Doesn’t get much worse than this:
Franklin and Marshall College Poll Director Terry Madonna says Arlen Specters’ 29% approval rating is the senator’s lowest performance since the survey began asking that question in 1991.
On top of that, just 23% of respondents say the longtime incumbent deserves another term.
…And a historically large number, 66%, say its time for a change.
I think we Republicans got the better end of the deal – Democrats, congratulations!

There were an awful lot of Republicans who told Snarlin’ Arlan not to let the door hit him in the backside on the way out. And there were Lefties on this very blog who said, if the GOP kept chasing people like Specter away, it would be a minority party forever. I guess we’ll see. There are still a few people who value at least a modicum of loyalty, and a 42% life-time Conservative rating is less than the minimum, IMO.
Kinda OT, but an interesting take at the Washington Post this morning on NY-23rd.
I read the following line from the article and felt a tingle go up my leg.
what a victory by the Conservative Party candidate would say about the national political field.
I think there is a sense of disgust, and distrust for incumbents, on scale never seen before, and the article supports that opinion. Pelosi, Redi and Obama have done a tremendous amount of damage to the Democratic party, and the go along to get along RINO’s, will suffer the same fate in what I believe to be wholesale changes in 2010.
on the skids?
that clown should be shot out of a cannon, like one of those circus clowns, back to his home from DC.
