Kennedy Has Cancerous Brain Tumor
May 20th, 2008 at 05:43pm Matt Margolis
We’re now learning that Ted Kennedy’s seizures from the other day were caused by a malignant brain tumor, and the outlook for the senior senator from Massachusetts isn’t very good.

God Bless Senator Kennedy. My thoughts and prayers are with him.

Often times we ask “Why? Why me, God?” and entirely understanble…but, may God give Ted the strength and reassurance to know that he certainly does have a God who cares and looks over him…A God who can heal.
I will pray for Sen. Kennedy.

Our wishes for renewed good health for Ted Kennedy go forth. May he be fully healed.

Jer.
I will pray sen kennedy’s soul is saved.
As for the man?
I consider him an enemy of our republic. He has been on the front line of every kook fringe liberal un constitutional push there has been. To many to mention here.
He is a drunken, adulterer who left a young girl to die a horrific death, and only reported it after he had sobered up and called his lawyer.
He should have been imprisoned for this CRIME, except he is the son of a bootlegger millionaire, and got a pass.
He has denounced and lied about the Rep. party and a sitting President.
He cheated at college and hasnt had an ounce of morals since.
I can not, and will not, grieve for my enemy and this man was just that!
Now let the marxist trolls here flame away for their hero.

With a few exceptions, I am heartening by the good wishes being sent to Sen. Kennedy emanating from Republicans.
We seem to come together as one when another person is in peril; political differences are put aside in the name of human compassion.
Stay strong Sen. Kennedy!!

I just prayed to Almighty God to heal, completely and totally, Senator Ted Kennedy. God bless Senator Kennedy.

“I will pray sen kennedy?s soul is saved.”
That about says it. and that is plenty

I know how FmrMarine feels, but this is a point where no one should wish any kind of ill on another person. I often (if not almost always) disagree with the Senator’s policies and beliefs, but I would never wish this sort of illness on anyone.
To wish his soul is saved says nothing of his life. Karma can be a real bitch - you often reap what you sow.

Never ever?
You wouldn’t wish ill on Osama? I would.
12. Mark Noonan | May 21st, 2008 at 1:32 am
clark,
We really can’t even do that:
Hard as it may be to love our enemies (Osama), our tax collectors (Ted) and the pagans (Hollywood), yet must we love them…
13. clark smith | May 21st, 2008 at 3:17 am
Far be it for me to pooh-pooh the Sermon on the Mount.
Are there not individuals (Osama springs immediately to mind), however, that become so possessed of evil that the kindest wish for them is that the utter wretchedness of their existence be mercifully cut short?
‘Old Yeller’–of Disney fame–had to be put down, as he had become a scourge to all around him, and even to his own self. Shooting the dog seemed like an act of cruelty, but in fact it was the height of mercy.
Men can become, through devotion to evil, more deadly than rabid dogs, and just as intractable. In such cases, let us pray–even for their own sakes–that their end be speedy and sure.

What is the single most important and only real lasting possession that any person has? Their soul. To hope for and wish that the soul of a person is saved from hell IS loving your enemy.
To wish them anything else; health, wealth, popularity etc… is worthless when one has a damned soul.
To wish for an evil person to be put in jail does not mean we don’t have love or compassion for them, quite the contrary. It is in fact that act of love that helps prevent them from committing further acts of evil and harm to his/her soul while allowing them time to reflect and change if that’s possible.
While I will not judge his soul “IF” Senator Kennedy has done evil things and shows a propensity to continue why should anyone wish him health? Why is that considered “loving your enemy”?
Instead I see this as an opportunity for Senator Kennedy to reflect on his past and put things in order. As my brother in Christ I do wish him well – for the sake of his soul. Nothing else really matters. Not his “physical health”, not his financial situation, not his earthly passions and certainly not his “political stature”.
For his soul I pray. God will decide what mercy or justice he merits.

After a lifetime devoted in service to the American people, surely to mercy, you are not comparing Sen. Kennedy to a rabid dog or a terrorist, CS, are you?
I am with Mark on this one. No matter how much you may detest his politics, he is a fellow human being and deserves at the very least to be shown some compassion.
16. factfinder | May 21st, 2008 at 10:22 am
amused observer demonstrates the epitome of hypocrisy by demanding FmrMarine should “turn the other cheek” while at the same time condemning him to “burning in hell” for his comments. Talk about a double standard.
As for acknowledging that political opponents are also human beings, perhaps he should tell that to the Kopechne family, because Kennedy treated their daughter Mary Jo, as a threat to his political career, rather than a fellow human being. CanadianObserver, where was Kennedy’s “compassion” for Mary Jo? Forgiveness can only be given by the Kopechne family, not demanded by a bunch of fawning liberals. I for one dislike Kennedy, not for his politics, but for his ACTIONS. Too many liberals conveniently ignore his ACTIONS and try to accuse others of condemning him for his politics. It’s hard to feel sorry for a guy who willingly let a woman drown, to save his political career. I hope he recovers, so that maybe it will give him a clearer perspective of what is important in life, but I’m not optimistic. Politicians rarely experience “revelations”.

Kennedy was the driver of the car that Mary Jo Kopechne was in. However, from what I’ve heard, Laura (Welch) Bush was a passenger. How does being a passenger in a car make her responsible for the death of Micheal Dutton Douglas? (other than being the wife of a Republican President…)

Both Kennedy and Welch were …driving… under the influence, Ken.
Michael Dutton Douglas (November 16, 1945 – November 6, 1963) was a 17-year-old acquaintance of Laura Welch (later First Lady Laura Bush) who was killed when Welch, also 17, failed to stop at a stop sign while driving and broadsided his vehicle. Welch was not ticketed or charged in connection with the collision.

CO,
“Both Kennedy and Welch were …driving… under the influence..”
That’s where the similarities end. Did Laura Welsh delay alerting authorites while sobering up allowing the victim to slowly die?
During the time adult Kennedy wandered around trying to save his political career, MJK slowly suffocated in an air pocket. There was more than sufficient time to save her life.
The same could not be said for teenage Laura Welch.
Liberals cherry picked outrage and willingness to give each other passes is purely sickening.

And this idiot has a nationally syndicated radio show?
What in the world has happened to basic human diginity and using conduct to fit the occasion? When did media personnel start this trend to reducing everything to gutter tripe?
——————————————-
The same could not be said for teenage Laura Welch.
20. Danish Artist | May 21st, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Yes, you are correct, DA; she was just a drunken driving minor when she killed her friend. She was in no way responsible for her actions.
23. Danish Artist | May 21st, 2008 at 3:55 pm
CO, are you that dense? Obviously….
I never said she was not responsible. I was stating that the two are not comparible, not in any terms equal.
I’ll ask again. Did Laure Welch’s post accident actions allow the victim to die, when the victim could have been saved? Did Laura wander around and not report the accident while trying to find a way to cover her ass and while MDD was slowly dying?
You cannot compare the two.
Again, you liberals cherry picked outrage and eagerness to give each other passes is sickening.
Now learn how to read.
24. Danish Artist | May 21st, 2008 at 3:58 pm
Heyhey,
Stop with your false outrage. Liberal pundits and comedians have had their fair share with non-liberal misforturne and health tragedies.
Remember the when Reagan was diagnosed with alzheimers, as an example?
So, stop boring us with your false outrage.
25. factfinder | May 21st, 2008 at 4:03 pm
“Both Kennedy and Welch were …driving… under the influence..”
CanadianObserver, you are incorrect. Laura Welch was not driving under the influence. Check the police report. In addition, Kennedy tried to claim he WASN’T drunk.
Nice try on comparing the two, but the actions of a 17-year-old girl who ran a stop sign have no comparison to a US Senator who put his political aspirations ahead of saving the life of a fellow human being, along with all the people who willingly assisted in helping him sweep this under the rug.
26. Ken | May 22nd, 2008 at 5:23 am
CanadianObserver, do you have a credible source showing that Laura Welch Bush was driving under the influence when she was driving?
As for the main topic. I pray for Sen Ted Kennedy’s recovery and wish him well. My views on his past actions are not so kind but this is not time to express them.
27. HeyHey | May 23rd, 2008 at 12:26 pm
I’m not outraged. This is typical right wing radio. Thanks DA. I knew you would approve what Savage said.
