Do any Democrats out there have any spine, at all?

Gov. Deval Patrick won’t take anymore action to prevent a convicted terror bomber from speaking at the University of Massachusetts Amherst despite his strong opposition, he said today…

…Even though the event will be held on the state-owned Amherst campus and a professor invited Levasseur, Patrick said he will take no more action to stop the terror leader from speaking.

“I can’t control the comings and goings on campuses,” Patrick said.

When asked if the professor should leave the university, Patrick said, “You can escalate and escalate, and I’m not going to go there. I get the academic freedom, all I’m saying is there is an issue of taste and sensitivity that also ought to be considered.”

How about just going there with 10,000 other people and simply not letting the terrorist in? How about doing whatever you can to stop this desecration of higher education?

Nope, none of that…just a mild rebuke. Gotta be careful, you know, get off that liberal ranch a bit too much and you’ll pay the price…especially when you’re a bit concerned about your re-election prospects in uber-liberal Massachusetts.

Wait, I’m confused… Are you not one of those that wish the government to have as little power as possible? You should be thrilled: in this case you got your wish.

  2. tiredoflibbs says:

“maybe if we ignore it, it might go away.”

This works with blog trolls, but it does not work with leftist terrorists.

The attitude that is being fostered and cultured in the White House.

It is no longer “The War on Terror”, it is some mindless politically correct phrases.

It is no longer “Terrorist Attacks”, but “Man Made Disasters”.

This is the same attitude towards terrorism errr, man made disasterism, that resulted in the Ft. Hood shootings and 9/11.

This is the hope and change you voted for.

    French,

Because we want weak government it doesn’t follow we want no government, at all.

    Wait, I’m confused…

That’s OK, Frenchie — we all know that.

  8. Amazona says:

Spook, frenchie is trying to pull the same sleight of hand they always try, which is to conflate local government with Federal power.

OK, you’re right–ther is an excellent chance they ARE too stupid to know the difference, but still….

Here, in just a couple of posts, the kneepad RRL stooges are arguing, first, that a demand for a strictly limited federal government means small government across the board, and second, that the RIGHT to free speech is also the DEMAND that a government entity give the speaker a government-funded platfor.,

And then they snivel and whine when we call them idiots. Go figure………..

Dumb as dirt and damned proud of it.

Personally, I love these guys, because they are a daily reminder of the absolute ignorance of the RRL and its dependence on such as these,

They don’t make points based on coherent political philosophy. They don’t argue politics. They are merely pestiferous little speed bumps who can do nothing more than dart in and out with meaningless effots at gotchas, just speed bump wannabes.

Patrick is practicing what I call the Pontious Pilate manuever, ostentatiously washing his hands in public to try to establish plausible deniability for something that actually is in line with her personal political beliefs

Isn’t it funnny that the “transparency” promised by Obama is occurring only in the inability of his minions to hide their true agendas, and not in the legislation he is trying so hard to push through unread?
