Getting Uglier Across The Aisle
April 4th, 2008 at 06:11pm Matt Margolis
Hillary reportedly said to Bill Richardson that Barack Obama “cannot win,” but has since given a rather unconvincing denial that she ever made such a comment. Honestly, I don’t see why a denial is even necessary. Well, okay, that’s not entirely true. If Obama does get the nomination it wouldn’t look good at all if Hillary had made the comment. But let’s face it, the longer she and Obama campaign against each other, they both move further and further away from being electable.
And it’s not just the Democratic Party that is divided over the Hillary/Obama race… The liberal blogs are getting even more nasty than they usually are if you thought such a thing was possible.
Things aren’t looking any better for our friends on the left… The party is looking to Howard Dean to bring end to the primary stalemate.
I’m loving it. Hillary has repeatedly declared her intention to stick to it until the bitter end, and since this race is ultimately going to be decided by the so-called super-delegates, it’s going to get even nastier at the convention. I didn’t watch the Democratic National Convention back in 2004, but I think this year it will be worth tuning into. Hillary is now saying she’ll try convert Obama’s delegates.
Sit back and enjoy the chaos. They’re going to destroy each other.

She basically said yesterday that pledged delegates don’t have to vote for who they are pledged for. I have a question for all you libs, after defending this woman and her husband for so many years, can you see that maybe some of the criticism was well placed?

We will have a repeat of the ‘68 convention and 2000 election.
RIOTS in ‘68!!! And attempts at “stealing the election” just like Gore tried to do in 2000.
Now maybe people will learn that we do not decide who is President. There is no guarantee of the right to vote in a Presidential election.
Hint: Reading the Constitution is just so informative. It is a shame that libs generally do not do this. They just repeat the BS that their lib masters spoon feed them about it.

It looks to me like Howard Deans answer is to simply ignore the democratic voters entirely.
I cant say Im against the idea, in fact, Im willing to try it for the rest of the election process too.

Plantation Owner, after reading your post multiple times, I’ve concluded that you write with “tongue firmly in cheek.”
Really, Gore trying to steal in 2000. Like that was gonna happen with Katherine “Cruella” Harris watching over the count and guaranteeing victory for the anointed and preordained.
Bravo, you had me going there for a minute.

The irony explosion caused by suggesting that there was conspiracy involved in the 2000 election, in a post that mentions the fact that Howard Dean is trying to resolve the current democratic candidate stalemate by forcing the super delegates to choose a candidate before the democratic primary, must have been deafening.
Please have your ears checked Marty.

Plantation, don’t forget about the networks attempting to disenfranchise tens of thousands of Republican voters by calling the state for Gore before the Panhandle polls closed. Remember that? thousands of Republican voters just left and went home even though they had an hour more to vote.
Don’t you get a kick out intellectually challenged libs like Marty. I bet he doesn’t even know that if Katherine Harris did not certify the votes she would have been charged with a felony and spent up to 2 years in prison. Or how about the Florida supreme court trying to subvert the will of the people? Or Gore trying to disenfranchise our military? Man oh man, did the democrats do everything they could illegally to steal that election!

Look how many posts are on this thread from liberals. They must KNOW the dems are in trouble.
I’m loving it too, Matt!

Matt,
If our candidate was as lackluster as John McCain is I would enjoy watching the other party too.
It bet it really must suck to be a republican - and I’m not taking a jab at Larry Craig.

Thank you, Capitalist Infidel, for your comment on Katherine Harris—I was rushing to the end so I could make the same comment. The Libs are so deeply invested in their pathetic victimhood that they just ignore silly little things like the law. They are so ignorant they still think the Supreme Court “gave” the election to Bush instead of merely pointing out that according to the Constitution all votes must be treated equally.
Clownie does yearn for a formally established Thought Police, doesn’t he? He is sooooo obsessed with what he thinks Larry Craig might have been thinking, and then trying to twist it into something that is truly depraved when a conservative thinks of it and only special and perfectly fine when a Liberal actually DOES it, that he completely misses the point that so far it is not illegal to THINK about anything.
Clownie is always an interesting peek into the Pretzel Land of the truly rabid Liberal.
But back to your comments, C.I.—do you by any chance remember the letter to the NYT from one of the big names in Gore’s campaign, right after 9/11? I put it into an archive on an old computer that died soon after, and can’t find it online now—I refused to pay to get NYT online.
Anyway, this was one of the lawyers who actually filed most of the lawsuits in Florida, and he was talking about knowing every single person in the pool from which Gore would have chosen his cabinet and other advisors, and how this government simply would not have been able to handle the aftermath of 9/11—it was about how glad he was that Bush won the election.
That was pretty interesting, but what I also found of interest was his comment that they (the Gore team) did not really believe Gore had won Florida, but they were so convinced that Gore would be a better president that they felt justified in making their claims and filing their suits.

God’s hand saved us form Gore, the imbicile.
As Far as the Democrats, well, the convention should be where this is all decided anyway, votes really should not be a decider, this is a republic, not a democracy for a very good reason. To firewall the masses from the process to prevent what’s starting to happen, people voting for whoever promises to give them other people’s money

“God’s hand saved us form Gore, the imbicile.”
God’s hand clearly didn’t hit the spell check button.
Viper thanks for the best laugh I’ve had all day.

If your best argument in a debate is a spelling correction … congratulations, you’ve lost the argument.

The Dems created this mess all by themselves. Their so-called ‘reforms’ enabled a small group of party regulars to decide the nominee.
Of course, it wan’t supposed to happen this way. Clinton was the annointed one. Gore, Kerry, Dean, and Edwards were NOT going to be given another chance.
But the media picked a new darling…one who was an empty suit and with a paper-thin resume, whom they could project all the ‘virtues’ liberals wanted, with supposedly no ’skeletons’ to contend with.
Obama was the ‘anti-Hillary’ . The media was tired of Clinton and was not as enamored of her as they were with Bubba. Obama fit their stereotype of the ‘perfect’ candidate; invunerable to criticism and with a guaranteed lock on minority voters. So the MSM looked the other way regarding any negative aspects of his career, just like they did with Bubba; and they either downplayed these when they came up, or would try to offset these stories with Obama supporters spinning their best.
Look for more anti-Hillary stories to be presented over the next few weeks. Hillary is now seen as an obstacle to Obama’s coronation as Dem nominee. So you will see more reports of Dem party members increasing the pressure on her to quit.
The longer she stays in the more Obama has to fight her, and the more chances of him making more and more mistakes, and more details about who he really is and what he really believes will come out.

Clinton was the annointed one.
Clinton is the annointed one.
Clinton will be the annointed one.
Barack Obama is “unelectable” in the general election and the “powers that be” have no intention of selecting him in Denver.
The Clinton’s have Denver all wrapped up, and still have the measurements for the drapes in the White House.

If you’re tired of waiting around for those super delegates to make a decision already, go to LobbyDelegates.com and push them to support Clinton or Obama
If you haven’t done so yet, please write a message to each of your state’s superdelegates at http://www.lobbydelegates.com
It takes a moment, but what’s a few minutes now worth to get Obama in office?!
Sending a note to current Obama supporters lets them know it’s appreciated, sending a note to current Clinton supporters can hopefully sway
them to change their vote to Obama, and sending a note to the uncommitted folks will hopefully sway them to vote for Obama. It’s that easy…
Clinton Supporters:
YOU can certainly make Clinton win the nomination

we’ll make it REALLY easy and include a list of names, addresses, and affiliations of superdelegates from each state including your state.
