Obama Redefining Himself

June 20th, 2008 at 06:34am Matt Margolis

Looks like Obama’s trying to redefine himself with his new general election television ad.

We’re not fooled.

UPDATE: Neither is Dean Barnett, who notes that Obama’s resumé is significantly padded.

“…an abiding faith in the country I love.”

If he loves his country so much, why does he want to leave it defenceless against our enemies?

Which of the 57 states will Michelle’s baby’s daddy protect, once he disarms our nukes?

Didn’t Republicans pioneer the use of “values” as a political issue… To carry Georgia (which is much closer than anyone expected), you need to use BS like that… no matter what side of the isle you are on…

    Congress in on an island?

    Fantasy Island…

The difference, Rana, is that Republicans genuinely have and try to adhere to values. Democrats use “values” as a theme to broaden their appeal.

“Republicans genuinely have and try to adhere to values.” If you are talking about repub politicians I have a cousin who is a prince in Nigeria you should talk to because you are a gullible moron who doesn’t learn from experience. I really like how repubs stick to their fiscal conservatism, after six years controlling all branches of government this shrinking budget has me excited for the future.

If Obama wins, America will become a socialist country.

at least that’s what I hear from the right and from Hannity about 4 times per half hour.

So if the polls are right and Obama wins, what country will all you righties be moving to ? Or will you stay and become our commie comrades ?

To everyone but BARRASSO (are you a hockey fan?) and ‘09bama:

    I have a few questions.

    1) What is a Radical-Liberal or a Liberal-Radical? The terms repesent different points of view.

    2) Is politics a game you play to win or to lose?

    3) How do you reckon Obama is a socialist?

[He's never said anything about state control of private enterprise. He's never said a word in favor of that type of society. He believes in capitalism, full stop.]

    4) Why is everybody so panicky about this?
[Obama gets his money from Wall Street, some coal interests, and large media. McCain gets a lot of his money from the same sources but in smaller amounts but gets all of the non-financial corporate and defense contributions.] Obama has a different idea of how to run a capitalist country than McCain does. That’s it.

But as ‘08bama says, you’re free to leave. Or you would have been had Bush not pissed off every other country in the world to the point that to emigrate from the USA to any country you’d have to post a a minimum of $250,000 to escrow because they want to keep Americans who might become tax cancers out.

    Vicodin,

If Bush “pissed off (there are much better words to use), every other country” how do you explain the recently elected pro-American govt’s in France, GB, Germany, Spain and Ireland? How do you explain a new ally in Libya and India? How do you explain moderate Arab states and their on-going help with the new young democracy in Iraq?

That just doesn’t mesh with your propaganda.

And Obama really isn’t his own man. He is bought and paid for by Soros, who espouses nothing less than socialism. Which is nothing more than lowering society to it’s lowest common denominator.

    peace, neocon

I’ve already moved to England, but nnot because of some election. It’s gonna be fun watching this on the BBC…

How do you reckon Obama is a socialist?

Anyone who wants to raise the capital gains tax “to make it fair,” and to nationalize our health-care system, is surely not a capitalist.

    He’s a socialist, full stop…

…after six years controlling all branches of government this shrinking budget has me excited for the future.

Well, BarASSo, maybe you should join your cousin in Nigeria; I hear life is peachy over there…
