    Let the Swiftboating commence!

This is it! OMG! The Ayers/Wright (which will come next) card was all they had left. So you got the green light from the RNC to go with this did ya?

    There’s nothing left…except this…

This is really sad…no wonder McCain canceled his portion of the debate.

    You should be ashamed.

Swiftboating? You mean telling the truth about someone’s past? That is what swiftboating is. Wellington has consumed large amounts of the Messiah’s Kool-Aide and probably has a real nice tin foil hat to boot. A hard left pundit talking with another hard left pundit nitpicking an answer which is correct by the way.

Grasping at straws because character is a foundation for a person’s beliefs. Let’s see what executive experience Obama has…

Community organizer that left Hyde Park (and others) in worse shape than when they started while funneling money to cronies. CAC results - zero while funneling money to admitted terrorist. Professor of Constitutional law that has never written a paper or created a law and is ignorant in the field of his own degree on the Constitution. Part of the ChiTown political machine which finds it better to remove candidates from the ballots and run unopposed rather than debate them and win on merit. Votes present or is a no show most of his political career. Can’t find the time to help in the current economic crisis as his campaign is more important until it becomes a point of political expediency. His plans are a rehashed version of Carter proposals and we know how well they worked. Had to buy a mega-bus to hold all of the folks he has tossed under it.

Enjoy. Either way. McCain/Palin (which might fix things in this country) or Obama/Slow Joe Binen. It will be fun to watch the libs clinging to hope and change because they won’t be able to afford food & clothes.

    Because it’s important?

The Obama-Ayers connection has been thrashed to death. There is nothing noteworthy here. I read his WSJ piece - Kurtz ties himself in knots trying to wring something nefarious out of this old story. The Annenberg Challenge was an experiment in educational reform and there were no ethical questions relative to Obama’s involvement in it. The project came and went, and people moved on.

What is the subtext here? That Obama is somehow a secret radical, with suspicious ties to dangerous terrorists? Will we pay as much attention to what is known to be real? This guy Kurtz is no more than a Joe McCarthy wannabe.

I find it worth noting that Jesus Christ didn’t choose his friends for their sterling reputations - he invited several known hotheads to be his disciples; he deeply loved the poor yet he dined with tax collectors and Pharisees; he allowed his feet to be washed by a woman some thought was a whore. And we’re supposed to be bothered by Obama’s marginal association with Ayers, a professor of education for the past thirty years?

OK, yes. Let the Swiftboating commence.

    It um, worked you know.

  • 6. Timothy Horrigan  |  September 25th, 2008 at 6:44 pm

Well, you guys look pretty silly griping about “socialism” and “Marxism” while the Chenyey-Bush-McCain regime is trying to nationalize the whole financial-services industry.

If anyone is a Marxist around here it’s Cheney, not Obama.

    Because it’s important:

I suppose it must be important for poor saps like you to do anything you can to avoid talking about how pathetic and desperate the McCain campaign looks (or how mind-bogglingly lost Sarah Palin looks in her interview with Katie Couric). Grasp at those straws, wingnuts!

    Subject: Racism At The Polls

If a group were to vote purely by their race in their preference for a candidate at 90+% of their ballots cast is that not racism? When they are so clearly at odds with the voting of the rest of the country then it most certainly is.
With African Americans indicating that 90-95% of them will vote Obama then the day has not come when my brothers & sisters are able to judge others by the content of their character but instead judge him by the color of his skin alone. Shame on all those who are simply voting based on skin color and shame mostely on those of us who expect to be treated differently.

    Obama To Free Terrorists?
Are you for offering habeus corpus for Guantanamo detainees? Obama is!
We didn’t even give habeus corpus to the Nazi prisoners of war, so why would he be for giving it to terrorists who are pledged to life long war against us?

Obama Refuses To Just Kill Osama
Obama told reporters Wednesday June 18 that if bin Laden were found during his watch, he would bring him to justice in a way that wouldn’t allow the terrorist mastermind to become a martyr. Commenting on a 9/11 report indication of an executive order on Osamas head to bring him in dead or alive and allowing the CIA to kill bin Laden if capture were not feasible, he said “And if I’m president, and we have the opportunity to capture him, we may not be able to capture him alive.” He further stated he would not discuss what approach he would take to bring bin Laden to justice but instead referenced the Nuremburg trials for the prosecution of Nazi leaders.
So Obama is on record as stating he intends to rescind any supposed orders to kill Osama if it is not feasible to capture him. Therefore if a sniper gets him in our sights or a Drone plane identifies him deep in enemy territory he will pass on the chance to kill him and instead mount a “rescue/capture” action.

Cut & Run Is Not A Policy
Prior to WWII there were cries to not get involved. During WWII there were cry’s for another Armistice. These foolish cries were ignored and war policy was allowed to move forward to defeat a deadly enemy. Well folks, we’re in a war now and running home to hide under your bed is not a policy. Heck, I don’t want to be in Iraq any more than you do but running out on your promises and risking Cambodia, Iraqi style, is not what we should do.
If you break it you fix it, as painful as that may be.
Perhaps since Obama is a product of divorce he finds it palatable to cut and run instead of doing the hard work ahead.

Ted Kennedy For Obama - Yet another radical for Obama.
Are you kidding me? Obama sought out the support of Ted Kennedy? The same Ted Kennedy who is a serial adulterer, an alcoholic and arguably responsible for at minimum the negligent homicide if not outright homicide involving Mary Jo Kopechne. If you don’t recall, note that he purportedly crashed his car at 12:40am and did not report it to the police until after spending the night in his hotel room as well as after he found out the body had been discovered around 8am the next morning.
If this is the sort of persons support that you seek out to help you win the Presidency why the hell would I vote for you?

  • 14. Crikey  |  September 26th, 2008 at 8:26 am

: Obama - The Friends He Keeps
Another of Barack Obama’s “friends” speaks out and yet again we must consider how and whether to judge him by the friends he keeps.
Father Michael Pfleger, in a guest appearance at Obamas now infamous Trinity United Church of Christ, on Sunday, mocked Clinton for appearing to cry days before the New Hampshire primary in January, saying she was on the verge of tears because “there is a black man stealing my show.” He went on further to say : “She always thought, ‘This is mine. I’m Bill’s wife, I’m white and this is mine,” followed by “She wasn’t the only one crying, there was a whole lot of white people crying.”
Add these comments to those racist, anti American remarks of Reverend Wright, plus Mr. Obamas friendship with the Ayers (Weather Underground bombers and bank robbers) and you are left bewildered about what Mr. Obama was thinking as he made lasting friendships with these people. Considering the pattern, he is either a man of low judgment or perhaps worse yet, someone of their ilk. With friends like these….I won’t be voting for Obama

    Anti Israel Carter Backing Obama
In a political shift no less than a 9 on the Richter scale, Jimmy Carters recent Anti Israeli statements and actions have been earth shaking in the Mideast and throughout the world. President Carters Super delegate backing of Barack Hussein Obama, who has given clear indications he will be no firm supporter of Israel, should therefore come as no surprise.

Ayers Obama Controversy Overblown? Read On.
In 1969, Bill Ayers participated in planting a bomb at a statue dedicated to police casualties in the 1886 Haymarket Riot. The blast broke almost 100 windows and blew pieces of the statue onto the nearby Kennedy Expressway.
The following year he “went underground” with several associates after the Greenwich Village townhouse explosion, which caused the death of three of his terrorist cell members while a nail bomb was under construction. In Ayers’ words, decades after the fact, the bomb was “destined for the army base nearby,” Fort Dix in New Jersey. The massive bomb contained a box of carpenter nails, and though Ayers does not say it or admit it, it almost surely was intended to kill many people.
So whats wrong with Obama befriending this man? Clinton pardoned him so its all good now right? Surely you’d have no problem with our President having a known and convicted terrorist as a friend?

Who Do Terrorists Want As President?
Who Do Terrorists Want As President?
If you are in AlQueda hiding in some cave somewhere, what would your biggest Ramadan wish be? Would you want an attorney by trade with limited Senate experience who appears willing to deal with terrorist sponsor states or a seasoned Senator with combat experience who is strongly attuned with the military as well as getting things done on a bi partisan basis?
Lets not kid ourselves, we know Osama wants Obama.

    Obama Must Demand Madonna Apology
During her four act show at England’s Millennium Stadium, Madonna had a video interlude that contained images of destruction, global warming, Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, Zimbabwe’s authoritarian President Robert Mugabe — and U.S. Senator John McCain and then in another sequence, shown later, pictured slain Beatle John Lennon, followed by climate activist Al Gore, Mahatma Gandhi and finally McCain’s Democratic rival Barack Obama.
Obama must demand that his supporters not stoop to such to support his campaign. How would he react if the opposite candidates were on the end of those images. How would we all react if a star had any sort of offensive images in front of such an Obama montage.
To compare a war hero with a proven bi partisan track record in congress to Hitler, an African butcher, etc. is ludicrous. As a Beatle fan I am offended and my friends from India are pretty ticked at the Gandhi comparison as well.

    Anarchy For Obama
With Anarchists rioting at the RNC, after peaceful protests at the DNC, you can tell which candidate they are voting for. Obama obviously gets the Anarchy vote. Not sure that is a ringing endorsement but with associates like Bill Ayres, 1970’s weather underground bomber its no real surprise I suppose.

What Bill Ayres (Terrorist) Sees In Obama
Ever ask yourself why Obama has any relationship at all with US Grown terrorist and 60’s radical Bill Ayres? The guy admits to bombing and planning to bomb government targets in the70’s and yet he sponsored one of Obamas earliest State Senate fundraisers in his own home, worked with him on several boards and has a friendly relationship with Obama?
Now ask yourself the more important question, what does Bill Ayers, the radical, terrorist bomber, see in Obama that he likes so much he wants him in government?

  • 21. What What What  |  September 26th, 2008 at 8:33 am

Bill Ayres Is A Cop Killer. Why on earth would anyone associate with him?

  • 22. Smarmy  |  September 26th, 2008 at 8:35 am

The Bill Ayres friendship alone should have made the Dem’s run from this guy. Why have they continued to support him? What is wrong with the Dem’s that they want a terrroist lover in the White House?

  • 23. Deejah Thoris  |  September 26th, 2008 at 8:35 am

Run run run from the economy wingnuts and to the tribal fear of struck in the hearts of the weakest minded by the thought of terrorist Musselmen.

    Run whitey run!

I never thought I’d be so ashamed of my own race as I am today. The only thing worse than an arrogant person is an IGNORANT arrogant person.

You shouldn’t be ashame of African Americans for voting 90+ percent Obama. Despite what MLK said, this is a historic moment and it is right to vote with your skin on this.

Can I ask all of the wingnuts here what they were doing in 1970? I was a kid. How many of you guys and gals were adukts in that turbulent time? I’ve got some questions.

  • 27. rightlane  |  September 27th, 2008 at 1:45 am

You take Wright add Resko, Ayers, and the Fannie and Freddy contributions and you have a number of questionable relationship.

I think this is swiftboating. However, the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth spoke the truth regarding Kerry’s over-reaching claims concerning his hero status in Nam. Many of which proved to be correct. SBVfT proved to be very helpful in Kerry’s defeat. The Ayers and other questionable relationships have been established as true and don’t help Obama’s cause any either.
