George W. Bush launched the George W. Bush Presidential Center today. I was able to catch the webcast. It was nice to hear his voice again after months of hearing Obama’s voice and wanting to puke.
You can view the remarks of President Bush and Laura Bush here.
About the George W. Bush Presidential Center
The George W. Bush Presidential Center will be the centerpiece of President and Mrs. Bush’s ongoing commitment to improving our nation and the world. It will examine the ideals and principles that guided President Bush’s major decisions throughout the defining years of his presidency. The Center will be a platform from which world-class scholars can build upon these principles—contributing vital new ideas to shape current and future public policy debates..
Anyway, I plan donate to the center. If you are interested, there is an embedded form in the extended entry.

I am glad to see this, and see that it is even more important now in light of the bizarre direction in which the nation is now being sent.
Finally, an honest speech from a real President.
GW Bush–President for life!!!
I’ll contribute when the nukes r found.
I will do it when he admits that invading Iraq was a very bad idea that has created a whole host of other problems:
- adding massively to the US deficit
- killing over 4000 American soldiers
- killing hundreds of thousands of Iraqis
- Given AQ another place to hide
- strained relations with countries considered friends
- taken away vital resources from Afghanistan
- made Americans look like war mongering idiots
if he’s man enough to admit that it would have been considerably better not to invade Iraq, then I will give him 25 dollars to help him secure his legacy as a wise statesman.
I don’t have anything against him personally (he seems like a good enough guy), I just thought he was a horrible president.
I’ve been looking for this. Does he by any chance mention Iran in his speech? (I’m not going to watch the whole thing if I don’t at least know how long it is.)
