From Our Cold, Dead Hands The Contrast Between Democrats and Republicans

The Sewers of San Francisco

June 27th, 2008 at 01:37am Mark Noonan

Seems that the good people of San Francisco, in a bid to remain on the cutting edge of what passes for humor on the left, want to name a new sewage treatment plant after President Bush. A reader over at NRO’s The Corner answers the suggestion:

That’s perfect. A facility that does a dirty but necessary job that disgusts the liberals who played a big part in creating the mess (see Rich Lowry’s book, Legacy: Paying the Price for the Clinton Years), thereby protecting them in spite of themselves, should absolutely be named after Bush.

The liberals don’t get it - all their insults, hatred and lies do absolutely nothing to President Bush. He’s got the thickest skin in politics and given that he’s a Christian, he’s probably going to pray for the people who want to do this. What kind of nastiness must a person have invited into their life to think that this is a good thing to do?

Pity these poor creatures - they become a sadder spectacle all the time.

    Well, it IS funny.

Would it be OK if we changed our towns waste plant name to the “Obama chocolate soup factory”?

Or the dump to the “Democrat Idea Repository”?

We have a small candy shop, I wonder if the “Barney Frank Fudge Packing Company” would be OK?

    Fair is fair.

Now Kahn, you know that no lib ever seems to think reminding them of how much their leaders are jokes is fair, or fun.

But, hey, love the name for the dump.

    *Chuckles*

I’m with the NRO reader that fits quite well and I bet Bush would even show up for the opening (or reopening) if given the chance.

Honestly this is deffinetly one of those “Sticks and Stones” moments. He’s been called everything under the sun, do folks really think he CARES what they think of him?

Nameing sewage treatment plants after democrats would not really work. Like the quote from NRO’s The Corner stated, a sewage treatment plants takes someone elses mess and cleans it up to where it can either be reused or made less harmful to the general public. Unlike the Republicans, the democrats in charge can only make messes, not clean them up.

    Gozer,

He should show up - heck, make it a GOP fundraiser!

And, also, where the heck have you been?

Why is San Francisco selling itself out? george deserves NOTHING. and besides george is not a Christian, he is a fundamentalist. Christians would not do 90 percent of the things that george has done. (Shredded the constitution, spy on citizens for no reason, start a useless pointless george war, attempt to rule the United States in a bid for a third term, and name activist supreme court judges who give guns to the criminals for starters.) Christians are interested in spreading the gospel, not creating Theocracies like Fundies are. Fundies want to make the United States a Theocracy.

Man, Mag Ser get over the BDS already. You can’t even take jokes anymore.

    Magnum Stupidity…

THere is some useless crap for the plant to process.

MS your bullsh*t isn’t fit for fertilizer.

Damn, man, can’t you think for yourself.

Supreme Court gives guns to criminals? - this is the latest liberal talking point? Ever heard of the 2nd amendment, moron?

Well what have they been using before? Stone knives?

Well we all know that Magnum Stupidity is another one of the lemmings in the Obama camp that will be highly disappointed come November in one way or another.

Just curious, and I’m not trying to make light of what could be a serious situation, but have any of the other long-time posters here noticed a degradation in MS’s posts. I’ve never agreed with him/her, but, if you go back and look at old posts in the archives, they were at least somewhat coherent and contained a modicum of original thought. I’m just wondering if he/she is experiencing some sort of medical problem, maybe autism or a brain tumor or maybe MS (now that would be a cruel irony). Or perhaps it’s as simple as someone else posting under MS’s name.

    Agreed RS,

I’ve noticed that he’s good for about one paragraph of talking point BS. Once he’s faced with rebuttles. He tends to shy away.

I believe that many of the liberal posters here are actually committees. No one person could be so consistently stupid.

I don’t know Kahn, I live in Oregon half the year and hear most of this nonsense from people who you would think would have more sense then this.
