Obama Fundraiser Rezko Guilty on 16 Counts of Corruption

Not exactly the best news for Obama the day after he unofficially cliched the Democratic nomination…
RNC Chairman Duncan released the following statement tonight regarding the Rezko verdict:
“On the day Barack Obama hoped to unite his party after wheezing over the finish line and claiming the Democrat nomination, a jury in his hometown of Chicago convicted his longtime friend and fundraiser Tony Rezko of multiple felonies. This is further proof that Obama’s high-flying rhetoric is just that and in no way represents the kind of change our nation demands. Today’s verdict and Obama’s friendship with Rezko raise serious questions about whether he has the judgment to serve as president.”

Yea, he’s going down hard, as he should. There was definitely a shady land deal that went down but nothing criminal on Obama’s part. McCain has had his own shady dealings in real estate as well. McCain has also dealt with Abramoff in the past. Guilty by association?

im of the school of thought that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is…and for obama to be as naive and ignorant as he claims…is way far too good to be true…you gotta know alot of folks are hiding the truth here..

Rezko has also raised money for Republicans: former Illinois Governors Jim Edgar and George Ryan, the late Rosemont Mayor Don Stephens and he co-chaired a megamillion-dollar fund-raiser for President George W. Bush in 2003.

But the great Obamarama has declared he is a ‘different’. He claims he has no ties to lobbyists; but of course that is just BS.
He is a typical Chicago politician, and his rise to higher offices benefited from his willful blindness to the corruption around him, and his willingness to do business with shady characters like Rezko.

Obama’s words about Toni Rezko: “I’m deeply disappointed, that’s not the man I know.”
That’s also what he said about Rev. Wright, and that’s what he said about Rev. Pfleger.
This excuse is getting a little old. How is it possible that all of his friends, mentors and spiritual leaders have suddenly changed and are no longer who they once were?

Could have been much worse. For God’s sakes, you cant ignore all the corruption in the Bush white house, and look how well he’s doing. Scooter Libby, Dick Cheney and his Oil intrests, and my personal favorite: Claude Allen, Bush’s former top domestic policy advisor, who was forced to resign after being arrested in a refund theft scheme, in which he used fake receipts to “return” some $5,000 dollars worth of merchandise that he did not pay for to Target and other stores.

And what about pelosi, I dont think her family has any relations that doesnt have a job because of her…and the integrity of the entire demoncrat movement that was trashed when they ran on a platform about the war that they absolutely did not intend to fulfill…matter of fact, dealing with petty thieves is pretty easy compared to dealing with the DNC’s professional liars and con artists….like the ones that created the rumors that you deign to be fact which are not…

It also should come as no surprise that Barack hired two members of the Nation of Islam to work on his staff–Jennifer Mason and Cynthia K. Miller. (And no, I am not merely recycling info initially reported by Debbie Schlussel. I have two independent Chicago sources for this info.) If Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger had kept their yaps buttoned none of this would mean much. But the fact that both men have been–until scrubbed from the website in recent weeks–listed as spiritual advisors to Barack Obama and also are very close to Louis Farrakhan, forces the question about Barack’s faith and beliefs.
