Capital punishment and wars take lives of fully-realized human beings who possess emotions, moral perceptions, aspirations, memories and have established social relationships with others.--Dennis.

Yes. But the individuals in question must commit a crime before their life is taken. Capital punishment and wars are measures that are taken so that others may grasp the sense 'Murder is wrong.'

Do not murder, obey the law and you will not have to fear the Law Man.

You see? The Law was created to keep peace.

Where is the law concerning abortion as murder?

We're working on it.

you will not find one medical professional that will testify that a zygot and a fetus in a human womans body is not a living human being. period. no matter how you dice it...you cant change the fundamental facts...because its the truth

Essentially this post was stating that high gas prices don't matter because of abortion, a post aimed at the ten or so grumpy old men who constitute what's left of the B4V audience. But the truth is most Americans tuned out the abortion issue long ago, and almost all Americans are concerned about the price of gas. The end.

Neocon - it's not that "citizens of this nation don't give a hoot about abortion" - it's that they insist the government stay out of their private lives. Many people are opposed to abortion on general principles who would never consent to criminalizing an issue so personal and so fraught with complications and moral ambiguities.

You can only justify calling abortion murder if you are also willing to call capital punishment and wars which kill the innocent murder. Capital punishment and wars take lives of fully-realized human beings who possess emotions, moral perceptions, aspirations, memories and have established social relationships with others.

Zygotes and fetuses may be human but they are not yet capable of rational thought, they have no memories, no aspirations, no emotional attachments and no individual identity. They haven't yet taken a place in society.

If self-styled conservatives who take such a hard line on abortion were moral purists who were equally opposed to the taking of all life, they would at least have credibility. But the reality is that they are moral poseurs with a political axe to grind, and most Americans somehow grasp that. And that is why gas prices are of more concern to the broader public than abortion.

So to Donna Brazile Gas prices are more of a priority than Abortion. I’m pretty sure that going to offend people on both sides of the Aisle.

I'm pretty sure most people would agree, actually. I'm sorry your pet issue isn't the biggest thing on people's minds right now, but you're going to have to accept it.

Obamas Tax Revolution

The progressive tax system will finally come back into play under Obama. We will soak the rich and finally fulfill the fact that Democracy is the road to socialism.
Let the ruling classes tremble at the Democratic revolution. The people have nothing to lose, but their chains. .Workers of the Unites States unite!

"The citizens of this nation don’t give a hoot about Abortion. The citizens want to know what Obama will do about getting our gas prices down and what he will do to stabilize the economy."

What will Obama do?

Don't tell me to go to his website. I want to know what you know. If you know in detail, or are you just regurgitating talking points again?

Mags,

Citizens of this nation don't give a hoot about abortion? Really?

So if we made abortion illegal, there'd be no opposition?

And Blitzer is a republican?

Wow. Things are looking up!

peace, neocon
