Poll: 13% of Americans Admit to Being Idiots

Click here to get Caucus of Corruption: The Truth About The New Democratic Majority by Matt Margolis and Mark Noonan.

Geesh:

When it comes to important national issues, 73% of adults nationwide trust the judgment of the American people more than that of America’s political leaders.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 13% place more trust in the judgment of the politician.

Now we know how large the real, rock solid and irreducible base of the Democratic party is.

No doubt that percentage was a lot higher during the Bush regime.

There seemed to be no objection whatsoever to any of his policies by the devoted faithful.

His judgment was considered top notch and there was he!! to pay if you held a different opinion.

  2. fartotheright says:

Mark, you can tell when you hit the spot when part of the 13% immediately chimes in and tries to defend themselves with a childish , mindless comeback. (I am referring to CO of course.) ;-)

  3. The Arctic Fox says:

Ah yes, polls, only regarded as useful here if they’re A) by Rasmussen and B) say what the Republicans want said.

Well, I’ll take your Rasmussen poll and raise you a Kaiser Poll (PDF) on whether or not it’s important to reform health care right now:

    Among Democrats:

    Yes: 77%
    No: 20%
    Undecided: 3%

    Among Republicans:

    Yes: 35%
    No: 62%
    Undecided: 3%

Now here’s the interesting bit – Among Undecideds:

    Yes: 61%
    No: 38%
    Undecided: 1%

MoE +/- 3% in each case

We can extrapolate that to be an average of all three groups, and it ends up as:

    Yes: 61%
    No: 37%
    Undecided: 2%

So when you see the Republicans sitting on their hands when it comes to the president talking about healthcare for children, and obstructing by voting no on anything to do with healthcare reform – even if by your reckoning 13% admit to being idiots, there’s still a HUGE percentage who aren’t fooled by the Republicans being partisan obstructionists of the public will.

In the immortal words of VP Dick Cheney… “So?”

  5. Considering the amount of brain softened people who voted for Obambi, I’m kinda surprised the percentage is that low.

From a biomedical perspective at least, a soft brain is much healthier than a hardened one. Trust me, I’m a doctor, lol!

    So Mark,
Did you admit to it or did you think no one noticed.

Sorry, that was just too easy.

  8. casper says:

    Mark,
I have to give you credit. It must have been hard finding a poll that you use as a topic. I mean, when you look at most of the polls it must be very depressing. Obama’s figures have even gone up on all of the polls this week and the numbers of Republicans have goon down.

  9. bozo says:

What was Cheney’s approval rate on the day he left office?

    FROM THIS CBS REPORT:

    Vice President Dick Cheney

Vice President Dick Cheney also leaves office amid negative perceptions, as his approval rating stands at just 13 percent. That matches his lowest approval since he assumed office.

Thirteen percent. 13%. 13 percent. Yes.

    Thirteen.Percent.

  10. 1luv2h8lib5 says:

The percentage would be much higher if you polled the sycophant lemmings who pollute this blog. They all feel that government should take over our lives.

Obama’s figures have even gone up on all of the polls this week…

Give credit where credit is due–Earbama’s speechwriter deserves a raise…

The government has always controlled your life.

There isn’t anything of yours left to take over.

You think because you have guns that you are in control of your life?? LOL

You are a silly man the Government always wins!

Ever read any Goethe 1luv2h8l1b5? “None are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free.”

    Spoken like a true brownshirt.

The over riding problem we have in our current society is the fact there are just too many stupid people, not complacent people. I would much prefer complacency, as that invovles a lack of action. Stupidity, in action, can be harmful, as we are witnessing now.

I heard a gentleman on one of the evil conservative talk radio shows the other call in on the topic of the ACLU. He was a well spoken man, and his question:

“What does the acronym ACLU stand for?”

Of course at first, no one knew he was refering to the acronym, and assumed he was inquiring as to their broader stated mission.

And just too many people, like this man, are walking the planet and voting………for Democrats.

    The Democrats platform:

“Vote for us and we’ll do the thinking for you”

Does that mean you can rest easy, fmrmarine, as they are not interested in beheading YOU and YOUR ILK? Talk about being on the right side.

    We are ARMED !

  17. ricorun says:

    fmrmarine: We are ARMED !

That’s right! Only the walkers impede us. Lol! Fortunately though, most of us are already equipped with helmets, chin guards, and drool pans. And if we fall and can’t get up we have electronic devices to communicate such to the outside world. And in case Kenneth is listening, the frequency is of course top secret.

[by the way, for my more aged colleagues, that last reference was to an REM tune]

In this particular case I will only provide my diagnosis on the basis of video evidence, preferably edited. I hate pus and stuff. Ick.

How do you know that the 13% approve of Obama? I believe that the 13% would be placed proportionately into both Dems and Neocons.
