Senate hair care…

A brilliant move by Mark Noonan to kick the legs out from under the top story on Blogs for Victory about Eliot Spitzer to make way for this story about a guy who has ZERO chance of unseating John Kerry.

    Martin,

Huh? Spitzer is yesterday’s news…can’t keep talking about him forever…

  • 3. winnowhead  |  March 13th, 2008 at 12:16 am

I don’t get it. The reason to vote Kerry out is that the Senate offices have a post office and an elevator?

WTF. You’ve got to be kidding me - Ogonowski’s campaign actually paid someone to produce this ad?

  • 4. Mark Noonan  |  March 13th, 2008 at 12:22 am

    Winnow,

Don’t insult us like that - you know full well what the intent of the ad is. If you’re just coming here to clutter the blog, then take a break from Blogs for Victory until you’re ready to re-engage.

Seriously, the ad makes no sense. I’m concerned about influence peddling, not that the most powerful people in the country have access to a gym.

    Winnow,

Oh, puhleeese! Your feigned ignorance is annoying. I know you’d prefer a thread about a subject you’d prefer to talk about, but don’t clutter this one up because you’re peeved…

    I love that ad! :)

This future Senator seems like a really down-to-Earth, personable guy. I like him. :)

Btw, Harvard Report: Iraqi Insurgents ARE Emboldened by Antiwar Reporting

Are insurgents in Iraq emboldened by voices in the news media expressing dissent or calling for troop withdrawals from Iraq? The short answer, according to a pair of Harvard economists, is yes.

Sorry, Mark, I’m not “feigning” anything. I think its a stupid ad. The amenities at the capitol are just a crappy analogy of insiderism or anything else… talk about the $200 dinner he enjoyed on a lobbyist’s dime, or a paid trip to Tahiti for an economic development talk, etc, etc… then mention how he’s “out of touch.”

This ad isn’t clever, it’s stupid. You obviously disagree, although I hardly see why. You’d be saying the same thing if it was a Dem challenger for a GOP seat.

    Winnow,

No, you’re just cluttering - don’t like the post, so want to waste time in it. Thanks, but you can take that elsewhere.

    How’s about this video…

(Video) Senator John Kerry confronted about Winter Soldier II

    Devastating.

Didn’t Ogonowski run for the House and lose in 2006? I’d like to see Kerry leave town, too, but I don’t think Ogonowski has much of a chance. He’s a red candidate in a very blue state.

  • 12. Joe  |  March 13th, 2008 at 8:10 am

I predict Kerry wins about 70-30.

Mark, I really didn’t think it was such a great ad. It had its quirks, but brilliant? It looked like something you’d see on a local community tv network.

At the end of the ad, instead of “I am Jim Ogonowski and I approved this ad” he should have said “I am Jim Ogonowski and I want these perks”.

    He doesn’t stand a chance.

Brilliant? I thought is was kind of weak. It’s a shame but Ognowski doesn’t stand a chance.
