What America Needs Real Men Vote for McCain

Obama’s Missing History

July 18th, 2008 at 10:45am Mark Noonan

From NRO’s The Campaign Spot:

From the Chicago Sun-Times article on grants distributed by then-state-legislator Barack Obama.

(Records from 1997 to 2000 weren’t available.)

There’s a shock.

His state legislative office records may have been thrown out, he told us.

He’s never released a specific list of law clients, instead giving a list of all of his firm’s clients, numbering several hundred each year. His campaign will only confirm representation when the media comes to them with a specific case.

He won’t release his application to the state bar. He’s never released any legal or billing records to verify that he only did a few hours of work for a nonprofit tied to Tony Rezko.

He’s never released any medical records, just a one-page letter from his doctor.

Does it bother anyone that a guy with political ambitions for his entire adult life has not left a paper trail?

It does bother me…what is Obama hiding? The “Un-Named Democrat” made flesh, that is what he is - the problem is that we don’t need an International Man of Mystery as President of the United States…especially one connected with racists, anti-Americans, corrupt wheeler-dealers and the odd terrorist or two.

Mark - It doesn’t matter what Obama’s past is. He is the Democrat nominee, and the Democrats are going to vote for him, no matter what.

They would vote for Osama Bin Laden if he ran as a Democrat.

They are so consumed with Bush Derangement Syndrome, that they are no longer able to think for themselves. They simply believe whatever they are spoonfed by Soros and MoveOn.

I see this as a non-issue. Who cares about missing history. just another attack point.

meanwhile, citizens are more concerned with the economy and the disastrous george war in iraq, than in the history of Obama.

Paper trail. Strange, the republic party is all saying its good that judicial activist Chief Justice John Glover Roberts had no paper trail. So I guess republics are not suppose to have a paper trail, but Democratics are?

republics seem to demand the life history of Democratics but if Democratics want the history of republics, the republics say its ok to ignore summonses and court orders demanding such.

Why would he want to release documented cocaine use and other addictions in his medical records and legal representation of terrorists?
And MS, I thought the DemRoaches made a big deal about whether John Roberts ever even walked by a conservative club in college. You know the clean living Kennedy, Pelosi, Schumer, Reid DemRoaches.

A “george war”? Either a bit of BDS slipping out, or a poor attempt at humor.

Is this all you’ve got? Literally, nothing at all?

Mark, you’re not addressing eight-year-olds. Real American adults can think for themselves, and they see right through your feeble and misguided attempts to promote the Republican and/or neo-con agenda.

And how much did you really know about Bush in 2000? Do you think if his father had not been a one term president that he would have ever been governor of Texas? Not that any of this matters but I wonder if it is okay to smear a Liberal candidate with even the most trivial of allusions as this one is would it be equally fine to wish America ill if McCain becomes president?

What is really the point of all of this other than exercising the opinions that are your right?

Does anyone that comments here really see the GOP even holding its own in Congress?

I have asked my research department to seek out those 1997 to 2000 grants just so we can see what sort of evil Barack Hussein Obama was up to in those days.

“His state legislative office records may have been thrown out, he told us.”

    White House emails anyone?

“He’s never released a specific list of law clients, instead giving a list of all of his firm’s clients, numbering several hundred each year. His campaign will only confirm representation when the media comes to them with a specific case.”

I believe it is up to the firm, not Obama, to release records about law clients and there is that little thingy about Attorney-Client privilege.

Why would you want to see his BAR application?

Medical Records should be released by Obama and McCain. McCain sort of released his to a few people from the media but they only had 3 hours to look through 400 pages which some say are incomplete.

  • 18. SEW  |  July 18th, 2008 at 2:35 pm

Hey, state senators have executive privilige? BO states he can part the water and walk on it, and he granted himself his own Presidential seal, but I thought Executive privilige applied only to the office of President of the United States, and that would be George W. Bush.

“Why would you want to see his BAR application?” Hey

To see what is on it. The Dimwits wanted to know if John Roberts ever walked past a conservative college organization, and interrogated him over such absurdities. Hussein is running for POTUS, American citizens need to know who he is.

  • 19. yekepyt  |  July 18th, 2008 at 2:37 pm

    Hi Mark,

I don’t need to see his law firm clients or his application to the state bar, no. I am not at all alarmed by the fact that he hasn’t released them to the swift-boating sharks in the mainstream media and blogosphere.

How do you feel about the missing emails from the Bush White House? Are you concerned that we are living with the most secretive administration in history? Oh, no, wait a minute — you write in blogs that that actively promote and advocate for this type of super-secret administration, and blow smoke about national security and executive privilege, while at the same time criticizing Barack Obama for not releasing — what — his list of clients when he worked at a law firm?

The bigger story here is how the right wing will grasp at any straw, no matter how small and feeble, to promote Baracknophobia (I heard this term credited to Jon Stewart). Remember the “terrorist fist bump” reported by FOX News? Or the mysterious missing videotape of Michelle Obama that “some people” claim to have seen?

News flash: people aren’t falling for it.

Your posts sound desperate. Desperate and sad.

  • 20. yekepyt  |  July 18th, 2008 at 2:45 pm

Also, Mark, Obama has more important things to do than respond to some accusation or demands made by some scrappy blogger with an audience measured in the hundreds.

I would be surprised if this type of screeching “demand for the release of certain documents” ever makes it past the third-level screeners whose job it is to weed through all of Obama’s inbound communications and decide what is worthy of his campaign’s attention.

Given this, it’s quite a leap to characterize his behavior as “concealing” or “hiding” anything at all. This is the type of leap we see from you all the time, however… it’s a (very much failed) attempt to selectively manipulate facts and opinion, cherry picking end editing in order to weave together bizarre and convoluted conclusions that are in no way supportable in reality.

    Magnum Stupidity, ever obedient lemming,

“I see this as a non-issue. Who cares about missing history. ”

Wow, I seem to remember liberals obsessed with Bush’s missing history of his National Guard service. So obsessed, they were faking documents for “proof” of his missing history - remember a certain “journalist” was fired for it.

I see Barak Hussein Obama is taking a lesson from Hillary’s Rose Law Firm’s billing records.

Or, corrupted hard drives in the White House concrening over 900 FBI files on individuals in high or sensitive positions in government.

As expected the rest of the lemmings are out in force. Defending their messiah on the same identical issues that were concerns on non-liberal candidates.

National Guard Service records is one thing but a BAR application? Bit of a stretch…Why don’t you ask for his BAR exam to make sure he passed. A BAR application?

“To see what is on it. The Dimwits wanted to know if John Roberts ever walked past a conservative college organization, and interrogated him over such absurdities. Hussein is running for POTUS, American citizens need to know who he is.”

    It is absurd.

None of this would put me off of Obama but I just read a rumor elsewhere that would: Colin Powell as his running-mate.

I’d have to advocate the McKinney-Barr or Barr-McKinney unification ticket in that case.

Down here the name “Colin Powell” is NEVER SPOKEN. It’s like this phrase: Never speak of rope in the hanged-man’s home.

If he ever came here on some State visit or something, it would be like I don’t even know…Rommel making a triumphant return to Ethiopia or something.

    Cambodia welcomes Pol Pot!

Wowee Zowee. Boy if he is Obama or McCain’s winning VP and he shows up here, it would be some spectacle. He couldn’t. There’s a limit to how many foreign soldiers are allow to de-bark and the amount necessary to protect him goes over the limit by a factor of 5000. There would be a huge black-market in rocks, bricks, bottles, dog-mess slingshots…I’d almost LIKE to see it.

Tick, Tick, Tick; distractions and swift-boating personal attacks will not keep the electorate from finishing what they started in 06.

We know what Mark and the cons are up too. They are hoping to find something to scare the “good folks”; like he defended a Black Panther or gang member. The next day Hannity and Limbaugh will be spouting off that Obama hangs with thugs. Makes as much sense as saying F.Lee Bailey because he defends murderers he hangs with them on a regular basis.

Let’s keep to the issues. Bush sent a representative to talks with Iran. Would McCain consider this to be appeasement as well?

Lots of horrible things happened to McCain in those five and a half years…thing is, over human history the general result of cruel, unjust imprisonment has been a strengthening of the character of the sufferer. If anything, McCain’s time in the hole is a credit to his overall Presidential abilities…he knows what it is like to have absolutely nothing and be absolutely at the mercy of others.

    Cavalor,

Bush wasn’t my first choice in 2000; McCain was - for a lot of the same reasons he is this year; he’s more experienced in the the crucial aspects…President Bush rose to the challenge, and he has been a far better President than the dishonest and ignorant Gore would have been…but McCain was my man in 2000, and he is again in 2008.

  • 33. David B. Schmidt  |  July 18th, 2008 at 7:24 pm

This is not only amazing but explains a great deal about the mindset of liberal folks. Twice now, the MSM has dragged McCain across the coals about whether or not he was eligible to even run for POTUS and yet Obama won’t even present a valid birth certificate.

We were promised records from Clinton, Kerry and every other candidate yet none have ever appeared. Since I mentioned Kerry and I have read a couple of entries about “swift boating” – Has anyone collected the Million USD dollars for proving any one of their statements false? Didn’t think so – therefore, swift-boating must mean telling the truth about a F*&King coward.

When I got my first clearance for a crappy job with a low-level government office and again with the military—they sent people to interview my neighbors, stopped by every job I have had since a paper route and did whatever it took to not only know what I had for breakfast—but my dog too (Yes, Toto) but you are giving this nothing of an empty suit a pass—the dumbing down of America is almost complete.

What will make you idiots understand is that Obama gets elected and the misery index returns. 19% home loan rates, 30% credit card rates, double digit inflation, double digit unemployment (for you “critical thinkers” I hope).

What that means for the most part—at least for those that post here with a liberal point of view (exception: Rana), including all of you that pose as “ultra-rich” but don’t know jack about the basics. It will come down to your mommy will lose the house and you will have to leave the basement and possibly get a real job and might learn a thing or two.

At this point—there are a lot of things I would not wish on my worse enemy—let alone a friend—but this might be exactly what this country needs to deal the death blow to the far-left. Later we can work on the far-right. It’s only four years not counting a revolt of the American populace after $10/gal (tax my way out of this Obama) gas and the like.

BTW, something as simple as the change in seats during the 2006 election cycle demonstrates you have no concept as it was under average for a second-term mid-term election. In small words—the Republicans did better than normal.

Tee-shirts comming soon: “Bring back the Misery Index — Obama 08″

The whole swiftboating of Kerry was simply a way for Republicans to raise doubt regardless if the accusations were true. Official Navy Records contradict the negative things that were said about Kerry. The funny thing is a few of the swiftboaters actually praised Kerry for his commendations. Alot of them didn’t serve WITH Kerry. Kerry has released his records. He signed the form 180(2005, I think) and it corroborates his version of the story. Very sad that so many HATE Kerry based on false information.

    ohh

Kerry, was, is a fake, and a treasonous liar.

He rode on a freeking boat for less than four months.
he got 3 band aid wounds, that any respectable man would have laughed at.
Being the boat commander he put HIMSELF up for the “scratch” Purple Hearts, knowing after 3 he could run out on his men, duty, and command, which he did.
He then aligned him self up with the left ,and told wild tales of burning, looting, pillaging, all in less than four months on a freeking boat.

That A$$ H@!e would have gotten his second Heart, which would have been real, if he pulled that in our outfit.
Cowards like him got “fragged” at least then he could have a real excuse to cut and run home.

No good - a lie, to be a lie, must be a knowing misrepresentation. The only person we know of in Kerry’s life who has lied vis a vis anything Kerry has done is, well, John Kerry…when he lied to Congress about what our soldiers were doing in Vietnam. This is like the only known lies about Plamegate are those told by Plame and Wilson.

What liberals fail to see is that scrutinizing someone’s history for the office of the president is similar to a job interview.

A potential employer is going to scrutinize a potential employee’s work history and other characteristics to determine if that person is best for the job. If an interview candidate is evasive and untruthful then it is highly unlikely that the candidate will be hired.

Same goes for the highest office in the land. Liberals scrutinized Bush a much as they could and questioned “missing history”- now, according to those same liberals “history doesn’t matter”. We saw this in the ‘92 election with Clinton, the same with Gore and Kerry.

Why are liberals afraid of their past?

Obamamaniacs are claiming that Obama’s past doesn’t matter.

You want someone you know nothing about, other than what he has claimed to be and projected to be by the MSM; and you want him to hold the most powerful office on the face of the earth?

If you had a candidate for police chief in your town and all he could show was that he was on a neighborhood watch committee and you couldn’t find any documentation on what he did with that group, would you be content with his claims that his judgement was more than enough to be qualified for the job?

Obama is not just an ‘Empty Suit Candidate’…he is now the ‘Cypher Candidate’.

    yek,

Despite your sensationalistic propaganda designed to deceive, this is the most scrutinized and investigated administration ever.

    That’s just a fact.

Your omission of that fact simply exposes you for the partisan whack job, and indoctrinated lemming that all us know you to be. Secondly, your support for Obama’s neglect to reveal his past records underscores your hypocrisy.

    have a nice day

Oh, to hear the Bush/McCain crowd speak of deception, hypocrisy and secrecy… self-parody at its finest.

    Chuck,

Thank you demonstrating a complete mindless allegiance to propaganda.

I do hope that McCains victory will expose liberals like yourself and yek for the divisive, partisan, sophmoric, mindless whack jobs that you are. Redford stated that a loss by Obama will be end of the DNC.

That alone is reason enough to support McCain.

    have a delusionally partisan day

How does any of this have anything to do with this election?

Everyone already knows that Barack Obama is black and if you’ve ever read a thing written by Kevin Phillips you know that ethnicity and how you feel about your class and ethnic status is what drives your inclination to vote.

That said I repeat everyone knows that Barack Obama is a black man. I would add that he is better educated than all of you white guys that comment here, he has more money and committment to the American people and a better looking family. He also has never been divorced and his kids are his own. Now let’s talk about some missing history about Mccain and this is on topic. How about how McCain treated his forst wife? I would like to hear the presumptive nominee explain to women of a certain age how they should be abandined when they become ill by their husbands who want someone younger, tighter and wealthier.

How does this square with your “always right” Catholic worldview Mark Noonan? Are politics more important than values? Oh that’s right it’s the abortion thing so adultery by McCain and violation of your view that marriage is for life and divorce is a sin is trumped by Obama;s political stance of agreeing with a woman’s right to choose to terminate the life of her fetus?

Square that circle while I go make a Morey Amsterdam sandwich.

So you’re lying right now, then. After all, the evidence that the Swift Boat Liars, you know, lied (as well as the evidence that your bizarro-world story about Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame is pretty much the exact opposite of the truth) has been presented to you countless times. You can’t pretend to not know it; you can (and do) pretend it doesn’t exist. Which would make you a liar.

Really, you should stop trying to parse things so much. You clearly don’t know what you’re doing, and it only makes it worse for you.

Barack is black? I thought he was half white; mulatto if you will.

And according to some Kevin Phillips, people vote along ethnic lines and class status?

Maybe liberals do, but I vote for policy positions, period.

Good to know what you consider to be a qualified candidate though Frederick. If Tara Banks were running, I suppose you’d vote for her too, right? Afterall she is good looking, smart and has a lot of money.

    Banks for President!!!

ya know…instead of issues…i would pursue an different course of action…based on the corruption of political parties and demonstrated by facts based in both the truth and history…that the person we need in the white house should be neither a republican or a demoncrat…but an honest man that we can trust….unlike our long record of electing corrupt officials resulting is terminations and resignations from the republican party, which is more apt to be honest…than the demoncrat party…whose corrupt members have become a party unto themselves….because when they get caught…instead of resign…they pull together like a pack of thieves to keep thier corrupt membership intact….

so a simple, honest man that knows the value of the truth…and the courage to use it…is what we need…
