An article from George Will, about America’s last World War One veteran - 107 year old Frank Buckles.
Read it, and appreciate those who served - and serve - in all our wars.

Nice article. My Grandfather fought in WWI. I have a German mortar shell casing he sent back on my desk. It is one of my most prized possessions.

I dont understand this blog.
Many of the so-called conservatives on here claim to be such positive people, staunch supports of our military, blah blah blah.
Yet everytime a positive thread is posted about a Vet…there are almost no posts.
Yet a thread about Obama generates 72 posts.
None of you lazy bums can take 30 secs out of your time to post something positive about a wonderful man.
You guys blast Capser on here all the time…yet he was the only one to post.
The name of the blog should be changed to Blogs for Democrat Haters, because that’s about the only thing you all will post..hatred for Democrats.
I like George Will’s columns and this is about the best one I have read in a long time.
107 yrs old…amazing story.
