Democratic Talking Points, Part 1 Some Pro-Abortion Fanatics Upset Over NARAL Endorsement of Obama

Sorry, But Democrats are Really Getting to be a Bunch of …. Well, You Know

Geesh!

Fried shrimp on a bed of jasmine rice and a side of mango salad, all served on a styrofoam plate. Bottled water to wash it all down.

These trendy catering treats are unlikely to appear on the menu at parties sponsored by the Denver 2008 Host Committee during the Democratic National Convention this summer.

Fried foods are forbidden at the committee’s 22 or so events, as is liquid served in individual plastic containers. Plates must be reusable, like china, recyclable or compostable. The food should be local, organic or both.

And caterers must provide foods in “at least three of the following five colors: red, green, yellow, blue/purple, and white,” garnishes not included, according to a Request for Proposals, or RFP, distributed last week.

The shrimp-and-mango ensemble? All it’s got is white, brown and orange, so it may not have the nutritional balance that generally comes from a multihued menu.

“Blue could be a challenge,” joked Ed Janos, owner of Cook’s Fresh Market in Denver. “All I can think of are blueberries.”

What a bunch of sissies! Watch out, Democrats, there might be some grease in your food! Here’s the dialogue I imagine:

NEA Pinhead: So, you’re here for Obama, too?

AFSCME Pinhead: Yes! I’m so excited!

NEA P: Me, too! I get that tingly feeling down my leg whenever I even think about hearing him speak!

AFSCME P: Gosh! I thought I was the only one!

NEA P: Have you been to the buffet line yet?

AFSCME P: Yes, and they’ve got an organic Gratin Dauphinoise created by a local transgendered, differently-abled chef of color that is to die for.

NEA P: Perfect! By the way, how are you voting on the abortion plank for the platform?

AFSCME P: Federally funded abortion on demand, as always! Gotta show we care, right?

    “What a bunch of sissies!”

Mark - you are hilarious! Please, tell us what real red-blooded Americans eat. What are the manly foods, Mr. Marlboro Man?

But be careful not to alienate the wrong folks. Americans palletes have evolved quite a bit in the last 20 years, and lot of conservatives are known to be (eek)…gourmets! Been to a grocery store lately?

Do you think the Democrats will “select” Obama?

    May 20, 2008
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is entering the Kentucky and Oregon primaries on Tuesday with one of the most pugnacious political messages of her campaign: That she is ahead in the national popular vote when all votes are counted, including from the unsanctioned primaries in Michigan and Florida, and that party leaders who have a vote as super-delegates should reflect this level of appeal.

Did anyone notice that Obama claimed yesterday (5-19-08) that AFSCME and SEIU are “seeing their jobs shipped overseas”?

How, exactly do we ship government jobs American Federation of State, County and Municiple Employees) and hotel custodial (Service Employees International Union) jobs overseas?
