Whoopi Goldberg: Strong (Conservative) Women Are Dangerous…
September 6th, 2008 at 01:09am Leo Pusateri
The nomination of Sarah Palin as Sen. John McCain’s Vice Presidential nominee has set the cause of feminism back 100 years.
You read right. The feminists are so flummoxed and perplexed that a conservative woman is stealing their thunder, that they’ve resorted to denying their feminist doctrine!
Take Whoopi Goldberg, for instance:
Whoopi’s article concluded by suggesting Gov. Palin’s speech reminded her of a German-American Nazi rally: “This girl is dangerous to me. This is a very dangerous woman, because I believe for her intents and purposes, she’s OK if everybody lives a certain way, that is to say, the way God ordained men and women to be. Well, already she’s breaking that because she’s the daddy. She’s going to run the country and the husband is going to take care of the kids. I just found the whole thing sad and very musty and very much like a Bund rally, but maybe that was just me.”
Yes, Whoopi, I think it is just you. But I digress.
So Whoopi has her panties in a knot (ooh… that evoked a nauseating picture) because a woman is living a feminist dream, and she’s a– gasp!! conservative!!! How dare a conservative woman attain the acme of an egalitarian’s dream! Dammit–she’s supposed to be home baking cookies!
Ohh… sweet irony!

Looks like the only way to get any respect from a liberal is to be one yourself. ::sarcasm alert:: If a Hollywierd Celebrity says it, it must be true. ::end sarcasm::
I really don’t look to the celebrity types for anything greater than entertainment.

Whoopi?
Really?
Does this really matter?
Senior officials from the Bush administration and the Federal Reserve on Friday called in top executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the mortgage finance giants, and told them that the government was preparing to place the two companies under federal control, officials and company executives briefed on the discussions said.
SO MUCH FOR THE FREE MARKET, BIATCHES……………

Obama08,
Well, I suppose it doesn’t really matter in the long-term. It is meant to be a jab at the celebrities that the Democrats so frequently rely upon to perpetuate their ideals. That Whoopi is forced into talking nonsensicle things about Palin in an attempt to disenfranchise women with her, I believe, shows her complete partisanship with the Liberals as well as their sheer lack of knowledge at the moment of what to do to her in retaliation.
And, indeed, the free market business does not bode well for Bush. This will only associate his plans with Obama’s, which may not sit well with the masses. How can Bush acheive change if what he’s doing now is just more of the same of Obama’s policies? Oh wait, Bush isn’t the one running, is he? Oh wait, Obama’s supposed to be the one for change, isn’t he? /sarcasm.
First-time poster here. Pleased to meet you all, and I hope I do not come across as too formal.

I guess not the libs have defined a non-dangerous and strong woman, one that is pro-choice and has nannies instead of her husband to take care of the children, while she furthers her career in politics.
Uh, wait………. sounds familiar….. can’t place her.
Did God ordain women to be like that? According to those like the likes of Whoopi and this woman and others like her, YES.
Feminism was set back 10 years ago, when a supervisor took sexual privileges from a known subordinate. According to feminists that was sexual harassment, even though concensual, because the supervisor had power over the subordinate (their definition) and they let him walk with no comment whatsoever.
Feminism now is only about choice and nothing else. The rest is BS and has been lost to them, unless the antagonist is non-liberal and pro-life.
Pathetic.
08ama, lemming obamaton, free market in mortgage lending has always been compremised since the liberals in Federal Government forced banks and mortgage companies to lend to individuals, even though they could not pay it out, out of “fairness”. This is indisputable. If FM wants a government bailout, then they have to abide by some rules, just like anything else.
“Fairness” and government control - more of the same from Obama, nothing new and certainly not change we can believe in.

you can only be a feminist if you are a liberal. you can only advance the black movement if you are a liberal as well.
a strong, hard working, intelligent woman who’s a conservative is really just a man and that’s too damn scary.
and a strong, hard working, intelligent man or woman who is black and a conservative is really just a sellout, uncle tom who’s done nothing to get where they are accept bow down to the white man.

Sarah Palin IS the emobodiment of feminism. She has brought home the bacon and fried it up in the pan, with much success and with the help of no one.
Soon she will be the most powerful woman in America.
They’re just jealous.
Obama08,
You really need to understand what a free and unfettered market is before you spout off. Many of those mortgages owned by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are FHA loans; government insured loans which were championed by Democrats. The government really has no choice but to step in and insure their own financial instruments.
Got it?

Bull should change his profile name to Bull sh*t.
I am a strong, hard working, intelligent woman who is a conservative, and last time I looked, I am definitely a woman.
Why are you scared of Governor Palin?
(Hey, neocon, do you live in AZ?)
9. JS | September 6th, 2008 at 10:25 am
if you really set aside the gender, palin has done far better than most politicians despite her gender…and its pretty hard to swollow a new arrival to the race by obamites after obama picked an entrenched DNC icon during his race to “change” america…tsk tsk…hypocricy is a part of the dark forces…as is the green eyed monster of jealousy…and they stand hand in hand with the father of all lies….

So true, JS.
I really liked Whoopi. I thought she was extremely funny and intelligent. Once I heard her say in an interview that we are all Americans and she didn’t like being called an African-American. I totally agree with that.
Has she ever said anything about Hillary? Pelosi? Nope.
You’re only a strong, confident, intelligent woman who can take care of her family and home and have a successful career if you have a (D) after your name.
I hope Elizabeth rips her a new one on Monday.

Funny thing is, OBAMA was the one in Berlin with the crowd chanting his name. And it was Obama in the the huge outdoor stadium with people chanting his name.

Obama going for his second term vs a true no holds bar Limbaugh ditto head wingut Palin in 2012 you be a great election. It would be a great barometer as to whether or not America wants no choice but abstinence only education, breaking the walls between church and state in public schools, less automatic gun laws, no stem cell research and a drill anywhere environmental policy that Palin champions. In other words an election involving a Clinton type Democrat vs. a Bush type Republican.
13. kimberly4victory | September 6th, 2008 at 10:54 am
Dream on, timestar. Now, I can see Obama trying again in 2012 and again in 2016.
Drill, drill, drill:

Excellent analogy, Kahn.

neocon,
Ah, it seems I got a little carried away. At that time I thought it was more prudent to try to point out the opportunity for connecting the event to Obama politics, and by proxy Obama to Bush (a move I’m sure any Liberal would exhaust all their energy to dispel) than to actually point out the facts of the situation. That is, after all, what radical leftists do, correct? I got carried away in trying to reflect that tactic back on them, I apologize. At any rate, the whole issue is off-topic to this article, so let’s drop it. Poor judgment on my part.

Observer,
I thought your point was good and did connect the Bush/Obama dots.
I was addressing Obama08.
16. Observer20 | September 6th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
neocon,
Oh, now I feel stupid. This is the last time I make a screenname with the first two letters being “OB” on a political blog…

Yeah real funny like grabbing her nasty crotch and referring to “Bush.”

Racism just oozes from every orifice of your body. You are a model of the 2008 Republican Party. Well done I say, well done.
A party that says they love America but yet hate more than half of the people in it.

Must give credit where credit is due.

I caught the fact you are a wingnut. Kim, navydad, neocon and the rest are always in hate the messenger attack mode. They always react before they think. Are you one of those rare cons that think before you attack?
22. kimberly4victory | September 6th, 2008 at 2:27 pm
My apologies to you, Bull. However, I am finding it more and more difficult to distinquish a sarcastic post from a Conservative and a post from a typical lefty. :-)

Racism has nothing to do with my assessment of her, any more than her statements against Bush, republicans etc are racist?
PS here is YOUR party………
