High Risk of Voter Fraud in Las Vegas RNC Files FEC Complaint Against Obama Campaign

What We Can Expect From an Obama Administration

October 6th, 2008 at 09:47am Mark Noonan

First off, Obama has promised a “middle class tax cut” - what this is, exactly, is hard to define, but it seems to revolve around some Democratic focus-group results showing that middle class people are concerned with middle class issues and thus Democrats better come up with something to appeal to middle class people. The only track record we have on this particular Democratic program is Bill Clinton’s 1992 promise to give us a middle class tax cut. Sadly, Bill was unable to provide this as a spending binge commanded all funds possible…including a retroactive tax increase. We can, I believe, expect Obama’s tax cut to become a tax increase, too.

Obama’s people seem to have a hankering for a thing called the “fairness doctrine” - this is predicated upon the theory that liberalism is the default position and any non-liberal assertion in the media must be countered by a liberal response. Conservatives don’t give a two-penny dam what some liberal twit or other is saying on an obscure radio station and thus won’t avail themselves of the fairness doctrine. Liberals, on the other hand, care very much what the highly rated Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin, Ingram, etc say on the radio, and they will launch complaint after complaint regarding conservative comment and will demand equal time to respond. This intense harassment will be coupled with the sort of thuggish attacks on criticism we’ve seen by Team Obama against any of those who dare to question The One’s past, programs or motivations. Boiled down, we can expect a severe crimping of free speech if Obama is elected.

Senator Obama advocated a cut and run from Iraq out of a desire to build up kook left support for his candidacy. We can expect Obama to treat American foreign and military policy as if they were an adjunct to his personal, political fortunes. Only if it seems to be useful to Obama will any particular policy - good or bad - be followed. If it so happens that American need and Obama desire match, then that is fine and dandy - but if they don’t, America will come in a poor second. We can expect Obama’s foreign and military policy to be a compendium of Clinton’s erratic behavior coupled with Carter’s penchant for finding fault with America’s friends and excuses for America’s enemies.

Obama’s people are of that line of thinking which figures that Israel is the problem and if we can just figure out a way to get terrorists to love Israel, we’ll have peace - that the terrorists will never love Israel and will consider all concessions to be a sign of weakness is not a concept Obama or his people are capable of grasping. We can expect Obama to continually pressure Israel to give ground and to never, ever take a strong stand against those who seek the destruction of Israel.

Have Democrats ever had a fiscal year in which they advocated an actual reduction in the number of dollars the federal government spends? No - and thus we can expect that any idea about cutting the size of government is dead as a doornail under Obama.

Have Democrats ever had a year when they looked around and couldn’t think of a single thing to increase government spending on? No - and thus we can expect Democrats to pile on as much spending as they can.

Have Democrats come through with their 2006 promise to run the most open and ethical government in history? No. Oh, you think Obama will? I guess you can make an argument for holding that position, but the odds are that it will be corrupt business as usual for the party which hammered GOPer Foley for writing a dirty e mail or two but can’t find it in itself to eject William “Cold Cash” Jefferson (D-LA) from the House.

Democrats exerted great efforts to prevent a reigning in of Fannie and Freddie before the crunch hit. Will they now actually keep an eye out for trouble and act in a timely manner to prevent it? Perhaps - but Obama and his Democrats give no indication of having learned anything from the financial debacle than to blame Republicans for their own failures…and if it works in 2008 by helping Dems to victory, what makes anyone think they’ll change their ways in 2009? We can expect Obama and his Democrats to grandstand on things like Gitmo - which isn’t an actual problem - while real crisis are allowed to fester until they become unmanageable.

The last time the US military was in better shape at the end of a Democratic Administration than it was at the beginning was FDR/Truman…but it took a World War to convince a Democratic Administration that maybe we needed a first class military. We can expect Obama to let things slide in this area - especially as he looks for money to spend on various liberal programs.

We can expect strenuous efforts on the part of Obama and his Democrats to stop any measures designed to limit voter fraud.

Behind rhetoric about secure borders, etc, we can expect Obama and his Democrats to do nothing about illegal immigration but very much to ensure that their votes are cast and counted in American elections, provided they vote Democrat.

Any chance an Obama Administration will appoint any judge anywhere who is not pre-approved by NARAL/ACLU/NOW? Not a chance - so, we can expect Obama to appoint only ultra-liberal, activist judges from top to bottom as vacancies occur.

All in all, we can expect an Obama Administration to be a complete disaster - there is no area in which Obama has a policy edge on John McCain…its all about advancing liberalism, liberal power, liberal wealth and liberal politicians. America is a fine thing and if its not too much trouble Obama will spare a moment for her, but America will have to get used to the fact - if Obama wins - that she is subordinate to Obama and his Democrat’s personal interests.

I certainly consider myself middle class and I definitely received a tax cut from the Bush tax cuts. So, is Obama telling me that I didn’t receive one? Is he telling me he is going to increase that tax cut? And if so, how does he plan on paying for his programs? Because, taxing just the rich won’t be enough, do the math.

  • 2. hermie  |  October 6th, 2008 at 10:19 am

Well, he will just change the definition of who is ‘rich’.

  • 3. neocon  |  October 6th, 2008 at 10:27 am

Off Topic, but worthy of a mention.

I know the Democrats want to make this current financial meltdown as a refendum on Bush’s policies, and I am no great supporter of his fiscal governance, however, Congress is the political body that controls the countries financial purse strings and prior to January 2007, unemployment was 4.9%, The DJIA approached 13,000 and was steadily over 12,000, there were 52 consecutive quarters of GDP growth, and small business’s were expanding and employing at record rates.

Since Pelosi and Reid took office, that began to slow and now we find ourselves in this current mess. Coincidence?

  • 4. neocon  |  October 6th, 2008 at 10:38 am

    Another note:

Biden thinks that paying more personal taxes is patriotic? I’d be interested to know if Biden, or any Democrat, has paid above and beyond their personal tax obligation in the previous years. If so, I would congratulate them and consider them to be people of their word. If not, hmmmm.

You present a sad, sad, commentary on the current state of American politics, Mark.

If you believe everything you wrote about Obama’s agenda, and we all know McCain is just a dismal repeat of the same Bush BS, it sure is looking pretty grim for y’all.

Perhaps a two party system is not the best way to go, after all.

we can expect people like wright and ayers appointed to some of the highest possitions in government…this is obama’s record of long term associations…its not a gauge of freedom…its about undermining the constitution…not propogating justice and freedom…but slavery and radical theology…

if that doesnt scare ya…you might as we burn the constitution right here and now…

    neocon,

    No.

The current Donk leadership is so corrupt it will make your head spin.

Barney Frank (D), Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, had a “partner” who was an executive at Fannie Mae. For years, Barney Frank has stated that there was no impending crisis at FM/FM. Barney Frank has received over $40,000 in campaign donations from Fannie Mae.

Chris Dodd (D) , Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, has received $133,900 from FM/FM.

Barack Obama, Democrat candidate for President, has received $105,849 in just 4 years.

Three Fannie Mae executives, Franklin Raines, James Johnson, and Tim Howard, who were all implicated in “cooking the books” at Fannie Mae, have ties to the Obama Campaign.

The two individuals who were responsible for Congressional oversight of FM/FM not only failed to do their job, they were accepting $ from those who they were supposed to be keeping a watchful eye on, they were proclaiming “all is well and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac”, and they blocked meaningful oversight. They should be impeached and removed from office.

Hypocracy? Corruption? That’s today’s Democrat Party, its leaders, and its candidate.

  • 8. neocon  |  October 6th, 2008 at 10:57 am

    A-10,

Good to see you back. You’re singing to the choir here. Sadly, if Obama is elected, we will all realize that Pelosi is actually the brains of the party as Obama will prove to more ineffective, and more corrupt than she is.

In addition to your list, I will add the three sons of Reid, who suddenly found lucrative lobbyist jobs upon his appointment and Pelosi’s son who found a high paying job of a constituent, and he doesn’t even have to show up for work.

Not too mention Michelle’s employer who suddenly realized a sizable grant upon her employment and then of course the Annenberg Foundation and William Ayers, of which documents will not be released.

To call them corrupt is to be kind.

  • 9. neocon  |  October 6th, 2008 at 11:01 am

    A-10,

I will also submit that people who don’t understand the origins of the current financial mess and the ties to corrupt and ineffective Democratic leadership, are just too fu%#king stupid to vote. Sadly they will though.

All in all, we can expect an Obama Administration to be a complete disaster

Well, of course you do, but that’s because you’re very ignorant (intentionally so, I would wager) as the blog posting above indicates. Just a quick skim for starters:

First off, Obama has promised a “middle class tax cut” - what this is, exactly, is hard to define

Actually, no, it’s surprisingly easy to define.

Obama’s people seem to have a hankering for a thing called the “fairness doctrine”

What a nice, vague statement. You don’t have anything from Obama saying this is what he’d do, so instead you have to resort to Obama’s “people” having a “hankering” for it. That would have to strengthen up considerably just to be called weak.

Obama to appoint only ultra-liberal, activist judges from top to bottom as vacancies occur.

And we can expect uber-conservative activist judges from McCain. So what, really, is your point? That only wingnuts should be judges?

We can expect strenuous efforts on the part of Obama and his Democrats to stop any measures designed to limit voter fraud.

You have, of course, nothing to back this statement up (do you ever have anything factual to back up any of your statements? Rarely, if ever)–but it plays into a nice talking point for you, so why not just recite it as fact, right? After all, you don’t seem to know the difference.

And so on. How sad for you, Mark. This is what animates you, evidently: Made-up assertions, a determination that the feverish paranoia in your head is actual reality, and rank fear and hypocrisy. Gotta love that desperation.

    TalkingPoint,

Thanks for the link, it actually supports voting for McCain as he offers more of a tax break for the middle class, those making $60K-$111K.

Also, it clearly demonstrates that Obama’s tax cuts don’t even come close to paying for his proposed policies. Care to inform us where the rest of the money is coming from?

    Obama Wants NRA Ads Banned
    http://www.theabsurdreport. com/

The Obama camp has been threatening television and radio stations to keep them from airing anti-Obama ads.

The latest target is the NRA and stations in Pennsylvania.

Earlier this week, the National Rifle Association’s Political Victory Fund released a series of radio and television spots to educate gun owners and sportsmen about Barack Obama’s longstanding anti-gun record. In response to the NRA-PVF ads, a clearly panicked Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) are doing everything they can to hide Obama’s real record by mounting a coordinated assault on the First Amendment.
    […]
The NRA says Obama’s camp are sending out these “intimidating cease and desist letters” to cable operators and television stations, threatening their FCC licenses if they run the ads.

The NRA charged that “Obama and the DNC have been using strong-arm tactics reminiscent of Chicago machine politics to try and cover up the truth and silence NRA by forcing the stations to assist them in hiding Obama’s radical anti-gun record.”

And now, Obama and the DNC have opened a new front in their assault on your First Amendment rights by calling on their followers to contact these station managers to demand that the stations not run NRA-PVF’s ads.

NRA stands behind the accuracy of these ads, and NRA attorneys have responded to the Obama campaign’s despicable and abusive attempt to trample on the First Amendment by sending a thorough rebuttal to station managers. This rebuttal clearly and conclusively refutes the Obama campaign’s fallacious claims that the ads are inaccurate.

The NRA has set up a Web site detailing its position on Obama at

    http://www.gunbanobama.com.

we can expect that any idea about cutting the size of government is dead as a doornail under Obama.

Have Democrats ever had a year when they looked around and couldn?t think of a single thing to increase government spending on?

Yes, Mark, there is something on which the Dems will not only not increase, but reduce spending. You pointed it out:

The last time the US military was in better shape at the end of a Democratic Administration than it was at the beginning was FDR/Truman…but it took a World War to convince a Democratic Administration that maybe we needed a first class military.

Let’s not forget than under Clinton, the military underwent a huge downsizing.

To add to your history lesson, at the start of WW2, the US military was the 19th largest in the world. We moved up to 18th only when Germany overran the Netherlands.

we all know McCain is just a dismal repeat of the same Bush BS, it sure is looking pretty grim for y?all.

McCain a repeat of Bush? Guess who might keep Bush’s current Secretary of the Treasury, Henry Paulson and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, at least during the transition. Obama complains about Bush’s economic policies and opposes the war (or what’s left of it) in Iraq, yet might keep the two men responsible for both.

  • 15. A-10  |  October 6th, 2008 at 11:20 am

    neocon,

“Care to inform us where the rest of the money is coming from?”

Easy. Tax the “rich”. (Which already pay most of the income taxes) Repeal the Capital Gains Tax cut (Which will raise taxes on anyone with a IRA or 401K). Raise corporate taxes (Which everyone knows - with the exception of liberals - corporations really don’t pay taxes, they just pass the cost on to consumers). Pass a “Windfall Profits Tax.” (Which will raise gas prices as oil companies pass the cost on to consumers) Raise the Social Security tax ceiling.

Those are just a start. Expect more to come.

  • 16. TalkingPoint  |  October 6th, 2008 at 11:24 am

it actually supports voting for McCain as he offers more of a tax break for the middle class, those making $60K-$111K.

That’s the best spin you can do? Really? Did you notice those bottom three brackets that encompass 60 percent of U.S. taxpayers? Did you notice how Obama is giving a bigger break to those 60 percent?

Also, your spin is just straight-up wrong. You targeted the $60K-$111K bracket and claimed they’re gonna get a bigger cut from McCain. I have to wonder if you have literacy problems because the exact opposite is true, as is very, very plain to see (yet somehow still above your comprehension level). In the $66,355-$11,645 bracket, McCain offers a cut of 1.4 percent, or $1,009 on average. Obama offers a cut of 1.8 percent, or $1,290 on average.

Notice how 1.8 is a bigger percentage than 1.4? Notice how $1,290 is a bigger return than $1,009?

You really should just stop before you embarrass yourself yet again. We go through this every time–you try to sound all tough and end up making yourself look worse with each statement. Sonning you like this is routine at this point, and I’d start to feel bad about it were it not for your eagerness to get slapped down.

Walk away, kiddo. Just walk away.

    more from the absurdreport.com

    Welcome To Camp Obama

Election ‘08: Voters coast-to-coast are receiving e-mails from the Obama campaign encouraging them to sign up to learn pre-election agitation tactics at “Camp Obama.” Red kerchiefs, anyone?

When readers first alerted us to the camps, we thought it might be another hoax that migrated into inboxes. But it’s for real.

The unsolicited pitch goes like this: “Camp Obama attendees will receive real world organizing experience that will have a direct impact on this election. Graduates of Camp Obama will go on to become Deputy Field Organizers who will lead this campaign to victory in crucial battleground states around the country.”

The letter continues, “By participating in Camp Obama you’ll get the kind of experience that Barack got as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago, where he learned that real change happens from the bottom up.”
    [...]
…a trainer at Obama headquarters in Chicago is seen speaking next to a wipe board with the words “Saul Alinsky” scrawled across it.

Alinsky is the late Chicago socialist and street agitator who is considered the father of community organizing.
    [...]
Obama calls his Alinskyite experience “the best education I ever had.”

“Be absolutely ruthless,” adds Camp Obama director Jocelyn Woodards, who leads the intensive two-day training course for campers in Chicago.

In the Alinsky model, organizing is code for agitating. For revolution. He had no patience for liberals who merely talked of change.

    Dirty politics from Camp Obama

Earlier this week, I wrote about the dirty tricks campaign against journalist Amir Taheri following his revelation that, in a private meeting in Iraq last July with Iraqi leaders, Barack Obama tried to persuade them to delay the agreement being hammered out with the US government on a draw-down of the American military presence. According to this account, which quoted Iraq’s foreign minister Hoshya Zebari (pictured), Obama had thus privately sought to undermine an American government foreign policy initiative – an explosive revelation. Taheri subsequently dismissed as tendentious Camp Obama’s response which he said deliberately confused two separate agreements under discussion; and he also revealed that, following publication of his story in the New York Post, he had been subjected to death threats, menacing calls about his tax status and passport, and a cyber-attack which disabled two of his email accounts.

Then Camp Obama tried another tactic. It told Jake Tapper of ABC News that Obama’s July meeting in Iraq…

we can expect lots of dirty laundry with obama…like the above!!

  • 18. js  |  October 6th, 2008 at 11:31 am

so tell us fat check…do you really think a .4% larger tax cut will support the 1 trillion in spending growth that obamasiah proposes….so think on that while you slosh around more of the horse dung you are chewing on…..

  • 19. js  |  October 6th, 2008 at 11:37 am

just straight out from reality, we can not expect obmasiah to fulfill the rhetorical claims he is spitting out… fact is…his party…the DNC…is famous for using lures for votes…like they did in 06 by promising to prosecute Bush and promising to bring the troops home and end the war….they deliberatly lie…and they have been doing it forever…the health care package has been political spin for the DNC ever since WWII ended…and the tax cuts? longer than that…

but history screams out the truth…when elections are over…they feign attempts to do something…half measures that are guaranteed to fail…if any measure at all are taken

obama and the dnc are liars…they both belong to the same rotten tree…a tree that can not give good fruit…

Did you notice those bottom three brackets that encompass 60 percent of U.S. taxpayers? Did you notice how Obama is giving a bigger break to those 60 percent? - factcheck

Do you know that 90% of those people don’t pay income taxes? Therefore, those measly handouts are called tax credits, not tax cuts. Got it?

I will refer you to my post #9. That’s you in a nutshell.

  • 22. neocon  |  October 6th, 2008 at 12:21 pm

    Also Talking,

You are correct on $60K-$111K, I was looking at the bracket above that. However, the measly $200 difference is pathetic in the lower bracket. Overall, McCain’s is a far better plan in that his will retain and increase jobs. Obama’s will kill jobs, that’s something I don’t expect you to understand.

  • 23. js  |  October 6th, 2008 at 12:26 pm

its pretty obvious that obamasiah has his head up his rear end when he promises tax cuts….and promises 1 trillion dollars in new spending….

what does he think americans are…stupid like he is…i mean look at the source people…the man took his family to a black supremacist church for twenty years…and expect you to believe that he didnt pay enough attention to figure that out?

    Wake Up

  • 25. js  |  October 6th, 2008 at 1:09 pm

there is no balance scale for the truth…it either is the truth…or its not the truth…pretty black and white…of course there are those who would have you believe that there is a grey area between the black and white that applies…but if it you inject falsehoods into the truth…you no longer have the truth…so effectively…liberal defense of abortions and gay civil rights make it extremely clear where the darkness is…just like the MSM’s omissions about the obamasiah are lies to the public trust…

Fuzzy math???? Obama promises a tax deduction for 95% of Americans. This must include those who don’t pay taxes to make any sense, since almost 50% of the population pay no income tax.

He fails to mention that, unless the Bush tax deductions are made permanent, 2011 will result in the biggest tax increase in history. Some of the details are as follows:

    1. Child Credit: This credit will increase from $700 to $1,000. (this will affect the lowest income taxpayer the most)

    2. The 10 Percent Bracket: The upper income level for this bracket will increase by $1,000 per filer.

    3. The 15 Percent Bracket for Joint Filers: the upper limit of this bracket will increase from 180 to 200 percent of the upper limit of the 15 percent bracket for single filers, creating a marriage penalty.

    4. Standard Deduction for Joint Filers will increase from 174 to 200 percent of the standard deduction for single filers, creating a marriage penalty.

    5. Alternative Minimum Tax: Exemptions will decrease by $6,500 per filer.

    6. The Income Tax: Rates will increase between 3 and 4.5 percentage points in each bracket on January 1, 2011. (This is an across the board killer)

    7. The 10 Percent Bracket: The bracket will be eliminated on January 1, 2011, raising the income tax burden of many workers by 5 percentage points. (taxpayers are in for a big surprise).

    8. The Estate Tax: The top rate for this tax will increase to 60 percent on January 1, 2011, and the value of an estate exempt from taxation will shrink to $1 million, which is less than it is today.

I guess by then we will all be working for the government and everything will be free (but unavailable) so it won’t matter.

  • 46. kimberly4victory  |  October 6th, 2008 at 4:18 pm

OMG! The MacAttack was on FOX, CNN (until they cut him off for a very unimportant Obama email). It was EXCELLENT.

“Our current economic crisis is a good case in point. What was his actual record in the years before the great economic crisis of our lifetimes?

This crisis started in our housing market in the form of subprime loans that were pushed on people who could not afford them. Bad mortgages were being backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and it was only a matter of time before a contagion of unsustainable debt began to spread. This corruption was encouraged by Democrats in Congress, and abetted by Senator Obama.

Senator Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed. But the truth is I was the one who called at the time for tighter restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that could have helped prevent this crisis from happening in the first place.

Senator Obama was silent on the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his Democratic allies in Congress opposed every effort to rein them in. As recently as September of last year he said that subprime loans had been, quote, “a good idea.” Well, Senator Obama, that “good idea” has now plunged this country into the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

To hear him talk now, you’d think he’d always opposed the dangerous practices at these institutions. But there is absolutely nothing in his record to suggest he did. He was surely familiar with the people who were creating this problem. The executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have advised him, and he has taken their money for his campaign.

He has received more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than any other senator in history, with the exception of the chairman of the committee overseeing them. Did he ever talk to the executives at Fannie and Freddie about these reckless loans? Did he ever discuss with them the stronger oversight I proposed? If Senator Obama is such a champion of financial regulation, why didn’t he support these regulations that could have prevented this crisis in the first place? He won’t tell you, but you deserve an answer.

Senator Obama has also criticized earmark spending, those wasteful pork barrel projects stuck in spending bills behind closed doors. And yet, despite his talk on the campaign trail, his actual record is full of requests for earmark projects. In his three short years in the Senate, he has requested nearly a billion dollars in pork projects for his state — a million dollars for every day he’s been in office.

Far from fighting earmarks in Congress, Senator Obama has been an eager participant in this corrupt system. In one instance, he sought more than 3 million dollars for a new projector at a planetarium in his hometown.

Coincidentally, the chairman of that planetarium pledged to raise more than $200,000 for Senator Obama’s campaign. We don’t know if they ever discussed the money for the planetarium, and no one has asked Senator Obama. But even the appearance of this kind of insider-dealing disgusts Americans. I’m going to put a stop to that, my friends, if I’m President.

I have made every single donor to my campaign publicly available, while Senator Obama has taken in over 200 million dollars from undisclosed sources. We have already seen the potential for fraud because of his refusal to disclose his donors. His campaign had to return $33,000 in illegal foreign funds from Palestinian donors, and this weekend, we found out about another $28,000 in illegal donations. Why has Senator Obama refused to disclose the people who are funding his campaign? Again, the American people deserve answers.

    Oh yeah, baby.

  • 55. Fool Disclosure  |  October 6th, 2008 at 7:29 pm

Blaming Congress or the President, Democrat or Republican, for the long-time-coming financial crisis demonstrates a great ignorance.

The companies doing the collapse bought and paid for the leadership were seeing right now. Arguments over who’s to blame will seem thuddingly irrelevant in a mere year’s time.

  • 56. cam  |  October 6th, 2008 at 8:00 pm

Regardless of who is elected the first thing they will likely have to do is throw out much of their plan for the economy. While Congress is responsible for the purse strings it is the President who gets the credit or the blame.

I recall when js seemed to indicate that Bush had some magic powers as the bail out was first anounced. At first there was an uptick. Now that the market is responding more realistically, considering the circumstances, suddenly its someone else’s fault. Just like the problem itself where some are ok with socializing the risk and privitizing the reward. Some like to give credit where none is diserved and deflect blame when the crap hits the fan.

  • 57. Jeremiah  |  October 6th, 2008 at 8:02 pm

Make no mistake, if Obama is elected as our next President it will be the darkest day in American history.

Life will change drastically after Mr. Obama makes his Supreme Court appointments….many of the freedoms we once knew will be ripped away. Ministers of the Gospel along with Conservatives Talk Radio will be silenced.

Abortion will be made on-demand, if not manditory - One of the first laws Obama has said he will sign is the Freedom of Choice Act, which will strike down all existing restrictions on abortion, thereby, increased support to Planned Parenthood’s evil agenda.

Preferential treatment will be extended to militant homosexual groups - Marriage will be destroyed.

Islamists will likewise receive special recognition.

Hunters and anyone who wishes to own a gun for personal protection will no longer be able to do so.

Taxes will be raised to fund for a national government run healthcare system.

Thus, the testing will have come, to see who is Patriot, and who is not.

    Ready yourselves for battle!!!!

  • 58. cam  |  October 6th, 2008 at 8:08 pm

    Jerimiah,
Are you esposing civil war if Obama wins?

  • 59. Jeremiah  |  October 6th, 2008 at 8:23 pm

    Cam,

Buddy, with all due respect…War is what it took to end slavery, war is what it took to stop the Nazis’, war is what it took to stop the atheists during and post French Revolution, war is what it took to stop Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, and war is what it will take to stop the socialist leftism in this country.

You don’t think so? You might just be surprised.

  • 60. Observer20  |  October 6th, 2008 at 8:39 pm

    cam,

I think there will be troubled times for whoever becomes president. Neither will be hugely popular, as embittered as this campaign has become.

I am hoping that if a revolution occurs it is against corruption in all forms, not just the interest groups. I pray that if it comes to it, the people will say they’ve had enough of the televised pundits doing the thinking for them, of bogus facts and misleadingly partisan non-partisanship. I hope it is a mental revolution of intelligent skepticism and personal accountability, and I wish that people will learn to go to the source themselves instead of relying on word of mouth for all the facts.

Of course, that’s assuming that there is such a revolution. Chances are it won’t happen, but one can always hope.

  • 61. phnx  |  October 6th, 2008 at 9:28 pm

Observer 20 you can find the breakdown of taxpayers at the follwoing link:

    http://www.ntu.org/main/page.php?PageID=6

What you will note is that the percentage of taxes paid by the bottom 50% of taxpayers DECREASED in every year of the Bush administration from 3.97% to 2.99 in 2006. At the same time the wage threshold increased in each year from $28,528 to $31,987. In addition the percentage of taxes paid by the top 25% of taxpayers increased in each year from 82.9% to 86.3%. The threshold on this group also increased $56,005 to $64, 702

These statistics show that Obama and the Dems LIE when they talk about tax breaks benefiting the rich.

  • 62. phnx  |  October 6th, 2008 at 9:33 pm

OBTW incase anyone was wondering how the top 1% made out under the Bush tax cut…their share of the tax burden increased from 33.9% to 39.9%!!!

Go ahead and increase the taxes on this group and you will see dramatically reduced revenues.

If you want to increase revenue…lower corporate tax…that will also increase job creation, as well as infuse capital into the market.

Of course Obama plans to do the exact opposite…guess what’s gonna happen.

  • 63. phnx  |  October 6th, 2008 at 9:35 pm

In case you are wondering why I didn’t post 2007…the IRS has not published the data yet. The trend will be the same.

war is what it will take to stop the socialist leftism in this country

Hilarious. I can just see Jeremiah out there on the barricades, Bible in one hand, gun in the other, fighting for his cherished theocracy.

I don’t think war will be necessary. Just queue up and vote - that’s how it works in a democracy. Sure, you don’t get to fulfill your authoritarian fantasies, and you might just have to learn some tolerance, but it’s the American way.

  • 68. phnx  |  October 6th, 2008 at 10:41 pm

js the amount of misinorfmation among the left, the lack of critical thinking, and utter lack of understanding or our history and what made us the greatest nation on the face of the earth, is really troubling.

I can’t envision a revolution. Having been in combat, the thought is too horrible to contemplate. What I do see is an increase in polarization of the country which could lead to the break-up and balkanizatoin of the US. That would be a pity.

  • 69. Jeremiah  |  October 6th, 2008 at 10:47 pm

Just queue up and vote - that’s how it works in a democracy.

You can be sure, if I’m still livin’ I’ll vote. Again, though, that’s where if you’re a patriot, you’ll vote for the right man, and the right man is Sen. John McCain. If you’re not a patriot, well, then you’ll vote for that coniving snake Obama.

Sure, you don’t get to fulfill your authoritarian fantasies, and you might just have to learn some tolerance, but it’s the American way.

Who’s “wishing” for war? Who said I was “authoritarian”, you? HaHa! KOOKOO! You better check, the kookoo bird just dropped one on your kooky head!

The only one seeking authoritarianism, my friend, is your shady friend Obama, and his terrorist allies.

And that’s what I say, Patriots won’t put up with his indignatory actions…they will rise up and oppose him!!!

    Fact,

Yes you have certainly run rings around me, we’re all impressed by your ability to read a chart. What you have failed to address is the fact that Obama’s tax cut is just a fraction more than McCain’s yet touted you as being the economic impetus needed. Care to answer that rather than dancing in the endzone?

  • 71. js  |  October 6th, 2008 at 11:14 pm

i dont think that will happen phnx…i do think that we will find foreign interests promoting dissent…and i see it in the obama campaign…explaining where it comes from at this point is tricky

who? …russia…china…iran…even the saudi’s wahabbi instinct may be behind it all…but in the end when its truely exposed…the US will close ranks again and do what needs to be done to save the constitution…

  • 72. phnx  |  October 6th, 2008 at 11:15 pm

Obama’s tax cut is meaningless after 2011 when the Bush cuts expire. That will result in the largest tax increase in history. The left has promised to reverse those tax cuts before then.

    Obamas Advisor Ran Fannie Mae

Franklin Raines, a former Fannie Mae Chairman & CEO is one of Barack Obama’s key advisors. Watching the youtube clip on the Fannie Mae hearings from 2004 you will see him defend a broken system, stating it needs no further regulation, while covering up problems and preventing Republican efforts to address the endemic problems at Fannie and Fredie. Check him out on youtube and get ready to fume.
If Obama has this guy advising him, we need to watch our wallets. Ayres, Reverend Wright, Rezko and Raines, with friends like these Obama is unfit for command of anything.

  • 75. Bootlegger  |  October 7th, 2008 at 8:17 am

    Expect Surrender
Just 24 months ago Iraq was in trouble one man saw a quick way out. Obama had his pull out plan designed to push ahead with a speedy withdrawal of US troops which would have meant an even speedier withdrawal of allied troops. Even now he calls for a hasty withdrawal and set deadlines that Al Quaeda won’t necessarily abide by.
If we had listened to Obama we would have been out of Iraq now. One can argue that without Allied Support under the Obama Scenario, the Iraqi Army would be in chaos, the government would have collapsed, outright civil war would have erupted, oil might be at 300 a barrel and Iran would effectively control the Middle East.

Lets thank the level headed politicians and others like him for talking to the Military and working toward a solution instead of running away from the problem. If your politician was one of those who stood firm, send them a thank you and remember them at the next election.

  • 76. FactCheck  |  October 7th, 2008 at 11:14 am

Looks like you had the wrong link there. I think you wanted this one, which points out a simple, inescapable fact: “The United States economy has grown faster, on average, under Democratic presidents than under Republicans.” Given our current situation, wouldn’t you want faster growth rather than slower growth? (Actually, no, you guys would rather try to swiftboat–the real definition, not your alterna-definition–than address anything meaningful. It’s the only chance your candidate has.)

    Wrong.

    And as for this:

In reference to your line about Dem administrations, as the caveat goes: Past results are no guaruntee of future performance.

Yes, historical trends are to be ignored, but a short position paper written in 2003 by an organization whose entire reason for existing is to forward the GOP orthodoxy on tax cuts–that’s gospel truth!

I’ll give you this much, though: At least “Fat Chick” is a decent play on my screen name. I mean, “Fart Check?” That’s just lame and nonsensical.

“Obama has promised to raise taxes.

Wrong.” Talking point (aka Fact Check, aka Fat Chick)_

    From factcheck.org

“Obama said he could “pay for every dime” of his spending and tax cut proposals “by closing corporate loopholes and tax havens.” That’s wrong – his proposed tax increases on upper-income individuals are key components of paying for his program, as well.”

“Obama proposes billions of dollars in increased corporate taxes in the form of “loophole closings.”
