Time magazine’s Jay Newton-Small just told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews on Hardball that “aides in the Democratic Party House leadership’s office” are sending out to the press personal dirt on US House Rep. Parker Griffith, who yesterday announced that he was switching form the Democratic Party to the Republican Party.
Time’s Small postulated that this was an effort to scare other House Dems who likewise considering a jump to the Republicans.
If the guy really was dirty, Democrats, then why did you keep him on? You either were being disgusting by protecting a corrupt politician, or you’re being disgusting now by lying about someone. Which is it?

This shows how truly evil today’s left is, and it ain’t confined to the blogosphere. Congressional aides are doing this? Who ordered them to do so? Do ya think the’re acting on personal initiative?
Mark, as you did in your book, can you start posting dirt on all the filthy liberal Donkaroaches here on this blog? Maybe a series of posts directed at the crooks and cheats on the left in Congress?
Just a suggestion. I used to see this on lefty blogs a lot.
Interesting that corrupt Democrats want to out another Democrat who is switching parties. Seems when Specter changed to a Democrat(again) that we said, “good riddance, you can have him”. Several Dems are leaving office next year and several more will be voted out. This health sham care bill will be one hard sell to their constituents. How do you tell those you represent that you don’t give a damn about them and that their grandchildren will be saddled with a debt that will never be paid for?

Democrats could ask the same question. During the campaing the NRCC ran attack ads that quoted Griffith saying “America is the only threat to America” and that Islamic terrorists are really of no concern. The ad wasn’t a lie those are words in context that Griffith said. I think that he was right on that matter, but that’s another discussion entirely.
So now the GOP accepts that Islamic terror groups are not the #1 threat to the US? I doubt that to be the case at all. But for the sake of adding one more seat to the GOP side of the aisle I think anyone would have been welcome.
What Griffith is really is a moderate opportunist who will say whatever he has to say to stay in office. In this case he’s miscalculated terribly because the GOP will run a conservative in his district to beat him in a primary.

Yesterday KMG1 chimed in very early to accuse Griffith of providing poor care to a cancer victim all in the name of money, exposing his irrational hatred of doctors and conservatives.

Griffith’s seat has been held by “conservative” democrats for 100+ years, and since the majority of that district recently voted for McCain and now their representative moves to the GOP, I think those are both clear indications of how far left the democrats have gone.
No, cluster, all I did was put up the exact words the Republicans used against Griffith just last year. The accusations came from your side, as you well know since I also posted a link to the Republican attack ads.

If you think he’s corrupt, why do you want him? Were the Republicans lying about him before with their attack ads?
I really don’t see a whole lot more coming from the left on Parker Griffith than what came from the right when Arlen Specter changed sides.

I was unaware of the man’s existence until he switched and I always enter in with a presumption that the person in question is more honorable than myself – and if I think I’m fit company for the House, then I can only figure that this man is.
Now, could he be dirty? Certainly – there’s as much a chance of it as there is among all people. The thing is – if Democrats have a whole bunch of real dirt on this guy – not just innuendo and such – then what does that say about them? They knew he was dirty and protected him. On the other hand, if he’s not dirty, then they’re slandering an innocent man. In either case, the Democrats look like poop.
