McCain LEADS Obama in Gallup Daily Poll

August 26th, 2008 at 05:39pm Matt Margolis

Gallup’s daily tracking poll says it’s official, no bounce for Barack Obama after his selection of Joe Biden. In fact, McCain now leads in the daily tracking poll for the first time since Obama clinched the Democratic nomination.

What does is mean? I think it’s obvious that Barack Obama’s best days are behind him, and now that the election is even closer, people are beginning to realize that they need to elect a leader, not a slogan.

This country may in fact still lack the maturity and courage to elect an African American, or anyone other than a white male.

Race? Yes, it is about that.

Polls consistently show that Obama’s “leftist” views are the mainstream of America, while that neocon buffoon McSame is just more of “Mr. 28% Decider-Commander-Guy” rocks for brains Bush.

If I were a Republican I would be embarrassed that Lincoln’s party that gave us Dwight Eisenhower now has produced corruption poster-boy Tom Delay and defend an idiot like “W” Bush.

They now run another elitist white-boy who still thinks Czechoslovakia exists and cannot see the difference between Sunni and Shiite Muslims.

    Sad……really sad…

Operation Chaos is alive and well! Bambi can’t even unite the far left liberals. much less the middle, the left and conservatives. Liberals, evenClinton supporters, have seen enough of this empty suit. But he will unite both sides and be President of the world! What a joke he and his cultist followers are. All a disgrace to America.

Gloat all you wish if you manage to put another warmongering tool of the oil companies in the White House, but the House and Senate will remain firmly in the hands of Democrats.

And nothing you do will change that.

    LiberalNoMind,

Uh, would you care to cite the “polls” of which you speak? Links to polls is preferred, otherwise you are full of it.

The same people give the leftist Congress an even lower rating than Bush - so which poll is correct?

Polls show that Americans are not “leftist” when it comes to common sense issues, such as drilling for oil in our own areas. While the leftist politicians such as Obama constantly show that they are out of touch as to what Americans want.

    Damn those details!

I am of two minds on current polls. I think there are many people who will not admit to pollsters that they won’t vote for Obama because they do not want to appear to be racist. I also think that many of them are probably not racist.

I also know for a fact that there is a tremendous movement underway to register young people whom polls suggest are 2-1 in favor of Obama. Those people do not have land lines and are not reached by conventional polls.

I think the first factor causes Obama’s support to be overstated, and the second causes it to be understated. Bottom line, I don’t think current polls can be trusted until these two realities are factored in.

It’s amazing now polls can’t be trusted, but if Obama is ahead is they dead on. Face it Dems your going to beat and your going to get beat badly. Take it like a man.

    New Conservative:

Oh, like you (DID NOT) beat the Democrats in 2000?

Right, like more people voted for Gore than Mr. Mission Accomplished?

Or in 2004 when we had numerous “terrorist” alerts right before the election and suspiciously none after?

And you only eeked out a victory in Ohio of 60,000 votes.

BTW, the Congressional rating INCLUDES the dead-ender Republicans who obstruct legislation with their filibuster tantrums.

You know how to use “the google”?

    Do your own homework.

Maybe now that Saint McCain is the coronated front runner, the media will start to ask where is his plan for the country. How is it similar to Bush’s plan? I would settle for just which house do you spend the most time in and why?

  • 10. neil  |  August 26th, 2008 at 7:52 pm

My bet is that this election will not be near as close as the last two. I believe that McCain will easily win the needed electoral votes to win. Probably have 300 or more.

  • 11. navydad  |  August 26th, 2008 at 7:57 pm

Isn’t it odd how the libs continuously claim Republican’s are stupid, etc. and then we’ve beat them in how many elections…and especially by a so-called dumbass like GWB no less?

I guess this makes the left dumber than GWB.

“And you only eeked out a victory in Ohio of 60,000 votes”

A win is a win dumbass, and if your party wins in Nov., you won’t hear conservatives whinning over numbers….just issues.

“Isn’t it odd how the libs continuously claim Republican’s are stupid, etc. and then we’ve beat them in how many elections”

The answer is there are more stupid republicans than intelligent anyone else, the problem is we don’t breed like rabbits like you brain washed idiots

    LiberalNoMind,

You always make assinine claims. I always ask for links. You always provide links to nowhere or “do your homework”.

So, you are batting 1000 in the zero-credibility issue.

IQ42, here is one of leaders of the Democrat party……

Pelosi to protesters…”Can we drill your brains?”

Obama does not know what city he is in……

IQ42, you and your “leaders” are truly pathetic…. minds think alike, eh?

I do not see any good coming from this election. If Obama is elected we will probably have a republic party in control of Congress and the republics will obstruct obstruct obstruct. That may be the good thing, I do not see Obama as a strong leader, if he even is a leader. And I wonder why Mark has said nothing about the Lawsuit to challenge Obama’s citizenship.

If McCain is elected then women will loose a great many rights. But then, I do not see an economic plan that goes beyond helping the top 5 percent of the nation. McCain will just be a mouth for george who has still not shown any signs that he is getting ready to move back to Crawford. In comparison, President Ronald Reagan was living in California on August 26 1988, President William Clinton had bought a home and was preparing to move into it on this date in August 26 2000. but george. george seems to think he will be president for life. He has not shown one sign of packing anything at all.

So therefore if we elect Obama we will sink lower and maybe even experience a real depression. If we elect McCain we will have no difference in the failed policies of george. george will still be in the white house maybe he will let McCain live in the basement of the White House? Oh wait, maybe McCain will live in one of his seven homes? maybe McCain will do what President John Kennedy did and refuse to be paid for being President. After all, John McCain has over 100 million dollars to his name. McCain should refuse his pay too

  • 15. Kahn  |  August 26th, 2008 at 10:19 pm

Thrower - my 18 year old Eagle Scout took my McCain sticker and put it on his Mustang. Now I’ve got to get another one.

  • 16. Thrower  |  August 26th, 2008 at 11:01 pm

Props to your son Kahn. He sounds like a great kid and my son’s vote will offset his.

    Deleted - slanders.

The Democrats are holding their convention. They are making grand feel good speeches. Meanwhile, the opposition party candidate is gaining in the polls.

    How can this be?

The Democrats are not exuding confidence to the voter and people are reconsidering their positions since the beginning of the summer. They see politics as usual from a candidate who presented a campaign IMAGE of a “not Washington insider”.

The Leftist Democrats have assumed once too many that the average voter is stupid.

  • 19. MattM  |  August 27th, 2008 at 1:08 pm

Please explain to me what was slanderous? I can back up everything I said.

    Be specific.

  • 20. New Conservative  |  August 27th, 2008 at 1:58 pm

If you get the chance please go vote in my VP polls.

“They see politics as usual from a candidate who presented a campaign IMAGE of a “not Washington insider”.”

So wait Danish Artist - I thought Obama didn’t have enough experience? So which is it? He can’t be both too inexperienced to be president but still have so much experience that he’s a Washington insider.
