From Prosecution to Persecution? Who Will Host Meet The Press

Ah, Those Inclusive, Sensitive Democrats

June 19th, 2008 at 02:24pm Mark Noonan

‘Cept when your man is being crushed in middle America and thus wants to spin himself into the White House:

Two Muslim women at Barack Obama’s rally in Detroit on Monday were barred from sitting behind the podium by campaign volunteers seeking to prevent the women’s headscarves from appearing in photographs or on television with the candidate.

The campaign has apologized to the women, both Obama supporters who said they felt betrayed by their treatment at the rally.

“This is of course not the policy of the campaign. It is offensive and counter to Obama’s commitment to bring Americans together and simply not the kind of campaign we run,” said Obama spokesman Bill Burton. “We sincerely apologize for the behavior of these volunteers.”

This is not at all new - waaay back in the 60’s, when the anti-war demonstrations came around, the left and the MSM were very careful not to allow any of the commie flags are horrific commie propaganda to show up on TV. Back in the 80’s whenever they wanted to work up an anti-American demonstration, they always made sure that they had a mom or two with a baby carriage to lead the way, so that the MSM could get a nice shot of that, rather than the raving, leftwing lunatics bringing up the rear. Today, however, is the day of the internet, YouTube and the blogosphere - can’t pull this sort or nonsense and get away with it.

While the truth is out there and all the truth is eating away at the Obama fantasy like acid, I do still wonder if the basic, starry-eyed, half-educated liberal out there will ever star to realise that they’ve been taken for a ride by a corrupt, cynical party of power-mad cretins?

    Magnum,

Umm yeah, remember that part where a good portion of conservatives are unhappy with McCain, especially evangelical ones?

Tell me how much McCain is like Bush again.

  • 9. Zach  |  June 19th, 2008 at 4:33 pm

Actually now that I think about it.

It wouldnt have mattered who the republican nominee would’ve been (besides Paul). Democrats had this talking point thought of 2 years ago.

    Any Republican=Evil=Bush,Cheney,War,End of the World, 3rd Term…

    Blah, Blah

ED NOTE: Retained, as it so neatly describes what the lefties have been doing on this thread.

Wow. Every possible subject EXCEPT the fact that modern day Democrats working for Obama discriminate based upon religion.

“Wow. Every possible subject EXCEPT the fact that modern day Democrats working for Obama discriminate based upon religion.”

I find it hilarious that you’d say that. Let’s say that they were allowed and the picture was taken. I could guarantee every right wing site and news outlet would jump on it as proof that Obama is Muslim just like the ‘half-brother of Obama saying he was raised Muslim story’ which was proved to be a complete farce.

“…education, immigration, Iraq, abortion, Supreme Court judges, Social Security, tax breaks for the wealthy, wiretapping, trade, healthcare, the Middle East, same sex marriage and Medicare.” -HeyNow

Objective people realize that Bush and McCain departed dramatically on many of those issues, and the impending McCain Presidency will reflect a more liberal approach to the those issues, much to the chagrin of many conservatives, and liberals.

Others, who are more surface oriented, and fully vested into the “change” rhetoric, couldn’t discern the difference anyway.

    have a nice day
    peace, neocon

“Objective people realize that Bush and McCain departed dramatically on many of those issues, and the impending McCain Presidency will reflect a more liberal approach to the those issues, much to the chagrin of many conservatives, and liberals.”

Thank you….departed dramatically you say..That sounds like a flip flopper to me. How can we trust a serial flip flopper?

  • 23. Danish Artist  |  June 19th, 2008 at 9:31 pm

I remember when the libs were slobbering all over McCain for thwarting Bush. We would hear the terms “maverick”, “speaks his own mind”, “thwarts the neocons”, etc. etc. etc.

Now the same ones call him “Bush lite”, “Bush clone”, etc. etc.

Well, we see that they are indeed guided by the talking points and are incapable of independent thought and forget what they said five minutes ago.

  • 24. Mark Noonan  |  June 20th, 2008 at 12:18 am

    Danish,

These are the moral descendents of those leftists in 1939 who switched in 24 hours from being anti-Nazi to be pro-Nazi at the command of Stalin…”half educated” is actually being generous with them.

  • 25. Jeremiah  |  June 20th, 2008 at 12:50 am

”half educated” is actually being generous with them.

Yep, and they can’t digest even that much of the truth you’ve stated.

I don’t know if there will ever be any hope for them mentally, as they’ve vested their lives, honors and sacrad fortunes in a man that will take it all.

Yes, indeed, what a pitiful lot they are. May they awaken in the morning with a touch of truth tugging at their hearts desire.

My, what it would be when we could all unify around that principal that strengthened America in the days of our Founding Fathers.

God looks at what’s in the heart and not what is on our head!

  • 26. Kahn  |  June 20th, 2008 at 1:09 am

In response to HeyNow’s post #17,

Well it’s OK so long as you can justify it to yourself is that it? WE discriminated because YOU are evil?

    What a joke.

  • 27. Kahn  |  June 20th, 2008 at 1:11 am

Still, every conceivable subject EXCEPT that Democrats discriminate based upon religion. Oh, one liberal defended it. My bad.

  • 28. HeyNow  |  June 20th, 2008 at 11:19 am

I wouldn’t call it discrimination…They didn’t want them behind Obama…that’s it. Nothing more….Kind of like the so called town hall McCain meetings with hand picked audience members or GWB staff selecting certain people to at his speeches while excluding others. Nothing new here for either party.
