You fail to observe that Islam is a religion and that therein lies the first part of the problem.
Religion.

majoriot,
The problem isn’t Islam, it is Islamism - that species of Islamic thought which holds to violence and conquest at the proper thing to do…its the difference between, say, a regular Catholic priest giving a homily and that priest who spoke at Obama’s old church the other day…it is good to have a priest celebrate the Eucharist…not so good for a priest to play up hate filled racial politics. But the only way we’ll put a priest playing racial politics in his place is to believe in genuine Christianity…believe in nothing and you leave the whole field to the renegade.
Human beings are made to believe, major, and they will believe something - or be made to do so by those who are determined to have their way.

It’s so sad that you actually believe this. I mean, I know you’re just trying to invent some justification to avoid acknowledging majoriot’s (quite salient) point, but given your inability to separate the muddled mess in your mind from actual reality, I’m sure we’ll be seeing plenty more of this patently absurd line of *ahem* “thinking.”

Tract,
Get back to me when you have a point.

“The problem isn’t Islam, it is Islamism…”- Mark Noonan
How many bodies will have to pile up before you wake up to the truth that it’s Islam itself which is the problem? 1 million? 2 million? Allam certainly believes the problem is Islam itself:
Talk about relativism.

Get back to me when you have a point.
I’m sorry you have such a failure of intellect that you can’t grasp what I’m saying. I thought I stated it pretty clearly, but tell me…which parts do I need to dumb down for you?

Tract,
I understand perfectly what you’re saying - but you don’t make an actual point in your comment. Get back to me when you wish to do so.

So I need to dumb down the whole thing for you, then? OK, let me walk you through it.
1. You link to an article about a convert from one Abrahamic religion to another Abrahamic religion claiming that his new religion is superior to his old religion.
2. You somehow turn that into an indictment of agnosticism, which had nothing to do with #1.
3. majoriot points out this disconnect–that you’re trying to blame agnosticism for conflict between religions.
4. You respond by changing the subject to talk about a Christian saying things you don’t like from the pulpit, further insisting that only Christianity can fix this situation.
5. I make fun of you for completely missing majoriot’s point and for trying to invent some sort of strange justification for not only your initial error mentioned in step #2, but your strange changing of the subject.
6. You claim ignorance.
7. I explain it to you again right here.
8. ?????? (My bet: repeat step #6.)
