What John McCain Intends to Do Jonah Goldberg Experiences the Tolerant Left

From Politico:

“Your Honor, the prosecutors have been overzealous in pursuing a crime that never happened,” wrote disgraced Chicago real estate magnate Antoin “Tony” Rezko to his judge a few months ago. “They are pressuring me to tell them the wrong things that I supposedly know about Gov. Blagojevich and Sen. Barack Obama.”

What’s interesting about this claim is that, according to press accounts, Rezko is now indeed talking to prosecutors.

What Rezko has to say is far more likely to impact Democratic Gov. Rod Blagojevich, whose administration is being investigated.

Not one witness at Rezko’s trial said Obama did anything improper.

And yet … what are prosecutors pressuring Rezko about? And now that Rezko’s reportedly making like a canary, what song is he singing?

UPDATE: An Obama supporter helpfully points out that Rezko’s lawyer Joseph Duffy has walked his client’s letter back, saying that prosecutors never intimated it is investigating anything about Obama.

“I’m not aware of any impropriety related to Rezko and Obama,” Duffy said, per the Chicago Tribune. “At no point has the government ever asked me a single question about Obama, or any wrongdoing involving Rezko and Obama.”

That Obama supporter is whistling past the graveyard - Obama is hip deep in the massive and nauseating corruption which is all there is to Chicago Democratic politics…whether or not the prosecutors will decide to pursue the matter if it relates to Obama remains to be seen (people are fearful of taking on the Democratic party as it is not only corrupt, but quite nasty in the way it takes endless revenge upon anyone who crosses it), but Obama is not clean, not by a long shot. It is, quite simply, impossible for anyone to rise in Chicago Democratic party without willingly engaging in corruption - there is not and cannot be an honest man in Chicago politics because the whole system is built and sustained on political corruption. This is, by the way, nothing peculiar to Democratic party politics per se - any one-party political entity will naturally gravitate towards corruption due to humanity’s fallen nature (something liberalism fails to understand). The only way such things can be changed is via a massive, revolutionary change of heart amongst the electorate, or outsiders calling the corrupt to account and one or more of the corrupt actors detailing the who, where, when, why and how of it all.

Obama may win on November 4th - and if he does, all you liberals will have done is help elevate a deeply flawed leftist to office who, like Clinton, will be mired in corruption scandals from day one to day last of his Administration. Meanwhile, he’ll also push policies which will be bad for America, and bad for the world. Is beating the GOP worth this, liberals?

THINK.

I am sure this post will attract a lot of KOS-mo-nots and leftist slimers. But, irrespective of what their responses are, they should be aware that stuff like this will be coming down the pike for their Beloved One for the next four years. In only two years — despite a stiflingly sympathetic MSM — all of this stuff has hit the light of day. What will it be like when Obama, as POTUS, has the spotlight upon him?

I hope these jerks can handle the abuse that they so merrily dished out for the entirety of the Bush administraton.

My guess is that they will not.

What’s wrong with this picture? Calling Obama “The Messiah” in front of a crowd of Islams? Americans even considering electing Obama to be our next president… After what we have been thru on 9/11. Just can’t believe it.

no matter how pittifuly true it is…the info rezko gives up probably wont be released any time soon…even if it is directly implicating obamasiah in criminal acts…until an investigation is conducted and the legal route determined…they will probably keep thier mouths shut about anything they know…even if it puts a criminal in the white house…

If Obama does get elected, look for a pardon.

    Maybe one for even Ayers.

Hey if Clinton can pardon Puerto Rican terrorists nothing would surprise me anymore.

hmmmm …. my deleted were about palin’s and mccains immorality and corruption — that seems pretty related to the topic at hand. and palin’s is in the news right now — c’mon, discuss her lack of ethics and abuse of power — here’s a perfect opportunity. Perhaps she’ll make it into your next book.

Note: This is a conservative, Republican blog…if you want to endlessly yammer on about the lies Team Obama is trying to pin on McCain/Palin, then there are plenty of blogs for you to do so. Daily Kos and Democratic Underground would be a great place for you to start, as they are just chock full of the most batsh** crazy leftwing conspiracy theorists you can imagine. Have fun over there - but here we shall adhere to both the truth and the topic at hand.)

Lol! Okay, I haven’t been deleted. Not yet anyway. With regard to the topic, it seems to me that this Rezko thing hasn’t even risen to the level of accusation. At present there are only rumors about what Rezko might say. In other words, what we have at present are alleged allegations.

    Lol!

Now that I think about it, I suspect my neighbor may be cheating on his wife. I know they’re married, so the potential is there. And they drive away alone sometimes — and sometimes they’re gone for hours… all alone, without each other. The implications are pretty clear, don’cha think?

    Ayres, Raines, Rezko, Wright?

Who are these men and what is their association with Barack Obama. I encourage you to do the research yourself after reading the brief summaries below.
Bill Ayres is a former member of the Weather Underground. During a planned bombing of a police monument a bomb went off in his house killing three of his friends. His group bombed the Pentagon. Bill Clinton pardoned him for some unfathomable reason. He has served on several boards with Barack Obama and appointed Obama to at least one of those. Obamas first political fundraiser was held at Ayres home. Since his pardon he has written and spoken of his past and is unrepentant on the bombings, which did kill several innocents, and recently suggested we need a communist revolution in this country.

Franklin Raines, former CEO of Fannie Mae was forced out in 2004 by the mortgage finance company’s board of directors Fannie’s financial statements. During his tenure he received a 25,000,000 bonus and also testified before congress that the assets were solid. On July 16, 2008, The Washington Post reported that Franklin Raines had “taken calls from Barack Obama’s presidential campaign seeking his advice on mortgage and housing policy matters.” Also, in an editorial in August 27, 2008 titled “Tough Decision Coming”, the Washington Post editorial staff wrote that “Two members of Mr. Obama’s political circle, James A. Johnson and Franklin D. Raines, are former chief executives of Fannie Mae.”

Tony Rezko is a past fundraiser for Sen. Barack Obama, was convicted of scheming to use his clout with the politicians in Illinois to squeeze kickbacks out of companies wanting to do business with the State government. This is the same Mr. Rezko that Mr. Obama purchased some land and a home from.

Reverend Jeremiah Wright was Barack Obama’s, friend, mentor and father figure. He suggested the title for his book, The Audacity of Hope. Reverend Wright is on record as blaming the government for causing AIDS in the black community, blamed America for bringing 9/11 on itself, numerous racist statements against Caucasians as well as being anti semetic and a former Muslim who is a fan of Louis Farrakhan.
