McCain Rapid Response to Latest Sexism Grow Up, Obama

Criminalizing Political Differences

September 10th, 2008 at 09:15am Mark Noonan

Little noted in all the hoopla surrounding Democratic smears of Governor Palin has been the rather insane intent of Obama/Biden to prosecute members of the Bush Administration should they win the White House - as noted by the editors of NRO:

So now we have Barack Obama’s plan for bringing the nation together after the election: If he gets his hands on the Department of Justice, Obama will use that power to prosecute his political opponents…

…The Democrats’ vice-presidential nominee, Joe Biden, was caught the other day assuring the party faithful that an Obama administration “will not be stopped from pursuing any criminal offence” committed by Bush administration officials. He was simply echoing the party’s standard-bearer. Back in April, Obama told the Philadelphia Inquirer that he intended to have “my Justice Department and my attorney general immediately review” any information that might be used to justify an investigation of the president or his aides. Like Biden, Obama averred that “if crimes have been committed, they should be investigated.” The Little Green Footballs blog has even turned up an Obama campaign flier about Iraq, promising to “hold accountable any perpetrators of war crimes.”

This is the lunatic left when it comes to power - this is what the Democrats invited into our political living room when they latched on to Micheal Moore and MoveOn during the 2004 campaign, and what they kept right on with when they chose Obama over Hillary. If you click on the link to the flier you will see that it does, indeed, assert that Obama will hold war criminals accountable. Now, you can think this means there will be, if necessary, a dispassionate examination of the facts and, if investigation indicates the necessity, there will be trials of all those reasonably accused of war crimes…but that is to entirely ignore the reality of the left. The left, which boosted Obama to the Democratic nomination, is already convinced that George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, Condi Rice and scores of others in the Bush Administration, past and present, are guilty of war crimes - and this doesn’t even start to cover the number of US military personnel the left accuses of war crimes.

It must be kept in mind that the genesis of the current anti-war left is actually a group called ANSWER - a front group for a hardcore communist outfit which went so far, once upon a time, as to praise the Chinese communist government for carrying out the massacre in Tienamen Square in 1989. These people started to fire up the paranoid conspiracy theories about 9/11 and about post-9/11 US actions literally within days of 9/11. It started small and absurd, but it grew and grew and via groups like MoveOn, it became mainstream.

One can try to dismiss this, but if you do you’ll be ignoring where the anti-war story comes from - it comes from the same line of thought, going right back to the Korean War, which accused America of all manner of war crimes. Back during the Korean War we were accused of torturing prisoners, murdering civilians, war profiteering, using chemical weapons, waging an unjust war, occupying a nation unjustly, interfering in an internal conflict, etc, etc, etc,…so, too, were we accused during the Vietnam war and now we’re accused of this during the War on Terrorism - the lies are half a century old but this is the first time they’ve wormed their way into power inside a major American political party.

Its not that Obama and Biden are kooks - not in the sense of being creator kooks; they are receptor kooks. People who simply don’t have the knowledge and wisdom to see through a con job. Schooled in the concept that America is wrong and that the weaker side must always be the just side, Obama and Biden (as with most liberals) lack that BS detector non-liberals have. This would all be a rather funny joke save for the fact that there really might be a President Obama who will be told by some lefty appointed to the DoJ that the evidence indicates war crimes by, say, Donald Rumsfeld. Obama won’t be able to counter the argument and he’ll go forward with the criminal prosecution of people who’s only crime is that they are hated by the left.

It is because of this sort of thing that I advocate - heck, I beg - honorable Democrats to wake up, smell the coffee and jettison the left. Yes, you might have to split your party and lose an election…but you might lose, anyways, and if you lose while getting rid of the kook left, you’ll at least be able to mount a credible opposition to the conservative GOP and you will, in the by and by, obtain power again. Failure to purge the left from the Democratic party will result in one of two equally unpleasant outcomes for liberals: permanent marginalization, or civil war if the left manages to start prosecuting conservatives for being conservative. We here on the right are going to do our part - we’re going to work for McCain/Palin; what will you Democrats do? Tie yourselves forever to people who hate America, or cut them loose?

    its socialism

the proverbial workers paradise, happened in russia and created the ussr, and again france when they beheaded the royal family…

stoking a lie to bring what the weak minded populace consider ‘justice” is a smoke screen of socialism…and its failure is as obvious worldwide to those who have any sense at all…

but you cant force 20 and 30 year olds that are hooked emotionally into the deception to instantly mature and gain understanding…most of us were once much more willing to try the unknown…until we figured out that this “unknown” is the darkness…the very tree that grew abortion and justified sodomy as a social good…and promotes cut and run theology…

we saw what that tree provides during the 8 years that clinton sat in office…while he pacified everyone that saddam was such and such…while doing nothing to actually end the war…even after saddams iraq had publicly declaired war against america….and fired on our military…thousands of times….

so dont get your hopes up liberals…bush has been investigated hundreds of times..by the ilk your side defends as upright and just…like reid and pelosi…..and they find nothing criminal….nothing to prosecute…

nothing should speak loudly to those who have sense….because campain promises that are really lies are what got the DNC power in 06, only to find the price of gas skyrocket, and the lack of action to protect homeowners from predatory lenders and instead, proped up the thieves that destroyed so many families dreams….and down payments….

    js,

(Dodging the rest of your post) While I agree that the Democrats broke campaign promises after getting elected into Congress in ‘06, and that the state of the economy does have something to do with it, you’re forgetting something very important. Aside from the conservatives (who obviously disapprove of a liberal Congress), many democrats themselves are disappointed with their Congress. Why? Because they didn’t offer any noticeable change. They didn’t differentiate enough the Republican majority from the Democratic majority. Many Democrats believed that they would be able to see and feel the difference there, but the fact that it’s been mostly invisible to the public has left many of them disheartened.

And Obama and Biden, being Senators, could be part of the reason why we have yet to see any of this change.

If the left tries to prosecute President Bush, and others, for liberating Iraq from a murdering dictator, they also need to prosecute the following members of the Democrat Party who voted to Authorize the Use of Military Force against Iraq:

    Baucus (D-MT)
    Bayh (D-IN)
    Biden (D-DE)
    Breaux (D-LA)
    Cantwell (D-WA)
    Carnahan (D-MO)
    Carper (D-DE)
    Cleland (D-GA)
    Clinton (D-NY)
    Daschle (D-SD)
    Dodd (D-CT)
    Dorgan (D-ND)
    Edwards (D-NC
    Feinstein (D-CA)
    Harkin (D-IA)
    Hollings (D-SC)
    Johnson (D-SD)
    Kerry (D-MA)
    Kohl (D-WI)
    Landrieu (D-LA)
    Lieberman (D-CT)
    Lincoln (D-AR)
    Miller (D-GA)
    Nelson (D-FL)
    Nelson (D-NE)
    Reid (D-NV)
    Rockefeller (D-WV)
    Schumer (D-NY)
    Torricelli (D-NJ)

I know a number of these individuals are no longer in the Senate, but that doesn’t matter. President Bush will not be President and they want to go after him.

It’s just another ploy by the Democrats. Similar to the stranglehold they have on pro-choice voters. Elect us so we can prosecute Bush. Elect us because we won’t take your right away. Blah. Blah. Blah. Reid even wants an investigation into why Olbermann and Matthews were removed from election coverage. Give me a break.

We DO need a change in DC, and the change McCain-Palin are offering is exactly the change we need.

Hello? Does anybody know where I can find Blogs for Bush? I’m so tired of him being persecuted (or is it prosecuted?)

Here is the Left’s next prong of attack on Governor Palin.

I watched the video. I’ve attended an Assembly of God service, and I also know a number of Evangelical Christians. They are all good people who mostly want to be left alone. I don’t subscribe to their literal interpretation of the Bible, but, you know what — in this country they currently have the freedom to worship and believe as they choose.

From everything I’ve read, two of the things most admired about Governor Palin by the citizens of Alaska are her faith, and the fact that she doesn’t use her position to force her faith and religious views on others. All other things being equal, I’d much prefer the leaders of my country be guided by a belief in something greater than themselves.

Clilly, Bolgs for Bush has been replaced by Blogs for Victory. Arcived postings still seem to be there, but by now, well you judge for yourself if you want to read posts from months ago.

“MoveOn.org” Pre-Bush Presidency: Obscure socialist organization.

“MoveOn.org” after first Bush Term: Major political organization with endless media coverage and ability to mobilize $ and people quickly.

“Blogs for Bush” Pre-Bush Presidency: Obscure blog.

“Blogs for Bush” after first Bush Term: “Blogs for Victory.”

    _______

think about it…its not about broken campaign promises after the election…its about the DNCs intent not to fulfill them before the election…and yes, they did admit to it….caught with thier proverbial pants down!!

  • 14. Moveoff  |  September 10th, 2008 at 6:18 pm

Wow kimberly4bush, my point was “mindless”? I hardly know you, but the heated atmosphere here has evidently caused you to abandon all niceties such as politeness.

While I am a conservative, I’ve never been a Bush supporter. I hope you will not seek to criminalize our political differences — it appears that much of the GOP is with me on this.

I think that President Bush’s meager performance has strengthened a previously obscure and moribund organization beyond all reason. He has also equated conservatism with corruption in the minds of many. Just my mindless opinion which I do not care to back up with statistics from some questionable website.

What’s more interesting to me, kimberly4bush, is when you decided to throw your President under the bus and become kimberly4victory.
