McCain Democrats…

…may very well deliver a decisive victory for John McCain in November:
A new analysis of March polling data suggests that John McCain’s cross-party support surpasses that of either Barack Obama or Hillary Rodham Clinton.
According to data provided by the Gallup Organization at Politico’s request, in a hypothetical contest between McCain and Obama, McCain wins 17 percent of Democrats and those leaning Democratic, while Obama wins 10 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaners.
In a potential contest with Clinton, McCain wins 14 percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaners while Clinton wins 8 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaners.
By way of comparison, exit polls in 2004 reported that George W. Bush won 11 percent of Democrats and John F. Kerry won 6 percent of Republicans.
Yet, many on the left think they’re heading to a landslide Democrat victory in November. I wouldn’t bet on it. Everyday this race seems to look better and better for John McCain.

Senator John “Flip-Flopper” McCain? Funny how allegedly changing your views radically for political expedience was a terrible, terrible thing just four years ago.

And now for something completely different.
A federal appellate court today ordered former Gov. Don Siegelman released from prison while he appeals his 2006 conviction, saying there are “substantial questions” about his case.
Siegelman attorney Vince Kilborn said Siegelman would be released sometime Friday morning. “His wife and his daughter, Dana, are driving out to get him,” Kilborn said. The judges wrote that Siegelman met both requirements for an appeal bond: He is not a flight risk and his appeal raises a substantial question of law or fact likely to result in reversal or an order for a new trial.
“After thorough review of this complex and protracted record, we conclude Siegelman has satisfied the criteria set out in the statute, and has specifically met his burden of showing that his appeal raises substantial questions of law or fact,” the judges wrote.
No wonder the hard drives of the White House e-mails destroyed. No doubt they would prove this case had no basis in fact and was just a political prosecution

All of the nasty fighting between the Obama and Clinton camps are begining to make many moderate dems realize that their campaign promises to “unite the country” are just so much hot air. Instead of uniting the country they are tearing their own party to pieces.
Hard core leftists like the tin foil hat brigade that suffer from terminal BDS will continue to believe in the inevitability of a democrat landslide which will bring the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, and the socialist paradise they dream about.
I hope that Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine is prepared for all the leftist wackos that will be seeking therapy in November.

That is now….it is only a matter of time before the liberal smear machine will “swift boat” McCain.

swift boating? How did that term come around anyway? Kerry swiftboated = truth. McCain swiftboated = liberal lies.
Shia or Sunni?

The topic, McCain attracting Democrats and “leaners”, could bear some examination. Why are the numbers what they are? I have my suspicions, but haven’t seen anything documented as to the reason(s). I am guessing that part of it is the disgust with the infighting in the Democrat party. Another reason may be that those few Democrats who might switch are the ones that are really concerned about national security. And finally, McCain has demonstrated more than once his willingness to reach across the aisle and work with Democrats to get things done for this country that need to get done. The Republicans going the other way are likely those who are in the Rush Limbaugh camp that says McCain is just not conservative enough for them. But add to these numbers the 20 percent or so of both Obama and Clinton backers who have already said they will either vote for McCain or stay home if their candidate is not the nominee and it does look bad for the Dems. After there is one Dem nominee, no one knows what will happen to the numbers. If Obama loses, the blacks will abandon the Democrats in large numbers. They will either stay home or vote for McCain. I do not know what is likely if Obama wins. He claims to be the great uniter, but Hillary’s backers probably won’t have any of that. In any case, a positive scenario for the Dems is looking less and less likely. Meanwhile, some lefties keep up the drumbeat of how they’re really gonna stomp the evil Republicans. We shall see, we shall see.

To illustrate just how little control Dean has over the DNC anymore, notice all he can do is hope the fighting ends by July 1. Meanwhile, as the article points out, McCain has already put out his first commercial for the November election. They are falling farther and farther behind.

InDava,
Kerry’s “swiftboating” came from fellow “Swiftboaters”. Now, before you libs get your panties in a bunch, these fellows were not on Kerry’s boat. But it is strange that ONLY ONE crew member came to Kerry’s defense, and that was questionable.
McCain’s “swiftboating” will come from the liberal campaign smear machine, unless former POWs that served time with McCain come forward.
Big difference……
InDava, you cannot be that naive.

Yes, Senator McCain continues to violate Chapter 96 of Title 26 of the U. S. Code, PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY MATCHING PAYMENT ACCOUNT as outlined in at least two pending complaints with the Federal Election Commission. With any luck the Commission, whose chairman has already notified the McCain campaign that they are in violation of the agreement he entered into with the FEC, will petition the U.S. District Court for injunctive relief to prevent further violations of federal law.
Senator John “Flip-Flopper” McCain, he was for campaign finance reform before he was against it.

Who paid for the swiftboating campaign against Kerry?Do a little research..it was more than one who came to Kerry’s defense. Ahhh, and you say they weren’t on his boat but you take their accounts as fact. You are that naive….

InDaVa,
Handy guide for you:
If it’s directed against a Democrat, it’s always legitimate criticism, no matter how scurrilous the source. If it’s directed against a Republican, no matter how legitimate the source, it’s the politics of personal destruction.
Hope that clears things up.

All one has to look at is Kerry’s previous lies - not flip flops - but outright lies. Cambodia at Christmas ring a bell? However, we digress from the topic of the thread … I know, we all do it.
It would be interesting to know why they are crossing over: Obama/Wright issue, infighting among the two Dem candidates, don’t like either candidate, prefer McCain, etc.
DP: So, you’re stating McCain worked with the other side on certain issues because he wanted Dem votes in 2008? And here I thought it was because he wanted to get something done. Silly me.

InDava, another USEFUL IDIOT of the libs…..
The swift boat veterans were members of the same unit as Kerry. Swift boats do not go out on patrol alone. These were individuals while serving on another boat witnessed Kerry’s actions in the field.
But of course all you are worried about is who financed the ads and not the content - you dimwits use the same argument with global warming.
Typical.
