Democrats Lock Republicans Out of Committee Room

Childish and weak, Democrats:

Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-N.Y.) locked Republicans out of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee room to keep them from meeting when Democrats aren’t present.

Towns’ action came after repeated public ridicule from the leading Republican on the committee, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), over Towns’s failure to launch an investigation into Countrywide Mortgage’s reported sweetheart deals to VIPs.

And there’s the really bad part of it – Democrats are engaging in this nonsense in order to protect their own corrupt members, and their fat cat, corporate buddies.

Just disgusting…

    It may be “disgusting”, Mark, but there’s really no downside for the Donks. They know that their actions won’t be reported except by Fox News and a few conservative talk radio hosts.

    This is pretty funny – considering that the Republicans refused to give the Democrats a room to meet in during the Bush administration when they had the majority. They had to meet in the basement of some building because they were not allowed to use any other room. I guess the Democrats did learn something from the Republicans after all. I am surprised that you have a problem with this Mark. You didn’t when it was the Republicans puling these stunts. Now it really is time for adults to take over Congress – enough of these silly, childish stunts by both parties.

    That is the way its always been – the majority party keeps all the fancy committee rooms for themselves.
