We report, you decide:
First, quoting myself:
I’d rather have 30 Senators I can rely on than 60 Senators who are in it for themselves…
Now, Senator DeMint (R-SC):
I would rather have 30 Republicans in the Senate who really believe in principles of limited government, free markets, free people, than to have 60 that don’t have a set of beliefs.
Or is it that great minds think alike? Or perhaps that there’s room for one more rock solid conservative Republican in the Senate? For now, I’ll just congratulate Senator DeMint on the sheer brilliance of his remark.

I’ve always thought that people in the media and on the big scene have been monitoring this Blog. There’s a lot that goes on down here.
So no surprise really. And yes, I think Mr. DeMint may have been reading and this quote came to the fore-front from his subconscious. He picked a good line to pick up on in any case. It’s a good statement, hands down.
Mark,
I’m amazed at your capacity to the extract the wrong conclusions from unfolding events.
Here’s hoping that you and Senator DeMint get what you want.
guy,
You forget that we are Christians – we win, in the End.
What we are here to do is the right thing and allow the ultimate fate to be decided by God…we’re not here to get along because the editorial page of the New York Times says we must…
lucas,
It isn’t the first time I’ve seen one of my points hit the Congress or the MSM 24-48 hours after I made it…could all be coincidence, of course, but this one was too close to pass up.
Mark
i have heard a few conservative talk radio shows say things along the same lines that are posted on BFV and thought Hmmmmm>
The amount of trolls that post on this relatively small blog is telling.
Also they ALL ignore certain threads entirely, while swarming others with multiple posts all in lockstep, and spouting nothing but donkRAT speaking points………coincidence? I think NOT!!
guy, I am at your capacity for making asinine statements. If I where you I’d not even waste my time posting if I thought what you thought. I am just venting my irritation with asinine trolls like you, that’s why I am posting. OK now I’ve vented, I am good now.
I guess this proves it, Senator DeMint is really js02.
casper, LOL, are your trying to be funny?

C’mon… that was pretty humorous. I got a chuckle.
Mark, congrats, you’ve been (almost) quoted. Good for you.
From the comments on this blog on who you guys want to “purge” from the GOP, 30 senators would be a stretch. It would be more of about 12-15.
This reminds me of Buckley’s statement:
“I’d rather be governed by the first 2000 people in the Boston phone directory, then by the 2000 people on the Harvard faculty.”
