I agree with Cavalor that it probably will be Chris Matthews but I would love Ann Coulter. I think she’s too smart to believe what she says but whether she believes it or not, she puts on a great show. She’s got an excellent sense of needling humor. Very ironic. She’s always well-prepared and nimble in her arguments. She has a lot of different gears, serious policy stuff, outrageous fantastical scenarios, very clever way of expressing herself…I could go on. I’m a fan.

My suggestion - retire the show. Start a new Sunday morning show with a new host. NOT Chris Matthews.

Mika, Chris, and David are to the left of Lenin, and would do MTP a great disservice. Not that Brian Williams is much better.
kj is right–MTP should be retired. Russert was an elitist, and a liberal, but he was a fair-minded journalist, a rare bird on network news.
Rest in peace, Tim Russert.

Even though his Romney mancrush was a bit tedious, Hugh Hewitt is one of the best interviewers in the media. Just like Russert, he prepares like Tiger Woods for a tournament, has a sharp legal mind (currently a law professor), and actually treats people with opposing political views (liberals) with respect.
His chances: 0.00
Get ready for the Olberdouchebag/Matthews drool-fest.

Laura Ingraham already knows how to talk with people of both parties, and does a good job of preparing for interviews. However, the network may find someone like Charles Gibson more palatable.
