I don’t watch the show anymore, but I am glad to see they are starting to use their skits to call attention to his incompetence and poor judgement.

    Yes, guys – I DO agree that the skit on Obama was funny.

    However…

    Did you see the skit that they ALSO included in the show.

    It was a fake movie trailer for the movie 2012 that had snippets of Sarah Palin interlaced with destruction.

    The premise was that if Sarah Plain is elected President in 2012, the Mayan preduction of Apocalypse will come true.

    2012 is about the end of the world, and Sarah being elected might just bring it on. LOL!!

    See, SNL does something that you guys on this site could never even in a million years understand or even contemplate – they show FAIRNESS to both sides.

    Liberals or Conservative you will get ripped on Saturday Night Live.

    That is the beauty of it – equal opportunity ridicule.

    They actually see things from REALITY – where there are faults on BOTH sides of the aisle – they don’t show blind partisanship and live in a fantasy world where everything Liberal is evil and everything Conservative is good.

    In short, the writers of SNL (even though it generally sucks these days) have a MUCH better grasp on reality than most of you people who post here.

    Check out the Palin spoof – you will probably hate it but at least you will see that they “hate” equally. And if you are offended by it and yet loved the skit where Obama is made fun of, it just shows that you have no sense of humor when it comes to interfering with your REAL hatred of Liberals.

    Google it – I’m not sure if it is up on YouTube of not, but hopefully you guys can see it.

    I disagree that SNL is “fair.” SNL simply tries to create skits about what it thinks its audience will respond well to to generate viewership. This does not necessarily follow any rules of fairness as it does the rules of business. In this case, SNL changes its product depending on what it thinks its viewership is palatable to. In other words, it’s not fair, especially if it estimates its standard viewership has certain political tastes.

    Perhaps we could, however, suppose that as SNL is more willing to do these kinds of skits now that they are perceiving a tangible change in the patience/political slant of their potential viewers.

    Notice how SNL attacked the obamateur:

    his inability to lead,

    his inability to make a decision,

    his willingness to pass the buck.

    I agree, observer, SNL is responding to the viewers change in attitude towards the overly-hyped and carefully packaged Obamateur of the campaign to the inept and incompetent Obamateur of the occupier of the White House.

    Yes, it is sooo fair to say that if Sarah Palin is elected president it will be the end of the world. And funny as hell, too.

    This Palin Derangement Syndrome is really bizarre. A couple of weeks ago I was watching NCIS and when the agents knocked on a door the woman inside shot through the door with a shotgun. The response? “Who does she think she is? Sarah Palin?” We just looked at each other and said “huh?” and changed the channel. Talk about gratuitous. And unfunny.

    There are actually people so stupid they think she said she can see Russia from her house, so caught up in the Hollywood slime machine and so clueless they can’t tell the difference between an invented character working off a script designed to diminish the real person, and the real person.

    Ever notice how the attacks on her are always personal? And stupid? Never on her policies or her accomplishments, just blind ignorant bias

    SNL is even going after this “health care” boondoggle….too funny.

    But the sex thing was wrong. Crude as the reference was, it had the wrong guy getting serviced—Barry should have been offering himself as the symbol of what China is and will be doing to the US if we don’t get a real president in there.
