If the people of Idaho want Larry Craig, and the people of Louisiana want David Vitter, and the people of Texas want Tom De Lay, and the American Evengelicals elect Ted Haggard as their preseident and he goes to advise Bush along with Jack Abramoff, why should I deny the people of Minnesota a chance to get their favorite son in place. 10th amendment rule. It’s Minnesotas buisiness. Bush supporters have enough of their own problems it seems to me without worrying about anybody elses.
Have a nice day!

so what you’re saying, JAT, is that the Democrats don’t hold themselves to a higher standard?
3. JustAnotherTaxpayer | June 8th, 2008 at 11:46 pm
I’ve never said they did! One party is worse than the other on alternating thursdays. But like all liberals, all they can do is blame somebody other than themselves for their mistakes.
Have a nice day!

I would love to see him get elected so some of your heads would explode!

Same drivel from the same kooks. The fact is, Al Franken has no political experience and should not be elected. However, from what I’ve heard about Minnesota, the kooks up there don’t care because they’re all afflicted with the same Bush/GOP-hatred as the trolls who still pollute this fine blog.
England is awesome; the weather here in North Yorkshire is lovely. And we are living in one of the most conservative areas of the country. Don’t get me wrong; the U.K. is big on the nanny state. It’s worse here than in MD, my former stomping ground. But I still love it here, and may stay forever.
Cheers!!!motor

When are Republicans going to talk about substance? The economy is in the toilet, $5 dollars for gas, average Americans losing their homes, and the President is heading to Europe where America’s prestige is so low nobody cares. And all Minnesota Senator Coleman and fellow Repugs want to talk about is a comedian’s satire in Playboy?
Rasmussen 5/22/08 Coleman 47 Frankin 45 Pollster.com
An incumbent with those kind of numbers, at this stage of the campaign, better be talking about substantive change or will soon find himself on the political trash heap.

JAT,
Why do you insist everyone have a nice day? What if someone wants to have a bad day? Do they have that choice?
I thought liberals were pro-choice.

OperationChaos,
Glad to hear you are doing well in England. I hope you continue to enjoy your time there.

” The economy is in the toilet, $5 dollars for gas, average Americans losing their homes” Uptown
All since the 2006 elections. And now the threat of Hussein Obama as POTUS.
10. Casper | June 9th, 2008 at 10:36 am
Actually SEW, it’s all since the 2004 presidential election and the threat that McCain is going to serve Bush’s third term.
11. Kahn | June 9th, 2008 at 10:54 am
Remember when he assaulted someone who’d been heckling Dean?
Prone to violence. And with a temper - what they claim about McCain…

Uptown - your party rules Congress. So what are YOU doing about those issues?
13. SEW | June 9th, 2008 at 11:12 am
A little help here Kahn. Republican congresscritters voted 92% to drill ANWR and offshore USA, Democrats voted 90% not to drill.

England probably is more liberal than MD, keefer; however, you evidently have gotten a good taste of what the other side offers, and have no other choice but to love and appreciate it.
English Conservatives in no way resemble American neocon religious nut jobs. Even England’s most outrageous eccentrics are lovable.
I wouldn’t give up on your homeland though, keefer. Come November, the long terrible slumber will over and the citizens will awaken from the eight year nightmare to embrace a new era.

Minnesotans.
These are the same people who sent Michele Bachmann to Congress.

“…you evidently have gotten a good taste of what the other side offers,….” - CO
um…….CO, keefer was speaking about the weather and landscapes, not the political climate. In fact he suggested he might want to stay regardless of the political climate.
Do they teach reading comprehension in between banjo lessons up thar in Canada?

I suspect, neocon, a little bit of the English ‘nanny state’ will rub off on keefer and he will return a better person for the experience.

Well, Cons have not completely succeeded in the establishment of a monarchy; we still have Presidential vetoes and Senate filibusters.
June 4ht 2008 -Republican Senator McConnell essentially shut down the Senate floor by forcing the Senate clerk to read aloud the entire 500 page global warming bill.

CO said “English Conservatives in no way resemble American neocon religious nut jobs. ”
Hah. Well American conservatives don’t resemble this hate filled fantasy either.
And then he said this “Even England’s most outrageous eccentrics are lovable.”

OK, sure.

Kahn
Believe it or not, there is a difference between an eccentric and a violent extremist.
