Death During a “Safe” Abortion
April 12th, 2008 at 09:16am Mark Noonan
What amazes me is that they were able to get any information at all - in the US, the pro-abortion fanatics have managed to hide pretty much all information on the baleful effects of abortion:
The president of the National Pro-life Committee in Mexico, Jorge Serrano Limon, said he has confirmed that eight women have died from botched legal abortions in Mexico City since the practice was legalized last year. City officials, on the other hand, have said only one woman has died from abortion related complications.
Speaking to Notimex, Serrano Limon said, “We have the information, the dates and the names of the hospitals where they died. Authorities have only acknowledged the death of an underage girl at the Balbuena Hospital,” he stated.
The Pro-Life Committee and three other civil organizations have requested permission to participate in the public hearings on the legalization of abortion.
“We hope the justices will act in accord with the Constitution. We call on them not to issue rulings that are ideological or partisan in any way and to realize that life is the most important right,” Serrano Limon continued.
Since abortion was legalized in Mexico City during April 2007, 6,400 children have been aborted. According to the Pro-Life Committee, some 22 women have suffered severe injury.
Unlike the rest of the medical community in the United States, abortion is nearly un-regulated - not because the regulations don’t apply, but because cowardly regulators are afraid to take on the abortion mills, and the money pro-abort groups can spend on elections. In Mexico, the Culture of Death has yet to become entrenched as it is here in the United States, so some bits and pieces of the truth of abortion are able to leak out - I’ll bet just about anything that a comprehensive survey of abortion in America would reveal a great deal of problems. It would be natural to find such - the people who perform abortions are on the lower end of the medical skills list (good doctors and nurses heal people, not butcher unborn children); the people who run abortion mills are likely motivated primarily by money, and thus are likely to be cutting corners; lack of regulatory oversight has probably allowed all manner of unsafe practices to continue unchecked.
For now, we can only pray that the truth about abortion will cause Mexico’s politicians to rethink their legalisation of abortion - and, also, that the full truth about abortion will become public knowledge in the United States, so we can go about banning the horrific, anti-human practice.

‘that the full truth about abortion will become public knowledge in the United States’
Babes are needed for McBush’s 100 years of war.

Abortion and gay marriage aren’t firing-up the base like they used to.
If you want to get conservative Christian voters out this November you’re going to need a new hook. You’re going to need something fresh, something exciting, something so outrageous it can’t be ignored.
During the 2000 election you used Monica Lewinski, abortion and gay marriage.
For 2002 you used terrorism, abortion and gay marriage.
In 2004 it was more terrorism, abortion, and gay marriage.
In 2006 it was once again terrorism, and abortion. You planned to use gay marriage, but Republican Congressman Mark Foley was busted for doing his young male congressional pages so you had to drop the whole gay thing.
The only way terrorism, abortion or gay marriage is going to fire-up anybody this year is if you can come up with photos of a gay Islamic terrorist and his life partner performing an abortion on a Christian woman.

You are seriously saying that the medical system in Mexico is as good as the one in the United States?
I thought you had more faith in America than that…

What’s even MORE appalling is the worldwide wholesale slaughter of babies and mothers due to poverty, disease and malnutrition!
Each and every year over FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND mothers die due to childbirth.
TEN MILLION BABIES die each and every year due to “natural cause’ like poverty, disease and acts of God. SOURCE HERE: According to the report, almost 90% of all deaths among children under five years of age are attributable to just six conditions. These are: acute neonatal conditions, mainly preterm birth, birth asphyxia and infections, which account for 37% of the total; lower respiratory infections, mostly pneumonia (19%); diarrhoea (18%); malaria (8%); measles (4%); and HIV/AIDS (3%). Most of these deaths are avoidable through existing interventions that are simple, affordable and effective.
The Mexico tragedy is horrific. And if five unnecessary deaths are five too many, where is the proportional outrage and outreach for five hundred thousand mothers and ten million babies? Open your hearts. Open your tax dollars.
Like THAT”S ever going to happen. It’s so much easier to shake your fists at a few poor desperate mothers than actually do something about it.

BTW, Rana, yes, I can vouch for the Mexico’s healthcare professionals.
I tore up my ankle badly while jogging up the stairs in front of the Ghandi statue in Mexico City’s Chapultepec Park last summer. They took me to a doctor who x-rayed my ankle, showed me the soft tissue damage I had clumsily incurred, prescribed anti-inflammatories and pain relievers and a topical numbing agent to get me back to work (with an Ace bandage) the following day. Top notch, clean, efficient, professional medical help with a sum total cost to me of - ZERO. Nothing. Nada. The good taxpaying people of Mexico thought it was more important to relieve my pain and return me to productivity that to line the pockets of billionaire HMO CEOs.
In contrast, my friend’s wife developed a kidney stone last year. Due to a nine hour wait in an emergency facility while she laid doubled up on the couch in pain, and subsequent trial and error medical care, they are now on the hook for over $33 THOUSAND DOLLARS in bills for which they could not afford insurance, let alone the medical expense itself, all for something for which she was completely and utterly BLAMELESS.
They have now been forced to sell their very modest house and move into a rental apartment to cover the expenses, and will still be paying interest on the principal for years to come.
Laugh at Mexico’s system, but knock on wood while you are at it.

I call it grasping at straws, Mark. The Mexican medical system is inferior to the United States and trying to compare our Safe and Legal abortions to Mexico City is quite interesting.
Try again.

If women are dying during legally sanctioned medically supervised abortions just imagine the death toll when you right-wingers drive all the abortion providers underground.
But that is what you want isn’t it Mark? You think that any young girl that seeks out an abortion should be given a death sentence.
Talk about the culture of death.

whatever it is, is it any more right to ignore the murder of the child that started it all?
you liberals can tag supposition all you want, but in the beginning, there was a life that someone should have protected, instead of just thrown away like used paper towel…a human life…

OMG that is hilarious!
Anyway…. abortions in Mexico. Gay books in schools in England. “Anti Christian” things in Canada.
Mark, got anything a bit more local? You are stretching a bit here.
