Obama’s Sleaze Factor

John Kass takes note of Obama’s political background:
Except for his dalliance with his indicted real estate fairy, Tony Rezko, a relationship Obama considers a mistake, the senator has not played the fly to Mayor Richard Daley’s spider. Almost, but not quite.
“I know there are those like John Kass who would like me to decry Chicago politics more frequently, and I’ll leave that to his editorial commentary,” Obama said.
Not the politics, just the corruption, I said then, wishing silently that he had decried it all, that he’d stood up years ago and pointed to the list of sleazy deals, pointed an angry finger at the Duffs, the white, Outfit-connected drinking buddies of Daley who received $100 million in affirmative action contracts through City Hall.
That’s an easy political commercial for the Republicans: Mobbed-up white guys party at the old Como Inn with Daley, and they get $100 million in city affirmative action contracts and Daley doesn’t know how it happened and Obama endorses the mayor in the name of reform.
Obama had nothing to do with the Duff deal. But he kept mum. He has endorsed Daley, endorsed Daley’s hapless stooge Todd Stroger for president of the Cook County Board. These are not the acts of a reformer, but of a guy who, as we say in Chicago, won’t make no waves and won’t back no losers.
Obama the reformer is backed by Mayor Richard M. Daley and the Daley boys. He is spoken for by Daley’s own spokesman, David Axelrod. He was launched into his U.S. Senate by machine power broker and state Senate President Emil Jones (D-ComEd).
We have our Obama file, and I recommend everyone take a look at it - because this man just may be sworn in as President on January 20th, 2009. Obama likes to present himself as a reformer - and as a man who has risen above Chicago’s notoriously corrupt and entirely Democratic political culture. This, of course, is nonsense. While Obama is trying hard to play a “Tony Rezko who?” game, there are only two possible interpretations of the land deal Obama had with Rezko vis a vis Obama’s home: either it was a payoff by Rezko for services rendered and/or promised by Obama, or Rezko and Obama are both the stupidest men in America (Rezko for happily buying worthless property which helped Obama; Obama for thinking that when a political wheeler-dealer helps you out, he wants nothing in return).
To think that this man Obama is going to bring change to our political system is to ignore where he comes from and the fact that he’s never taken step one to battle the corruption of his political party in Chicago. The fact that Obama has blinded himself or been blind to the rampant corruption of Democratic politics indicates either a high degree of incompetance on his part, or a high degree of tolerance for corruption. In either case, the mere fact of Obama’s not taking a stand shows he is unfit to be President of the United States. Unless and until Obama can scrape off the Chicago Democratic sleaze, he will be a man incapable of assisting in the real solution to our nation’s problems.

Unless and until Obama can scrape off the Chicago Democratic sleaze, he will be a man incapable of assisting in the real solution to our nation’s problems created by nationwide Republican sleaze.
The Democrats deserve a turn destroying the country. And with all the precedents set by Bush, Obama won’t be accountable to anyone or anything.
He’ll just pull all the troops from Iraq, then shove the “victory” message down the embedded journalist pipeline, while hiding the truth, just like Bush.
He’ll pad the DoJ with cronies, prosecute prime Republican targets and ignore Democratic malfeasance, and hide behind executive privilege, just like Bush.
He’ll yank all money from “faith based” programs, then deny it, and hide behind executive privilege, just like Bush.
Obama will tap you phones and read your emails, targeting political enemies with impunity, just like Bush.
And if you don’t like it, you can yell all you want from within Obama’s “free speech zones” just like Bush.

I am often asked what’s the greatest thing about living outside the United States. My reply is always that look of disgust on John Boehner’s face when something else goes wrong.
Now there’s a bright good looking human that the Right should have run for President, he would have been perfect. Articulate young with appropriate values from a very crucial state. But no, you offer candidate to your own people that have no chance of appealing to the broad swath of American undecided voters.
Look the point I make is that no one is entitled to anything politically so the message and the finances are what get the voters into the booths. Outside forces like the economy help too to allow those on the fence to choose a side. There is no real last laugh just the most recent laugh and to get that all the Democrats have to do is take the ball. Or to follow along with your analogy instead of running to mommy the kid just goes upstairs and gets his mom’s .38 and the ball issue and all others are solved. That analogy is the difference between the Democratic Party of 1968 and 2008.

This is what I have said before…There is NOTHING in Obama’s history that shows he was EVER involved with rooting out corruption, or even denouncing it. He looked the other way and reaped the benefits of his going along, from his political ‘godfather’ Emil Jones and Ritchie Daley.

Being from Cook County myself, I know how crooked things are here. Senator Obama has been mentored by some of the worst that politics and religion has to offer.
Mr. Obama’s boss here was Emil Jones who is the only ally our current govenor has left. Our current govenor will soon be in prison, and Barack Obama has defended his criminal behavior the entire time. While in the State Senate here, Mr. Obama was an order taker, never a leader, and was too cowardly to ever speak up until Mr. Emil Jones approved.
Mr. Obama has also endorsed the failed leadership of Cook County Board President Todd Stroger who has just made Cook County the HIGHEST TAXED county in the nation, and Barack Obama was very supportive of this.
We are also asked to believe that Mr. Obama had no idea of Pastor Wright’s rascist, anti-American, and anti-semetic views. Mr Obama never heard these rants? Mr Obama never got the church newsletter sent to his house? GEEESH. If anybody believes that, then they are a moron.

The leftists myth which is perpetuated in our public school systems, and apparently that of Canada, is that Communism and Fascism are on opposite ends of the political spectrum. Belief in this simplistic myth has been demonstrated by more than one of the leftist trolls, without anymore than a dismissive snide remark, unsubstantiated by any reasoned argument to support their position. Thank you CO, at least you tried. Now can you explain the difference between fascism as you define it and communism?
There is none. You fail to mention the principle difference which is property rights. Under communism, they don’t exist. Under fascism, they exist but are subject to the will and control of the state. Based on this, fascism is in fact a more apt description of what the American left is working towards. They realize that confiscation of personal property is unacceptable in the western world. So the left works towards the defacto control of economic system through ever increasing regulation and taxation.
