Obama Admits He Was Wrong About the Surge Obama’s Desperation Over Palin Revealed

What Media Bias? Part 125

September 5th, 2008 at 02:45pm Mark Noonan

Oprah, Oprah, Oprah…what are you afraid of?

Oprah Winfrey may have introduced Democrat Barack Obama to the women of America — but the talkshow queen is not rushing to embrace the first woman on a Republican presidential ticket!

Oprah’s staff is sharply divided on the merits of booking Sarah Palin, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

“Half of her staff really wants Sarah Palin on,” an insider explains. “Oprah’s website is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama.”

One executive close to Winfrey is warning any Palin ban could ignite a dramatic backlash!

It is not clear if Oprah has softened her position after watching Palin’s historic convention speech.

OPRAH’S STATEMENT: “The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”(Emphasis added)

It’s your show, Oprah, and you get to choose who shall or shall not be on it - but someone like Palin who is both interesting and important, to block her because of a narrow-minded partisanship for your own personal preference? Really weak, Oprah, really weak.

That’s awesome news for Palin and the Republicans. The good news just keeps getting better. Women and men in America will be able to make the correct interpretation here. Not only good for McCain/Palin and America, it will be very bad for Oprah! Thanks to another political hack!

What a load of utter twaddle.

She’s happy to have Palin on her show after the campaign is over. Somehow you’ve managed to twist that into “She doesn’t want her on the show”. She probably doesn’t want ANYONE in politics on her show before the election to stop one party or the other accusing her of being a partisan hack by giving a lot of publicity to one side but not the other. She’s heading that off at the pass.

But then, that’s never mattered to you guys, and I see the term “partisan hack” has already appeared. Wouldn’t be hearing that if Palin had appeared and done well, would we?

Oprah has ZERO credibility. There has been no discussion of her appearance????????

    NONE???

She probably doesn’t want ANYONE in politics on her show before the election…..Arctic Fox

Except of course Obama who was given the full hour a few months back. You’re a hack just like Oprah.

I wonder if liberals ever tire of being dishonest two faced hacks?

    Just curious

    Neo,

Cruise by The Huffingsome Post sometime and you’ll be sickened by the hate, lies and venom.

Like I mentioned in another post. Pressure needs to be put on Oprah. She will lose a lot of viewers over this. When she finally gives in, Palin will have a scheduling conflict. Oh so sorry can’t make it.

Yet another Palin distraction thread. She is a nice lady. Repugs should not buy any products advertised on Oprah. Maybe Oprah can get McCain on the show to discuss his heath care plan. I know the American people would love that.

  • 9. neocon  |  September 5th, 2008 at 4:17 pm

    Timestar,

McCain’s health care plan works for everyone that currently is covered, works very well for small business owners and also works well for those choosing medical savings accounts.

It doesn’t work well for those hoping to suck off of the government teat.

Incidentally, the State of AZ has an awesome public health system called ACCESS, wherein low income people are fully covered….no charge. It’s a great program.

    Your education continues Timestar.

    navy,

I seldom drift by the bitch Ariannas site or the KOS, and when I do, I have to lock up my guns.

“. Maybe Oprah can get McCain on the show to discuss his heath care plan.” timewarp

Just look to Michelle Obama, $316,000 hospital salary at a nonprofit, charges uninsured minorities 350% the rate of those with insurance. Now that is really lowering the cost of medical care! Her salary was a $200,000+ increase, but Barry quickly sent federal handouts to the hospital.

Change you can believe in. MSM you can depend on to hide the liberal agenda.

Why hasn’t Rush Limbaugh had Hillary Clinton or Obama on his show? He could easily set up the show to where they could come on and talk with him.

Wonder if Oprah’s reason for not inviting Palin is that Palin is under investigation for ethics violations by her own political party? Might be.

  • 14. JS  |  September 5th, 2008 at 6:36 pm

isnt oprah a nick name for jesse?

i get confused here…is it only about race or is it equal opportunity, fairness, truth, justice, liberty…

    ya…it is…jesse

  • 15. neocon  |  September 5th, 2008 at 7:18 pm

Keep leaning on that faux ethics violation Mags. it will wipe the tears away in November when you lose.

“At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates.”

So who the hell is sitting on the couch next to you (on your show)? An Obama look alike?

Oprah made her money off of white women. Now she has spurned them. She is a typical racist.

Sarah Palin seems to be drawing big crowds, who needs Oprah’s show, it sucks anyway.

I don’t know if it is racism, it seems like the entire Hollywood scene is backing Obama bin Biden.

  • 20. keystoneRepublican  |  September 5th, 2008 at 11:43 pm

I haven’t watched Oprah’s show in years. I’ve always thought she was a bigot. Now everyone else finally sees it.
