Another Reason to Boycott the Olympics

And start up a trade embargo, and break off diplomatic relations with that inhuman government in Beijing:
SA won’t stop Zim arms cargo
The government has defended the Chinese consignment of arms destined for Zimbabwe which is on board a ship in Durban harbour.
The An Yue Jiang, which is reportedly loaded with 77 tons of mortars, ammunition and rocket-propelled grenades, was boarded by SAPS explosives experts on Wednesday.
Reports of the arms shipment has sparked a political outcry with parties calling on the government to block the consignment to Zimbabwe’s army.
Zimbabwe has no money at all - in fact, the entire country is completely bankrupt…so, there is no way for Zimbabwe to buy arms from China, and that means that China is buying the loyalty of Zimbabwe’s government to further China’s imperial ambitions in Africa. The government of Zimbabwe, of course, has been engaging for years in a systematic oppression of the people of Zimbabwe - for China to lend a hand shows that the government of China is outside of the bounds of civilized behaviour, and unfit for decent company of any kind.
Enough is enough - down with the Chinese government, and to hell with their pretensions to world power.

Isn’t China also selling arms to Sudan (for oil) to aid the Islamic government’s/Arab Muslim Janjaweed’s genocide against the Black Muslims, Christians and animists in Darfur?

Freedom,
I believe so - and oh, for the day when we will finally challenge those barbarians in Beijing!

Chinia is also driving up the costs of Oil. It is thier intent to subvert the US economy, and they are well on the way to success.
I wonder what would happen if they had tens of thousands of containers sent home? Clinton open up our economy to the Chinese, he as much caused much of our economic decline as anyone.

Presidential spokeswoman Dana Perino said Bush’s position was that the Olympics “should be about the athletes and not necessarily about politics.”
She said that Bush, in accepting the invitation last year from Chinese President Hu Jintao to attend the Olympics, told him that the games would “shine a spotlight on all things Chinese.”
I beleive George Bush said something to the effect ‘its a sporting event’ when questioned about attending the Olympics.

last time the neptunian nabobs checked
the u.s. used to be the strongest country in the world both financially and militarily
now…it appears the u.s. is only the strongest with their military
with that said…sorry…but we’re confused again
why boycott?
why not just attack and get it over with
isn’t that your endgame anyway?

China is the bastion of communism…on this earth anyways….the smaller communist states are literally dependent on china’s support to exist….we are dealing with a country that used slave labor for making exports so the countries military arm could thrive…the media ban in Tibet was not to protect China’s people, but the brutality executed on its people by the communist dictatorship….all of this is an affront to what the Olympics stand for….among free nations, we have nurtured the Olympics as a representation of liberty and truth, free will, free competition among equals…which, in a nation like China, will land you in prison….as a state enemy…they are already talking about bans on media, which is opposition to free speech, opposed to media showing the world what its like in china

JS- “Made in China” superceedes the Clinton presidency. I’m pretty sure that it goes back further but Nixon in 1972 held trade talks with Beijng. And by the way, your boy Bush has provided the largest push of all for open trade with China. But keep lying to yourself, it seems to have worked thus far for you.

wait let me get this straight, you want to end relations with china, and cut off trade?????
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha………WOW!
Mark, you have reached a new low…i wonder if we can nominate you for Secretary of State, your ideas are absolutely wonderful with regards to foreign policy.
Face it, US dominance in the world is coming to an end, your currency is dropping, your economy is not growing as fast as other nations, and your military is being drained in Iraq. I predict the end of the American Empire in about 15 years. Enjoy conservatives……

its easy to cough up a bit of omission in sweeping statements like you do, but the reality is that without chinas money, clinton would not have been president, and without clintons influence, china would still be barred from trade in the us
it turns out that all the conservatives that said it would turn out wrong were right, no matter how you shake it up, clinton screwed america, straight and to the irrefutable point
