Four Days of Smear, and We Still Love Her McCain ad: Palin more qualified than Obama

RNC Day Three Open Thread

September 3rd, 2008 at 08:54am Mark Noonan

The next Vice President of the United States gives her acceptance speech tonight. What does she need to say to answer her critics and keep up the new energy in the GOP?

Will leftwing nastiness play a role in their defeat this November?

When listening to lefties, does anyone besides me get the mental impression of a slavering fanatic entirely unhinged from reality?

Discuss amongst yourselves.

The high-pitching squealing about sexism has started fast - Hillary took about 6 months to get there. Now it’s confirmed the vetting team only met with Palin last Wednesday, that she was all for pork and earmarks and the Bridge to Nowhere before she was against it, etc. They won’t even let her talk to the press she’s so “experienced”. So tonight we’ll hear what the campaign wants us to think, and over the next weeks we’ll find out the reality.

Slavering fanatics entirely unhinged from reality? Is this a reference to the Connecticut Delegates that were attacked as they were walking to the Republican National Convention last Monday? Where Ant-War chants turned into a spitting/shoving match with some of the Delegates being sprayed down with a mixture of bleach and water.

Welcome to the new face of the democRAT party?

Welcome to the new face of the democRAT party?

Actually, Ken, it’s nothing new. The Donks have had a virtual corner on this kind of behavior since the late 60’s. Kind makes you wonder what kind of person would identify with the Democrat Party at this point.

    Well look at Drudge.

    Still attacking her family? Great.

The “reality” here is we now have McCain’s first executive decision and we now know he only met Palin twice, his vetting team had their only meeting with her on Wednesday, he threw Bristol out to the press to deal with internet rumors about Mom (classy), and then of course freaked out when anybody discussed it, he touts her as a “reformer” (of the GOP) when within days the truth of her attachment to earmarks and pork is leaking out and as everybody continues to dig in to find out who Palin is, it totally screws her roll out and the coverage of the convention. And now we have the whining about “sexism!” and that nasty press (that McCain had in his pocket until he pulled this), even chickening out of an interview with the hard-hitting muckracker Larry King for God sakes… Well done.

This isn’t even about Palin, it’s a window into McCain’s executive style, and not only are we unimpressed, we’re shocked at the incompetence of it. She’ll obviously enthuse the base, but that was always the call McCain was going to need to make - swing over to the religious wing, or swing over to the independents and actual conservatives. He’s now made his choice and he has to live with it. He can’t even dump her - it would be a catastrophe…

Now apparently they’re dragging the poor kid who fathered this Palin girl’s baby into the convention?! Good Lord… What a train wreck…

If this were the Obama’s y’all would be handling it just the same. Right? Yeah, right…

Fox has a story that claims they started the vetting process six months ago. Given the extraordinary amount of effort the MMS and Dems are giving to discrediting her one is left to assume they are desperate to get rid her before the public gets acquainted with her. From journalistic concerns that are blatantly sexist that she may be taking on more than she can handle as VP to be a good mother to her youngest child being her daughters. The claims are almost as numerous as they are laughable. Still, with much resistance the left must fear this woman’s success.

Right rightlane. You missed the entire point (but keep repeating it and maybe you’ll get that pony!).

The problem is McCain’s judgment. Not Palin’s celebrity status.

“Will leftwing nastiness play a role in their defeat this November?”

    Of course it will.

Obama has nothing to run on, so his campaign is left with nothing but nastiness and hatemongering. Think about it………”McCain would be a third term for Bush” is the only talking point they had before Palin was added to the ticket. Now, all they can do is attack Palins family, and call her inexperienced (which is laughable when considering Obamas lack of experience).

The people of this country are going become more and more disenfranchised with Obama because of the nastiness coming from his campaign. He knows this, and is trying to (at least appear to be) putting a stop to it.

Slavering fanatics entirely unhinged from reality?

You don’t read many other right-wing blogs do you?

Didn’t know Obama is directly responsible for the death of Donald Young and that they were once homosexual lovers? That Obama has had numerous people murdered and is into smoking crack cocaine whilst engaging in homosexual sex?

The list goes on but somehow it is the left who is unhinged?

  • 11. bongoman  |  September 3rd, 2008 at 5:21 pm

Oh and the hatred!! Why can’t they stop ‘attacking’ Bristol - children are off limits!!

Did you hear the one about Chelsea Clinton, courtesy of John McCain in the last campaign:

“Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?
Because her father is Janet Reno.”

    Hilarious!! What a maverick!

“and is into smoking crack cocaine”

    If the shoe fits…

    If the shoe fits…

One slavering fanatic unhinged from reality steps forward to prove my point. Thanks Rich.

Bongoman- are you saying Obama never smoked crack? Please tell me thats what you are saying.
P.S. He even admits to purchasing heroin but claims he never used it. Just like Clinton did not inhale, and did not have sex with that woman, Monica.
