Clinton on Obama What Liberal Fascism? Part 3

Tom DeLay: Obama Is A Marxist

June 8th, 2008 at 10:32am Matt Margolis

Considering Obama’s positions on many issues… I would say DeLay is spot on.

Former House Republican Leader Tom DeLay (Texas) called Barack Obama a “Marxist” on the Mike Gallagher radio show Thursday.

Explaining that Obama clinching the Democratic nomination is a good thing for John McCain, DeLay said Obama’s “weakness” is that “nobody knows him.”

“And if McCain does not define him as what he is — hey, I have said publicly, and I will again, that unless he proves me wrong, he is a Marxist,” DeLay said.

The radio host agreed with DeLay, who is facing money laundering, charges [and will never go to trial because the charges are bogus --ed.] saying Obama is “desperately trying to cover up what seems to be the kind of old school Marxist radical liberal failed ideology.”

“Absolutely,” DeLay said. “No doubt about it.”

A YouTube of Obama talking to his staff the other day - off the cuff - displaying his Marxism for all to see:

    Matt

If Tom Delay, a shining beacon of truth and integrity, says Barack Obama is a Marxist, well gee whiz man, that’s good enough for me.

    mattxist:
    tom delay is an alien
tom says obama is a marxist
    you agree
so you too are a green goombah

Tom DeLay has more integrity than Barack Obama.

  • 5. CanadianObserver  |  June 8th, 2008 at 12:35 pm

Matt…..Tom DeLay has more integrity than Barack Obama.

May we have some examples of Mr. Delay’s integrity, svp.

  • 6. Some Assembly Required  |  June 8th, 2008 at 12:36 pm

Well Matt, you say it, so it must be true

  • 7. Casper  |  June 8th, 2008 at 12:38 pm

    Matt,
Tom Delay is one of the most despised politicians in this country. In 2004 the Republican led House Ethics Committee unanimously admonished him. Why would you even what to quote him?

  • 8. neocon  |  June 8th, 2008 at 12:55 pm

Are we talking about an elected representative who has alledgedly broken some campaign finance laws ACTUALLY resigned his seat of power because of those allegations depsite being convicted of anything???? And how many here believe in innocent until proven guilty?

How refreshing. How many liberals have left office on their own accord following alledged misconduct?

    Anyone?

Really? You can say such a thing with a straight face why Mr Margolis? Merely because DeLay was a member of the GOP or because he is a white man or because he parrots the tripe of the elite family values set?

And why exactly is Tom DeLay the “former” House Majority leader? Do you even wish to argue the issue of integrity based on the facts or some invention of rules regarding your side can do as it pleases and the Democrats are evil because they are well Democrats?

I truly hope you choose to show some proof of Barack Obama’s lack of integrity so I can show you exactly in chapter and verse where I find DeLay possessing none.

  • 10. Casper  |  June 8th, 2008 at 1:03 pm

    neocon,
Nice try at deflection. No one on this thread has said he was guilty of anything other than what he was admonished for. However, if it will make you feel better to compare him with other scum politicians, go for it.

the lefty trolls here would never admit one of their own being corrupt… instead they focus their sites on mere accusations against Republicans. The Democratic Party is full of corruption.. but it’s okay if you’re corrupt and a Democrat…

Obama and Rezko.. can’t wait for people to open their eyes to that…

  • 13. Timothy Horrigan  |  June 8th, 2008 at 1:39 pm

Ironically, the Bushites’ theories about what was supposed to happen after the tyrant Saddam was overthrown were taken straight out of Marx’s, Enegle’s and Lenin’s playbook.

But that is beside the point… Delay was not calling Obama a “Marxist” because he had noticed disturbing parallels between Obama’s campaign speeches and Marx, Engels and their followers’ writings. There are no such parallels to notice. What Delay means by “Marxism” has in any case little or nothing to do with Marx anyway.

    13. Timothy Horrigan | June 8th, 2008 at 1:39 pm

    Right.

The type of “marxism” DeLay means is the kind that white people fear when black men are in charge. Fear is the mind killer . . .

  • 15. PeterPan  |  June 8th, 2008 at 1:44 pm

Tom DeLay has more integrity than Barack Obama.

That statement alone Margolis, all the other B.S. aside, completely exposes the amount of integrity YOU HAVE. None.

    Comical. Absolutely comical.

“Delay was not calling Obama a “Marxist” because he had noticed disturbing parallels between Obama’s campaign speeches and Marx, Engels and their followers’ writings.”

    No parallels? Are you serious????

perhaps you should stop drinking the Obama Kool-Aid

Iraq will not allow its territory to be used to attack Iran, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki has said during a visit to Tehran.

So, ahhhh….what would Mr. Delay have to say about this development?

You guys crack me up. Come on now, spin control central, kick into gear!

Who gives A.S. about what Delay has to say anyhow?

“Sam Graham-Felsen, hired to run Obama’s blog, writes about Noam Chomsky in a Marxist publications that openly calls for revolution against the American government. This is a Presidential candidate’s choice to run the on-line portion of his campaign. That speaks volumes of his character and worldview. Contradicting what he says in public, Obama is surrounding himself with poeple who never seem to learn that their absurd ideologies end in misery and ruin. ”

    http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/04/another_obama_marxist.html

seems like this theme crosses over many boundries….obama the marxist….does anyone really, really know hussein obama? we got a short shot at the truth in his 20 year patronage of the Trinity anti whitey church of black supremacy….why is it that you twinkle toed liberals cant talk about the issue…all your weak butts have succumbed to ignorance of the very thing you think you are defending…a very dangerous issue for freedom…because freedom and marxism just dont mix….

  • 19. Eric T  |  June 8th, 2008 at 3:40 pm

    #14- Robin

Your making race an issue here, bro.

If Obama wins and is president I’d be proud to take a bullet, to protect him. I don’t want him to win, I don’t like his record on several issues, but the issue is a political race between republicans and democrats. You guys spin it into a race issue and All them White folks everywhere that voted Obama might have second thoughts.

MLK was a Republican, Fredrick Douglas, Lincoln.
Wasn’t that Jesse or Al saying Obama wasn’t black enuff, and they were supporting Clinton?

  • 20. Rana Quijotesca  |  June 8th, 2008 at 4:56 pm

How to find a corrupt politician:

    1.) Find a politician…

    That’s it… Democrat or Republican… that’s why I never vote for incumbents…

This is just another one of those baseless accusations that blogs (in general) throw at politicians… “Obama is a Marxist!” “Bush is a Fascist!”

    –it’s all the same tripe

  • 21. Eric T  |  June 8th, 2008 at 6:39 pm

    Robin and libs in denial

Tom Delay is not being racist,

If you don’t already have this material memorized hear it is.

    http://www.anu.edu.au/polsci/marx/classics/manifesto.html

Read it and you’ll see parts that make you think of Obama.

  • 22. phnx  |  June 8th, 2008 at 9:06 pm

Typical responses above from the libs: When the libs don’t like the message they attack the messenger.

  • 23. Casper  |  June 8th, 2008 at 9:27 pm

    phnx,
So if someone posted a quote from say Louis Farrakhan, you wouldn’t attack the messenger?

  • 24. phnx  |  June 8th, 2008 at 9:52 pm

    Casper,

As I said, attacking the messenger is to typical leftist response to almost any post.

Are you incapable of addressing the message?

  • 25. Casper  |  June 8th, 2008 at 9:55 pm

Ok, Obama is not a Marxist.

  • 26. phnx  |  June 8th, 2008 at 11:28 pm

    Casper,
Is that the best you’ve got?

Obama’s background seems to indicate that he is.

Obama had an admitted close relationship with someone who was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where, at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Frank Marshall Davis, listening to his “poetry” and getting advice on his career path. But Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him repeatedly and fondly as just “Frank.”

The reason is apparent: Davis was a known communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What’s more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several communist-front organizations.

Just one example of Obama’s Marxist intentions:

“To be a capitalist, is to have not only a purely personal, but a social STATUS in production. Capital is a collective product, and only by the united action of many members, nay, in the last resort, only by the united action of all members of society, can it be set in motion.

Capital is therefore not only personal; it is a social power.

When, therefore, capital is converted into common property, into the property of all members of society, personal property is not thereby transformed into social property. It is only the social character of the property that is changed. It loses its class character.: Marx

Obama’s tax plan proposes to transform personal property to social property to “achieve fairness”.

Another example is Obama’s sponsorship of the “Global Poverty Act”, designed to send hundreds of billions of dollars of U.S. foreign aid to the rest of the world, in order to meet U.N. demands.

  • 27. What?  |  June 9th, 2008 at 2:20 am

    So phnx,
That’s it. Obama knew a guy who was a Communist and he met some Marxists in the 70s.
I like how you quote Marx and then weakly point to Obama’s plan to make taxes “fair” as if you have proved something.
Would you like Obama to run on a platform based on making our tax code unfair?

  • 28. Casper  |  June 9th, 2008 at 8:21 am

    phnx,
So you have guilt by association and some actions that could be interpreted a number of ways as your evidence. I’ve seen other people make a just as compelling case that Bush is the Antichrist. I didn’t believe them either.

I bet if I could make just as good of a case that McCain is a Marxist if I wanted to spend the time researching his life and speeches. But that wouldn’t make him one.

  • 29. Uptown  |  June 9th, 2008 at 8:37 am

One day Obama is a Muslim, the next day he is a Fascist, the next an America hater, then a hater of American flag pins and now he is a Marxist. Do cons lake any kind of substance as a contribution to this election process?

This is the Karl Rove playbook at its best. Keep Swift-boating until something sticks. You know it is coming, what I am waiting for is the always tried and true Repug Swift-boating; Obama had an affair with a secretary in the basement of his church next to the nursery. I am sure that post will come from Leo some time in August.

” The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where, at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Frank Marshall Davis, listening to his “poetry” and getting advice on his career path. ”
    phnx | June 8th, 2008 at 11:28 pm

So, between the ages of 10-18 Barack Obama listened to poetry and got career advise from this man? Wow, that is weak!!!! These are stupid arguments and reasoning.

  • 31. Timothy Horrigan  |  June 9th, 2008 at 3:51 pm

What? said to Phnx: “I like how you quote Marx and then weakly point to Obama’s plan to make taxes “fair” as if you have proved something.”

If that makes Obama a Marxist than even Arthur Laffer is a Marxist. (And in fact, Laffer does know his Marx, as I can attest from having studied with him in the 1980s.) Even the supply siders say that the tax code should be fair and should also be designed to encourage activities which benefit the community as a whole and discourage those which don’t. And the supply siders also say that government should spend its funds on “public” goods and services… i.e., those which benefit the public.

Actually, we are all Marxists: Marx, Engels, Lenin, etc. have had a pervasive effect on our thinking about economics, history and politics.

Are you saying the GOP is not going to play the racial fear of the black man card in the South??? That would almost be respectable! You might have to vote for david duke or something. Why did you leave New York your beighbors grow weary of your whistling Dixie while you watched NASCAR?

We have a million of these “zingers.”

We think you hate blacks and homosexuals, are a bigoted Christian and sexually repressed little man who could use a good source of porn.

You see flinging insults does not get your nation out of debt to China and Japan, lower your gas prices or make it any cooler in my nation state. All this does is incite anger and fear and mistrust.

  • 34. phnx  |  June 9th, 2008 at 9:33 pm

Leftists if what I pointed to were the only indications of Obama’s Marxist leanings then you might have an argument. However Obama subscribes to the Black Liberation Philosphy of his Trinity Church. He had a 20 year indoctrination into its teachings and to this date, while he has attempted to distance himself from Rev. Wright, he has yet to renounce the psuedo religionous secular marxist philosphical teachings that he has supported by his presence and his money for the past 20 years.

This is not just guilt by association, its guilt by personal choice.

In the words of Cone, the founder of Black Liberation Theology (Philosophy):

“Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community … Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love. [1] ”

This message has nothing to do with Christianity. The economics of this philosophy are a call to revolution against the whitey, and a redistribution of wealth, be that by the sword or by government mandate.

So leftists spew your mindless talking points, the fact remains…Obama is a Marxist, perhaps a Marxist disguised as a ‘progressive’ (a euphamism for socialist)…but a marxist never the less.

  • 35. phnx  |  June 9th, 2008 at 10:15 pm

Food for thought for you leftists:

  • 36. Mark  |  July 2nd, 2008 at 11:13 pm

If ANY Republican would have associated him / herself with characters like Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, Michael Fleagher or Frank Marshall Davis — the would have been thrown to the wolves long ago — and Obama would be running un-opposed.
Don’t tell me there isn’t a liberal Media bias!!!
