Climate Change is real, but not because of man. As the globe turns and circles the sun, it changes the orbit and its face to the sun is constantly changing. The earth's axis changes as does magnetic north. Theres no global warming. There's just ignorance amoung the uneducated. I'm not talking about college degrees; just taking science courses in high school. Those would be tough courses so why not take basket weaving or pottery?
Man cannot really change the climate, so why go green when we have all the natural fuel sources to last 100s of years. Wake up Lemmings, if you don't know the science of the universe, stop puppeting ignorance. You are stuck on "STUPID"

So called "free" traders & trilateralists, from BOTH parties, in combination w anti-union corporatists desired the export of durable goods manufacturing. the theory was to benefit the american consumer & stockholders, & promote democracy thru creation of 3d world middle classes.

The reality, however, is the predictable decline of the american middle class since, like it or not, unionism elevated millions of american families into the middle class. $20/hr w beneies was replaced w $12/hr w/o benefits.

meanwhile our society has not properly promoted tradeschools which are more realistic for many citizens than 4 yr degrees which they will not obtain. european highschools test then career track kids early, many into the trades.

additionally, the low overseas wages (relatively speaking) are NOT elevating 3d world families into the middle class.
one only has to visit the manufacturing belt in mexico along our southern border to observe the shanty towns, garbage, & crime surrounding foreign factories.

the real question no politican asks, or answers, is does the american consumer ALWAYS deserve the lowest possible price regardless of defective design, toxic materials, environmental damage, & the real decline of the middle class both domestically AND overseas?

the effects of "free" trade are anything but free and yet serve to enrich the few at the expense of society.

"GREED" A byword of the radical Left. If you can convince lemmings that acting in ones' own self interest is somehow bad or wrong, you can turn the lazy and unmotivated against the productive and active.

But human nature is to act in ones' own self interest. This is not to deny altruism, not to deny the fact that huge portions of the human race can and do make sacrifices for the benefit of others, because they do.

But one of the many conflicting teachings of Leftism is related to this. On one hand, the need to undermine religion because it sets up an authority other than the State has Leftists arguing against religonclaiming that it is oppressive to try to impose or mandate morality, that advanced mankind should be ruled only by the morality of inclination.

But on the other hand, Leftists deny the existence of altruism by inclination and demand that it be imposed by the State.

In fact, the single most effective mechanisms for organized altruism is religion. Religions organize and deliver more humanitarian services, and do it better, than any government agency, and it is all volunteered, not mandated by law.

And individuals act in the most remarkably unselfish and generous ways, risking their lives to save the lives of others, fighting for the freedoms of not only their own nation but of others, acting as First Responders to help those in need, serving as missionaries and in Peace Corps types of endeavors, volunteering time and services in efforts such as Save a Smile (where plastic surgeons travel around the world with portable clinics repairing cleft palates) and Doctors Without Borders, and literally thousands of other efforts.

The greatest philantropists of our time have amassed huge fortunes and then used them for the betterment of others.

The underlying reason for the insistent mantra of "greed" is to establish, in the minds of the gullible, a need for a strong State to impose what it then defines as humanitarian dictates. That is to say, to strip freedoms to establish State controls, in the name of fighting that evil "GREED".

Why is this really happening? Well, to be sure one reason is because of a lack of US manufacturing capacity. GE, for example, has an order back-log for their turbines a mile long. But one of the big reasons for that is that up until very recently, building wind farms in the US was a risky business, whereas in Europe (in particular) it was much more of a sure thing. So there was little incentive to expand manufacturing capacity in the US. It wasn't NIMBY-ism, over-regulation, or corporate idiocy, it was governmental idiocy that prevented US manufacturers from jumping on the bandwagon. I've been speaking out about this very thing for the better part of two years -- the market for renewable energy is huge, and it will continue growing. Thus, the time is now to reliably incentivize renewable energy in this country, because if we don't get on the bandwagon the wagon will pass us by. This China deal should be viewed as a shot across the bow. It might be the first of its kind, but it certainly won't be the last. We have to play catch-up. Fortunately, some things have already been done. But more needs to be done.

erecting wind turbines will provide jobs for a few hundred people....for a few months and a few years...

building the turbines in our own factories would provide jobs for thousands and thousands of people for decades...

what is job creation...some slight of hand trick the socialist democrat party uses to decieve the idiots that vote for them so they can get re-elected?

Changing Washington will only affect one of the three causes you gave. Cultural changes are needed for the other two, and spiritual and moral changes are needed for the fourth and fifth, which are greed and lack of respect for human rights.

Incidentally, do you remember those Bangladeshi textile workers I linked to a while ago? They're rioting.
